In October, 2008, 6th grade elementary school students, 3rd grade middle school students and 1st grade high school students are scheduled to take a national achievement test. Prior to taking the test, some teachers sent letters to parents. The letter expressed the teachers' apprehension of the influence of the national achievement test. They also wrote that if the parents did not want their children to take the test, their children could take part in a field study. Later, these teachers receive dismissal letters.
