Yusuke (Hidetoshi Nishijima) is a stage actor and a stage director. He is married to Fukaku (Reika Kirishima), who works as a playwright. They have a happy marriage, but Fukaku suddenly disappears and leaves behind a secret.

Two years later, Yusuke takes the director job at a theater festival. So he heads to Hiroshima, driving his car. There, he meets his exclusive chauffeur Misaki (Toko Miura), who doesn’t talk much. While spending time with her, Yusuke learns things which he has ignored.

Reason - the car in the movie is an exact match of the SAAB I have owned for 31 years. My car has never been rained on. Only driven on Sunday days here in Wisconsin.

Is there some way I could purchase a copy of the film on DVD? Sure would be wonderful. Please advise. Much appreciated.

Xentros Mar 22 2021 9:05 am Really looking forward to this. While "Asako I&II" was inferior to "Happy Hour", it was still a solid movie and has proven vastly the talent of Hamaguchi as a director. Furthermore, the movie is the adaptation of a short story from Haruki Murakami, which I think fits pretty well with the director's philosophy and narrative.
