Due to a shortage of obstetricians, hospitals are struggling to accommodate deliveries from high-risk pregnant women. Amidst this situation, a maternal and child emergency team is secretly created by the director of a famous luxury hospital in Tokyo. The team's mission is to save pregnant women, free of charge, who have nowhere to go. The team is led by OB-GYN Aki Mitsui (Manami Higa). Despite having hearing loss in one ear, she is a highly skilled professional and obsessed with hearing a baby's first cry more than anything else. She has a bright and cheerful personality and enjoys eating delicious food & alcohol. However, she holds emotional pain related to her own birth.
