Plot

Cheerful and bright, So-Hyun (Kim Tae-Hee) is creative as well. She has a dream to become a scenario writer. But, she lost everything when his father died in a fire. But she never gives up. She starts from the bottom with a dream. Yu-Ra (Oh Seung-Hyun) is So-Hyun's old friend. But, she has a sense of inferiority to So-Hyun. She want to overcome this feeling but her competitiveness and rivalry against So-Hyun drives her into endless desires.

Si-ay Apr 25 2026 2:15 pm Hello: I just tried to watch this on Kocowa because Gong Yoo was in it. I did not enjoy the storyline and at first thought it was rather good, so I stuck with it for awhile. Eventually, it led me to watch the end and work backwards, until I had seen enough. It was very unsatisfying and should not be considered a romance series, The FL and the ML did not have a natural chemistry that came across the screen, and I felt no investment in their relationship. They felt to be stiff and awkward. Forced. Gong Yoo of course was top notch in his acting and role. It was also a very unrealistic portrayal of real life, as the female lead was always smiling, cheery and forgiving of every slight, no matter how vicious. Her only other emotion was watching her hold her head down, when she felt insulted. I've seen Gong Yoo in some of his older works, this being one and One Fine Day and although he's given roles that like to show off his upper body in them like shower scenes, and sleeveless shirts, he handles his roles as realistically as the scenes, content and writing allow. Honestly, I was glad I didn't spend more hours watching it and got out of it what I needed and can gladly, and happily move on and not recommend this to anyone, unless of course you want to see Gong Yoo in his early days of acting. It didn't turn out as I had hoped and again the outcome, was unrealistic to the film industry, adult relationships and interactions. The FL was no prize and not in terms of her looks, or her acting but the role and the writing. I've never seen any KDrama so stiff, and repressive as this one. Only her best friend, Gong Yoo and Mr. Oh really expressed emotions and real acting.

Jillibean Jul 17 2025 10:28 pm I like the old dramas, they have a certain charm that's lacking in most of the newer dramas. They're also at a more languid romantic pace than most newer dramas. In theme this classic drama reminded me a bit of the newer Our Movie (2025), mostly about people who love the art of film. I enjoyed seeing the main actors so young looking too. You can watch this on Koc+.

Park Min Jul 15 2023 4:44 pm The drama was embarrassingly lackluster in all aspects. The writing was its biggest downfall, especially how the characters were written, nothing but a major disappointment from otherwise a capable cast. I wouldn't recommend unless you're a die hard fan of one of the cast members. Keep in mind that Gong Yoo isn't the main male lead here.

Rudi Jun 26 2023 3:26 pm I was introduced to Kdramas by watching Gong Yoo in Goblin and fell in love!! I've been hooked on kdramas and Gong Yoo since then. He is the best kdrama actor out there. Others come close, but no one compares to him! Keep up the good work sir!

For information, at the end of the episode So Hyeon confessed her feelings to Mr. Park, even though she felt, she would slowly close her feelings because Park's father's background was the cause of her father's death.

However, after CEO Park apologized to her, he begged So Hyeon to help him not to be the cause of his son's disappointment again, pleading not to implicate Park Tae Young in his crimes. I'm sure this request makes So Hyeon to open her heart again to Mr. Park.

Even though it only ended with a hug, but for me the hug was meaningful enough to describe their future relationship ^^

-Jun Pyo (Gong Yoo) only like her after he knows that she is the director's daughter. The past few episode before he know, he didn't show any interest in her.

-There's no backstory about his character, we only know he went to the same school as Yu ra and he likes Director Kim, Soo Hyun's father.

Hence ,it'll make zero sense if they end up together.
