Kang Sang-Ung (Lee Joon-Ho) appears like an ordinary man. He works as a public servant at a community center and dreams of owning his own home. Yet, Kang Sang-Ung somehow possesses a supernatural power. He doesn't know how or why he got his power, which is superhuman strength. His power also relies on the amount of cash he possesses. He becomes super strong when he has cash and after he uses his strength, his cash goes away. He always struggles to have enough cash to use his power. His longtime girlfriend is Kim Min-Suk (Kim Hye-Jun). She is a realistic person who prioritizes efficiency and she also has a talent for numbers. She is surprised about her boyfriend’s supernatural power. She also sees his power as being inefficient due to the need to spend his own money, yet she supports him more than anyone.

Meanwhile, Byeon Ho-In (Kim Byung-Chul) and Bang Eun-Mi (Kim Hyang-Gi) also have supernatural powers. Byeon Ho-In works as a lawyer and his supernatural power is activated when he drinks alcohol. He is also the self appointed chief of a Korean organization for people with supernatural powers. The purpose of the organization is to fight against a criminal association who hunts down people with supernatural powers. Byeon Ho-In recognizes Kang Sang-Ung's extraordinary abilities and suggests that they should work together to save the world. Bang Eun-Mi is a young woman with a telekinetic power that is fueled by how much calories she eats. Her favorite food is bread and her power comes from mostly the bread that she eats. She is a reliable colleague to Kang Sang-Ung and Byeon Ho-In. These people struggle to protect their normal lives against villains who are trying to throw the world into chaos.

I barely made it to the final episode.

I thought it would be a nice superhero movie, but it was a totally boring one.

- You are in a fully collapsing burning building, WHY are you having a long loving moment? GTFO - You are traumatized from the roof suicide, how are the others not feeling the urgency to ask what he sees? - How can you not look for CCTV while breaking in? - How are there no CCTV at a mass company gates? - You spying in a night club, can you BE any less discrete... - WHY on earth would you answer a phone call while running for your life? - WHY wouldn't you use the money in the bag to lift the door? - WHY would you stop moving just bcuz of a spotlight? RUN! - WHY would you do a mission with the expensive suit? bring changing clothes! its not your first rodeo. - The restaurant scene was sweet but ridiculous - Having all the "hero to the rescue" events just a manipulation from the antagonist doesn't really make sense - Plot twist of Jo anna and Ho-in.... just dumb imo with how the events unfolded - WHY did you throw the wallet instead of telekinesising it to his hands?? - how did the elevator kept open for so long and then closed? arent there any buttons?? - WHYYYY on earth would you kill the only crucial person that helped get your powers? you tested your powers on other ppl anyway - All these powers, what is his fuel then? doesn't make sense - regular ppl getting throwing breaking through walls and ceilings and floors, howwwww

Theres is NO urgency WHATSOEVER when they want something to happen in the plot, nor a common sense when, again, they want something for the plot, ridiculous and disappointing.

(the last battle scene tho was actually so emotional, that was beautiful.)

The actors were great though, given what they had to work with

Nik Jan 11 2026 6:36 pm I can not fully second what other viewers wrote about the drama. Lee Jun-ho did a great job. The drama is based on a webcomic, which I don't know, and it feels like this. It's a story about superheroes with flawed powers.

The writing is not always consistent and odd here and there, that I can second. Best example is the last episode. Without spoilers: who without super powers can survive what was in the lift? And there is another big example which I will not write here, just this much: it has to do with the one in the lift referring to what happened in episode 1, this makes no sense :) But maybe the webcomic explains this? No idea.

But beside this: it was never boring and also entertaining, not the best drama I've watched but I like the cast and I'm also fine with having watched these 8 eps. "Possessed" was a waste of time compared to this one :)

I meant after so many excellent series like Reed Sleeve, king the Land and Typhoon Family what is he doing here??? The plot is so stupid and the direction so bad, everything is not good. Also a pitty for Lee Chaen Min . They deserved much more

The last episode is like the writer trying to toss everything in the last minute, also the Hermione's Prisoner of Azkaban plot at the end. It's a waste of the actors like Kim Eui-Sung, Kim Byung-Chul and Kim Won-Hae

Life is so unfair those in the position and has enough money to help others are true evil...

just imo Jan 03 2026 12:04 am I watched it because the casts were promising, but I dropped it after watching two episodes. The script was terrible, I didn't like it at all, everything seemed out of place, and some of the characters were incredibly annoying even the main leads. What a shame.

If you want to enjoy this series, maybe don’t use your brain too much, just watch it.

But as for me, I dropped it.

K-drama Holic Dec 31 2025 12:08 am I wish the script could be written better. First of all, it doesn’t make sense that Sang Ung only had to spend few hundred won to recover himself when his father shot him with the nail gun or when the loan-shark hit him he only need a bundle of money to recover, but he had to spend 30 million won just to pull a bus. Isn't recovering supposed to be spend more money than pulling a bus, by logic? Second, I agree with previous comment that who the hell standing inside burning church to "propose" instead getting out and the fiancé questioned "where did you get the money from?" really sound shallow to me, when literally he just saved her, yet the description of her character is "support him the most"? Probably she'll get better in later episodes, but those scenes in early series already sitting wrong in my mind.

Looser Dec 30 2025 4:02 am I think this is a great series, even though I stop watching when first episode was end, i have no problem with the story, cast or anything else, its just something wrong with me, that i could'nt stand to watch the end of first episode when his mom gave a lot of money, but have to lost all of them, i know its just a movie, but i cant stand to watch anymore, i feel really sorry to my self, maybe its just my condition that make me too emotional, i dont know why, its firts time i feel like this when watch kdrama for almost like 11 years ?

I hate that the superhumans in this series have limits to their powers and even have consequences when they will not use it to help others but those humans who got their powers from them can use the powers without limits/consequences.:'/

Chell Dec 29 2025 10:35 am The series was interesting at the start but then it got a bit boring, but was still creating a sense of curiosity on how the story will progress and how the villain will be beat. Writing was a little childish, but it is a good show I bet to people who have not watched much series in their life. The episodes were predictable otherwise (especially the final episode). 5 or 6/10.

The cast was nice - especially Lee Joon-Ho and Kim Byung-Chul. Lee Joon-Ho does really well to play the hero role, so looking forward to more of his series in similar roles (hopefully in series with better writing too as a hero with super powers).

Kim Byung-Chul plays good characters so well - He has a warm smile and his presence makes it seem like everything will be okay. Looking forward to see him on more shows that portrays one of the good guys.

It is funny seeing Kim Eui-Sung here as a villain when Taxi Driver episode airs during these weekends, he is an incredibly good person, so that was pretty funny xD.

It was also funny seeing Lee Chae-Min and Kang Han-Na here after watching Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.

Spoiler below on final episode:

The final episode was underwhelming - which was very cliched (the whole two fists punching to show being equal in power or the super hero landing pose and the fight scene in general was bland). The people throwing money in support was pretty cool, but it is a pity all the money thrown was not utilized at all since the hero can't absorb every cash lying around apart from going to each one and picking em up. However I do like how the final episode wrapped up though after the final fight - imo it was sufficient.

I didn’t love the storyline, but it’s smart and well paced, and the losing-money plot is anguishing but fun. Overall, it was just what I expected—an okay drama. I’m happy I watched it.

He saved everyone, including her life, and she keeps questioning where the money came from? She should’ve been six feet under, but thanks to him, she’s not. Instead of holding his hand and running from the fire, she’s arguing?

Not to mention, she gets pissed when he touches the “congratulations” money like, biatch! That money would’ve been a pile of ashes anyway. What kind of dumb mentality is that? Writing is annoying, hopefully it gets better with the rest of the episodes.

They had chances to leave the burning church when everyone left but don’t know why they were still there talking about marriage: I was screaming at the TV Go Outside!! where it’s safe first! Made no sense and then of course all hell breaks out after that. Made no sense. Just sloppy writing

RM Dec 26 2025 1:20 pm Also I have to praise the action choreography, they did it soo well and it was creative especially all those fight scenes where sang ung was fighting crowds of henchmen. Also the powers of both eun mi and ho in was shown really well. Gotta praise the efforts for all these. Also cashero has lots of opportunities to make spin offs making it a universe, they can explore many things and stories with this whole superpower concept, for example like based in high-school, university, some kind of revenge plot etc I hope if they make season 2 then they come up with an even better story for sang ung and his team
