Joe Leong Sep 27 2020 3:25 pm Very good film depicting the south Korean view on the Vietnam War. Actual us military personnel portrayed the Americans seen in the film

CWA Nov 11 2018 5:37 am Ahn Sung-Ki is a Legend in South Korean Film History. Though I personally want to criticize the film for going too far away from the novel. Especially the huge difference about Han Kiju's feelings regarding to his writings about Vietnam, I wonder if the author Ahn Jung-hyo knew about this change beforehand. Eventually it's a very disturbing film to watch, especially because the movies' focus lays on the traumatic outcome for Pyeon Chinsu. But still recommended.
