anime_is_life Nov 08 2016 4:17 am I watched this movie a few days ago and cried. It was so emotional and just all around amazing. I was judge my peers when they found out i was watching Japanese and Korean movies, but I couldn't care less. They have never watched one in their life and if i were to make them watch one i would pick this one as it has such a great plot and is so emotional.

Max Sep 14 2015 3:57 pm I truly loved this movie. The character development, the dynamic tension and plot details remain interesting throughout the film. That's unusual in a yaoi manga-based story because there is normally a meaningless slow patch for some ridiculous reason or another. Not so in this movie. Instead, this film tries to engage the viewer emotionally by avoiding the usual trap of a weak uke and overly aggressive seme. Both of the main characters are damaged by life's uncertainty and are looking for a gentle, sustaining love.

Reiner Wilhelms Nov 17 2014 4:44 pm I watched the movie Junjou with English subtitles on youtube. It's a wonderful story, with great acting. I must say that I have almost a crush on Tosaki, and watched the movie quite a few times. It's funny because I'm a so-called "straight" man, raised a family, never into "BL", never into any gay stuff, except that I'm not a homophobe. But somehow this movie and the sweet love story of these two young guys touched my heart deeply. I came across this movie looking for Japanese movies with subtitles to help learning Japanese. Now I wish there was a version with subtitles in Japanese, because even with greatest effords I can not pick up exactly what they say for most of the movie, even though I can pick up a few words and some passages here and there, whereby having the english subtitles is helpful but not good enough, because they are of course not a literal translation. I would be happy to see the entire movie with subtitles, or somehow find a transcript of the original Japanese. It could learn a lot from this.

For my surprise it had the same effect on me like other romantic movies, I was even crying at one moment. I liked it so much that I needed to watch it again and again. I like the characters, the music, the atmosphere of the film. Very well done.

I had to watch it again and again. And I even liked it more. I liked the characters, the scenes, the music theme, the atmosphere of the film. Very well done.
