Glenna Tidwell Kyker Nov 15 2019 9:45 am Edith and I sat next to each other in the French horn section in Oklahoma's All-State band in 1957. We also sat next to each other the next year in the Oklahoma City University band and orchestra the next two years. I dropped out a year before she did. About ten years later at Denison [Texas] High School where I was teaching senior English, I asked a Japanese transfer student, Takeo Nemoto, if he knew Edith. Bless his heart, he got even more excited when I told him we were friends in college! He told me many good things about her, how well she did with her talk show - he compared her to Johnny Carson. There's more, but that's it for now. It's good to know she's still doing well in her adopted country.

Joan Straach Mar 13 2011 7:39 pm I knew Edith as a child in Oklahoma City and am concerned for her well being. My father is Arthur Johnson a favorite teacher of hers in high school at Classen High School in OKC. Can you help? Also, how can I help in his disaster time. Thanks, Joan Straach
