Plot
One summer weekend, JIN Xiao-bei along with her boyfriend and 3 other young people travel from Beijing to her small hometown along the banks of the Yangtze River. Her high school classmate and ex-lover YU Dong enjoy their visit, feeling even a sort of envy for the way the townspeople live, provoking changes in the classmates.
JIN Xiao-bei isn't getting along with her boyfriend; while YU Dong is messing up with his life and his wife, feeling the visit of JIN Xiao-bei a mixture of happiness and bitterness. An unexpected anonymous note stating "Love you till I die" dramatically makes the relationship of these 6 young people more mysterious and complicated. YU Dong has to go back to his wife as night falls but he thinks of sticking to the promise to pick up his friends the next morning. Unfortunately he can never show up again because of his sudden death…
