Ai (Anna Yamada) is a shy and ordinary high school student with family problems. One day, transfer student Yuu (Yuzu Aoki) appears at the school that Ai attends. Yuu returned to Japan from living abroad and he isn't accustomed to the school's emphasis on collective behavior. Ai becomes interested in him, but Yuu is irritated by her inability to express herself easily. On a school day, a student gets on all fours in the schoolyard and does not move. A teacher and a friend tries to stop him, but the student doesn't budge. As more time passes, other students begin to form a pyramid shape around him. The school even encourages the pyramid structure to the students. This is just the beginning of a mass strange phenomenon that will draw the entire community.
