A boy in the Philippines, who was born to a Korean father and Filipino mother, dreams of becoming a boxer. The boy travels to South Korea to find his father that abandoned him and he gets involved with unsavoury people.

Oak Aug 25 2023 7:39 pm Pathetic script, they wasted whole cast on a super poor script, like imagine only 10 pc of movie was story and rest 90pc was kim soen ho running after a guy, endless stupid car chases, and nonstop bullet firings. The budget looked big and they wasted such huge budget and great sets and camerawork on a trashy script.

The real true winner here was kim kang woo, like seriously the guy was in another league of unmatched acting, if you want to become an actor in future watch his performance in this film.. he was pure genius as a super brutal, maniacal, cynical, smiling cracking jokes villain. He overshadowed everyone.

One thing i didnt get why chairman needed a son for surgery , they were doing it illegally so they could have found any other donor

Rae is me Aug 21 2023 6:31 pm I honestly don’t think anyone else could’ve played the role of Childe better than Kim Seon Ho. That was outstanding acting and I’m not even afraid to admit that I was drawn to his character throughout the entire movie. He was just so spontaneous and interesting that you were always curious to know what he was going to say or do next. He’s one of those characters where you can’t help but want to watch more of. That’s rare for me as I’m easily bored lol. Anyways. Also, I loved the emotions that Kang Tae-Ju portrayed throughout the movie. It’s amazing how little he spoke but he was able to capture your attention with his expressions and gestures throughout each scene. Someone made a meme of how his whole demeanour in the beginning where he was calm and composed changes to this panicked boy that can’t contain his emotions anymore as he’s being chased by Childe in a car. Too funny. And, you know what, I can’t also forget Kim Kang Woo because he was brilliant as well. Again, you really see two-sides of each character throughout the movie. I love how he was a classic case of a spoilt kid trying to be a boss/leader and Childe just knaws that all away after they meet. Kim Kang Woo did an absolute stellar of a job with his character. The scene where he’s on the couch at the end was unbelievable. I just got a kick out of his interaction with the Childe - the bantering between the two was priceless! Anyways, in case you haven’t figured out what I’m trying to say yet - you need to seriously watch this epic film. You will be entertained.

Park Min Aug 11 2023 4:20 pm A standard action Korean flick, if it weren't for the scarce elevated violence it wouldn't have been as watchable. The writer seems to be slipping a bit too much for what would have been obvious. The main character is a boxer and that's how we were introduced to him but being a boxer didn't play any role into the narrative. There were many other examples of that. More often than not, whenever a character is trying to act "cool" it came across as cheesy since there is a clear lack in world building and character development.

kdrama lover Aug 08 2023 2:25 am 9/10 for me, as a native speaker of tagalog, the words they used are not really suitable for the scene and sound so weird for me. They should've hired a native speaker for the translation of tagalog lines.

The actor who played the boxer acted very well as well.

Highly recommend this movie. No dull moments. The twist of the movie is also surprising so here’s hoping for a sequel. Let’s go for The Childe 2! Kim Seon Ho fighting!!! ???

Kim Seon Ho looks more charming while speaking English and Tagalog, my native language. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why Filipinos love him so much. I really wish he bag an award for his excellent performance. ❤️❤️❤️

I was confused in the first 30 mins, but then mindblown in the end. Well-written, great acting, unpredictable plot and ending, especially Kim Seonho, he really nailed this role.

Ps. Make sure to stay till the after-credit!
