Kim Mi-Ra (Choi Ji-Woo) is a working mom and works as a software engineer. One day, her son Jung Dong-Myeong (Ko Dong-Ha) is suddenly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. She is heartbroken by the doctor's words that her son needs insulin injections for the rest of his life. She holds back her tears and gets up to cope with the situation. Due to her son's fear of blood collection, she has difficulty managing his blood sugar. Using her engineering background, she imports a continuous glucose monitor which isn't available in Korea. This makes monitoring his blood sugar easy. As Kim Mi-Ra receives requests from other parents of children with Type 1 diabetes, she imports the continuous glucose monitors by herself and sets up the device for other children, but she is accused of bringing in an unauthorized medical device without customs clearance and without paying taxes.
