Plot

Unmarried 50 year old Minako (Yuko Tanaka) leads a quiet life, working at a supermarket and delivering milk locally. At night she finds solace in novels, her only escape from her dreary daily existence. Keita Takanashi (Ittoku Kishibe) works for the local government and nurses his wife, Yoko, who is dying of cancer. One day Minako delivers milk to Keita’s house and recognises him as her first love from high school and their lives take an unexpected turn.

Joel Foucault Dec 27 2018 1:03 pm This is a comment to Ogata Akira movie director of many hit movies, the great filmmaker of the past twenty years.

First of all The Milkwoman, one of your greatest films, is a thorough critique of capitalism and social services hinging on Kaita's perceptions of the social life of Hiroshima in the year 2000s. I have seen this movie myself at The New Cinema Film Festival of Montreal which is a milestone in my own life as far as understanding how excellent movies often integrate keen visuals, humor and deep social issues.

Now I must come to my point. Something is eternal in this movie from a relationship point of view as the characters and the crew of the movie intersect on a larger scale than the mere business aspects of movie making. In an attempt to recreate these types of environments suitable to deeper intersecting relationships a suggestion may be made but this is extremely edgy. We must come to understand the bond linking characters on the screen.

This is not for the faint of heart and may be deemed nonsense to some but this must be said some psychics cannot make the fatal mistake as per eternal intersection of individuals, let's be clear, on whether they have or share a common destiny. No big money is involved as this would be counterproductive and entice the psychic in a world of fantasy.

Again this is not for the faint of heart but a movie director showing two actors in love on the screen will resonate forever more in the minds of the audience in case these actors were born for each other. This is purely incidental that I have found this and may cost only, let us say, twenty dollars Canadian (CAD) for a single visit at an unknown venue in Tokyo.

Resonance of current pragmatic endeavors with otherworldly aspects strikes a deep chord when Tom Cruise is on the screen with Nicole Kidman and when Ogata Akira directs a movie with the excellent main actress of The Milkwoman.

I hope this is clear although abstract in expletive terminology.
