I thought the title "Ugly" is meant to be the father's blindness state and the mother's ugliness but it was way more than that. The film shows how ugly the world is, how ugly someone can get just because what other people says, it also shows that the father is not just blind physically but also blind for what really matters, he got blinded by thee words of the outsider and forgot what truly is important. To understand that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,so everyone can find beauty and see beauty even if their eyes are not working. But to let people decide what's beautiful for you and convince you that sth/someone is ugly, is complete blindness. The father thought his wife was the bless of his life and the only one who truly cared about him but he killed her only coz he wrongly thought she was ugly and that humiliated him.
