Kim Jea young was excellent . So you g was good too. Both had a very good on screen chemistry. A Mar 13 2026 10:10 pm Excellent drama! I loved everything about it, the plot twist and the killer I never expected. Am I just getting old because I couldn’t identify the killer the whole time, or is this simply a really good drama? Lmao. Definitely recommended! Nik Feb 19 2026 11:47 am With the end of the last episode, this drama leaves a good feeling on my mind :) I did not notice any important plot holes. Maybe some fans of idol groups understood the hints in this drama ;) Reading some comments here, I don't really see that the chemistry between the 2 leads is lacking. Everything is based on how they met combined with the experiences of an idol. I also would say that reducing the eps would have given me the feeling of rushing it, watching this drama was not boring for me. Jillibean Feb 13 2026 5:34 pm The leads had lovely chemistry. Lots of sweet scenes together. Pretty wholesome too overall which probably makes some people complain they have "zero chemistry." LOL! I have news for you: some of the very best Korean dramas ever made didn't have overt intimate scenes. Like the Four Seasons' classic dramas. :) Goddess Feb 13 2026 5:40 am The leads has zero chemistry. Their acting are great but the love between them is just not believable. FL got more chemistry with the prosecutor tha the ML. But i was hooked by storyline n cinematograpy. Kudos to the writer. irish Feb 12 2026 4:18 pm This drama is good especially in the first episode where they showed different kinds of “fans”. However, i don’t see any chemistry between the leads. I feel like the romance between the leads was forced Russell Feb 10 2026 7:55 pm Excellent drama. I was never bored watching it. I enjoyed all the episodes and I loved the ending. Nadia Feb 07 2026 9:03 am I was pumped when I first saw the trailer, but when I watched the drama, it was just okay. I loved the opening episode because it was so relatable. Finale episode is a filler. The series could’ve been shortened to 8 or 10 episodes. Magda USA Feb 05 2026 1:10 pm Oh I meant to say; There’s no AGE limit for women or men to be fans of musicians or actors! As silly as it may be, in this series, she being a top grade defense Attorney, shows her very light hearted human side by being a groupie/fan girl. It’s her escape from her lonely life! It’s cute, silly and fun! Heck! I have a friend who introduced me to Kdrama over 2 years ahí. Who’s a fangirl of PH1 and BTS! And she’s in her 60’s! Her husband gets a kick of seeing her enjoy their music. And now I too love the same groups! Again!!! There’s no age limit to be a Fan! Magda USA Feb 05 2026 1:02 pm Very good series! Excellent plot! Though the ending was good and sweet, I feel it was a bit rushed. Would like to have seen a bit more of commitment. Anyway very good and interesting Plot! Great acting in everyone’s part! The two main characters were great together! She, Sooyoung is such a beautiful, adorable and great actress! He, Kim Jae Young, Wow! Soooo very handsome! Great looking and great actor! Would like seeing them both in more lead roles. All the guys in the band, were so good looking and very good actors! Her tenant, Kim Hyun Jin, is so good looking and a very good and natural actor! Definitely worth watching a second and third time! Excellent! tofu Feb 02 2026 1:01 pm The drama is decent. It could be reduced to 6 episodes or a movie like the comments says. The lawyer if being a student or like in early 20s would have been better to show the obsession of fangirl because in real life I don't think people having successful career be this obsessed with stars. Few cringy scenes but acceptable. Mystery is of next level, it made me curious and guessing who the killer maybe. The only thing I cant bare to see is last few minutes of episode 11.The writer has done a sloppy work. The dialogues are just there to fill the time. It could have been better when confronting the criminal in jail Jillibean Feb 01 2026 9:15 pm I enjoyed the acting of both leads in this drama, and the writing was pretty decent, with touches of ironic humor throughout, even during dramatic scenes. I liked that they kept us guessing who the murderer could be until closer to the end. Love SooYoung, especially, she was so great in Fan Letter, Please. Lili Jan 31 2026 3:04 pm Yeah I am watching. Pretty good. There is just 1 big flaw. She was iintoduced as 1 smart intelligent lawyer for victims. Had I seen a smart intelligent lawyer? Big NO. She can not even win a normal conversation. She never had the last laugh. Why? She is busy nurturing her childood pains. Busy developing her feelings and heavy fangirling. Still in ep 8, sure they will win in the end with abpredictable way. Yuri Hanah Jan 29 2026 2:55 pm It was surprisingly pleasant feel-good, comforting drama despite the heavy themes in the first few episodes. Acting - 10/10 Music - 9/10 Characters - 9/10 Story - Murder plot gets a 6/10, but character storylines gets a 9/10. Romance - if you love subtle romance, not too much skinship, more heartfelt conversations with a rewarding payoff, definitely 10/10. The romance didn't follow annoying tropes like spending too much time on a love triangle, or unnecessary breakup angst, and didn't get boring even after the leads get together. If you want heavy, passionate romance throughout, this drama cannot deliver. But their eventual kiss scenes were passionate enough, so it's satisfying. I'd recommend this drama to be bingewatched, so you don't waste time theorizing about who the killer might be and their motives or how the murder ended up. It might be underwhelming if you spent a lot of time theorizing and the reveal comes off like the motive makes sense but also doesn't logically because of the clues given earlier in the story. This drama was a revelation to me for Choi Sooyoung and Kim Jaeyeong! Unexpected but fantastic chemistry! Ish Jan 29 2026 2:55 am The male lead actor's performance is so bad that I couldn't continue after episode 8. It was too much for me. I give up. dksyeochin Jan 28 2026 2:09 pm What to tell? I just loved this drama with everything in it. It made me cry hard in many parts of it, but fortunately it was a romcom so that I laughed and got butterflies as well while watching this. Wonderpet Jan 28 2026 6:32 am Danggg i stop at 44 minutes (ep 11). Can't push myself anymore. Every character in the story can be a villain or a victim with different POV which isn't good as thats not the intention of the drama lol. Sushi87 Jan 28 2026 2:02 am This was nicely done and had all the elements and reminded me why I like kdramas. Jae Young is so talented and glad they made him sing at the end and clips of Woo Seong singing. Very nice touch. Like Jan 27 2026 7:43 pm I enjoyed this drama personally. It was light and healing which was great imo. It gave me a good reason to look forward to the start of the week. Many think theres no chemistry between the leads but I find both actors did really well to portray their characters and the awkwardness (oesaegham) between them that's absolutely necessary. The situation their in, both emotionally wounded, the lawyer-client relationship with hidden idol-fan relationship. How else could they be? Also, i think the drama portrayed a healthy fan love. Although it took time for their relationship to bloom, I think it all make sense to me. The love for an idol and the love for one's lover are different. If Raik had not save Sena in the past, Sena probably would not start fangirling. For some other reasons that she pulled through her hardest time, she might really be a workaholic lawyer, keeping strict relationship with her clients. If Sena was a normal lawyer fangirl, who openly share that she is a fan of Raik to him, would Raik fall in love with her? Not really? I think the writer pretty much reasoned it nicely why these two people in separates worlds could come to love each other, very well. I had a great month following the drama till the end. Thanks and cheers to the entire drama team! cheryl Jan 27 2026 6:33 pm I loved this drama. It captured my attention right away and I enjoyed the mystery aspect to the show because up until the reveal, I could not figure out who the culprit was. I also liked the back story of the two main leads. It had a good pace to me (though some thought it was boring, I enjoyed every episode) I also liked the ending, it wrapped up nicely. Hamidah Ashari Jan 27 2026 4:50 am This drama is underrated Sajangnim Jan 26 2026 10:03 pm Tbh this drama can be compressed to 6ep or maybe a movie, they dragged it too long! kk Jan 21 2026 10:21 pm ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I just finished episode 10 of Idol, and my heart is still beating so fast T_T ❤️ Kim Jae Young’s acting really makes me nervous, shy, and happy at the same time. Even though he is older than Seo Yeong, in this drama he looks so young and very charming. His face, smile, and expressions are so attractive, honestly, he shines so much in this role. The kiss scene at the villa was so sweet and natural. Seo Yeong’s shy and nervous acting feels very real, and Kim Jae Young’s calm charm makes the scene perfect. Thank you so much to the director and team for choosing Kim Jae Young for this role. He is truly amazing in romance dramas. Please give him more main roles in romance dramas again. Please ❤️… I will definitely watch. Thank you and great job ❤️ Püren Jan 21 2026 3:54 pm I think rather than forcing the non-existing chemistry between two leads, if they just focus on the murder mystery and working as a team, maybe this would work better? Also if they made the female lead a bit younger, like maybe a law student, rather than a grown up person. Then this confused but obsessive child like fandom would make more sense. Like the scenes that suppose to make people feel butterfly, I just skip them. I like most of Sooyoung’s previous works. I think she is capable of creating chemistry on the screen in her other works (even as a side character in Run On and as the female lead in Not Others). But in those works, the main theme was not romance. Here it is half romance and half crime mystery and the romance part doesn’t fly at all. She has more chemistry with the side male character. This grown up fan person character doesn’t work at all. People can be fan of idols when they are grown up. They can feel in their comfort zone when watching them, finding them attractive and sexy but she lives this experience as if she is still a teenager. If they approach from that aspect - as if she stuck in her teenage mentality due to the trauma she had, that would still make sense. But the series treats it as a totally normal thing which makes everything more awkward. In old kdramas before 2020 or 2010, this style was working because in general the female lead would be more naive as well (naive but hard working stereotype). But now naturally with evolving society and the place of women in that society, especially societies like the one in Korea, now they want to show a more progressive women character which is good. But then keeping the other cliches doesn’t fit well. —— spoiler——- Especially after hearing your long celebrity crush telling you that they like you, you being scared to see them in the morning doesn’t make sense. I mean why. Of course she can be frigid or asexual/aromantic etc. But there is no such context either. How such information does not increase the libido (not just sexual but also as a life drive) in a grown up and make them confused and scared almost? it doesn’t make sense. If it is a teenager or even someone in 20s, that would make sense. Because then you are not sure about your feelings, it is difficult to understand other’s feelings, it can feel scary. But in your 30s, after having a successful career and all, if you are still insecure about your feelings for someone who you have been liking even before they were a celebrity, there are some serious psychological issues - can be hidden autism, can be the effect of traumatic experiences or some sexual orientation ambiguities. So I cannot help but read every romance scene from this perspective unfortunately. Hence rather than feeling the butterflies as the writers expect the audience to feel, I feel tense to expect when they touch upon this grown up person’s inability to experience their libido freely. If there is a hint somewhere about how she doesn’t trust his feelings due to the difficult situation he is in - maybe he is feeling gratitude rather than love and mistakes that with love… she may doubt that and that would give such hesitation a much better context but there is no such issue mentioned either. So this can be a lot more fun. I think the story is interesting. It is a chance that is missed in my opinion. Started nicely but ended up just draggy and dull. Harmya Jan 21 2026 2:07 am What? Chemistry? There was ZERO between the 2 mean leads... Yuri Hanah Jan 20 2026 4:44 am I came in with low expectations, just because I didn't have anything else to watch and I love Girls' Generation's Sooyoung and recognize Kim Jae-young from Judge from Hell, but man this show blew me away with the first episode? Wasn't expecting it to tackle idol issues in such a raw way. There have been dramas with idols before, and the dark side was shown too, but Idol I seems to have taken it up a notch by showing various sides of fandom behavior. Even the FL who has been pretty healthy in terms of loving her idol from afar, had some unhealthy aspects of her love in the past when she broke down for 3 days after reading about a dating rumor. The murder mystery is still very intriguing even after 9 eps, still can't tell who could be the culprit. I have guesses but no REAL hard guess. And the part of the drama I didn't expect to love, is the romance. in the first few episodes, I thought, even if they didn't develop into a romantic relationship, keep their healthy idol-fan relationship would still be good, and maybe develop platonically, could still be a good message. But the amount of healing and comfort these two give each other in such a personal way, and how the ML went from depressed to smiling once he had one person he could trust, and being an absolute puppy around the FL, completely different from his terrible personality in the first few episodes, it was hard not to root for the romance after that. Love looks good on him! I also love how sincere FL's fan love for him is, and when she eventually let go of his idol image, only helping him because he was a human who just needed someone, it was even better. Her sort of giving him the king (and princess) treatment has never once looked pathetic, and I'm glad the ML shows how grateful he is to have her as his fan in the past, and his lawyer now. 3 episodes left, I hope the writers don't mess up the last few episodes when everything has been great so far! rusty greaves Jan 17 2026 11:28 pm well made but found it too drawn out hence I skip through the corny stuff....I get sick of the male lead doing stupid stuff that in real life would not happen ....anyway maybe 6 episodes would have worked better... kk Jan 16 2026 6:00 am ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ After a long time not watching K-dramas because of busy work, I finally watched Idol on Thursday night. I chose it because I saw So Young on the poster. I didn’t expect much, but I ended up watching 3 episodes before sleeping. Now I’m already on episode 8, and I really enjoy it. I usually don’t like dramas with heavy conflict, but this one feels calm and easy to watch. The story feels real and close to daily life. I’m also happy to see Kim Jae Young again after a long time. For me, this is a 5-star drama so far. Please give us a happy ending, and thank you to all the cast and crew, stay healthy ! Yuyu Jan 15 2026 12:39 pm Agreed with warm n cozy. Not too grand but very thoughtfully written and all the cast acting is on par. Love Sooyoung and Jae-young and the chemistry between them is there no matter what anyone says. Love watching this drama! Warm n Cozy Jan 15 2026 10:14 am This is a thoughtfully written plot. Not too grand but just the kind of drama you can get yourself lost in ,vacation and then come back to your daily routine. Everyone one is doing a very good job and Sooyoung never let's you down. Just completed ep 8 and quite sad it is going to end soon. Thanks to the team and writer for bringing this piece of work to live. Ellen Jan 15 2026 12:19 am I don’t know why this drama is getting rated so low. There’s not much out there atm and this is the best one going, notably for the fantastic cast, leads, supporters and seniors. There’s plot is interesting, full of tropes but also twists and little angles into the fandom world and viscous entertainment world. Very well done, good job. Kdrama lover Jan 13 2026 6:35 pm Am I the only one not feeling the chemistry and romance between the leads? I cringe at their lovey dovey scenes. I prefer Do La-ik with his ex girlfriend and Maeng Se-Na with the prosecutor. I wished the second lead actors were the leads. I like the mystery though and the only reason I am still watching and there are only 4 more episodes to endure.. Ipil Jan 13 2026 1:29 am As the lead character, Sooyoung falls short in her acting performance. She struggles to fully portray the role, which affects the overall impact of the character. The production would have benefited from casting a stronger actress who better suits the demands of the role. MrKDrama Jan 11 2026 2:11 pm I'm expecting more from this drama because of the ML and his role in Judge From Hell, which I liked very much, but I'm kinda disappointed. It's getting boring, and there's a lack of chemistry between the leads. I'm finding it hard to force myself to watch this drama. I'm actually rooting more for the ML and his ex. I hope the story gets more interesting. Hyejoo Jan 07 2026 8:24 am Hi hi! Does anyone know if this drama is based on a webtoon/manhwa? I feel like it probably is but i cant really find any haha. The wordplay in the title, FL, and ML's name is soooo funny and genius at the same time haha. Idol I= 아이돌아이 = ah i torai= ah this crazy one/weirdo (like "aigooo this crazy guy", that kind of tone). Do Raik = 도라익 = laik= like // or doraik= crazy/weirdo (2 wordplays here: his name can sound "Like" but! If you add the surname, it could be translated as "crazy/weird). Maeng Sena = 맹세나 = i swear / “maengse/맹세“ means an oath (very fitting for her lawyer character). This is so cool haha Sgb Jan 06 2026 4:08 pm Since I have been watching Kdramas; one thing I realized a lot of their fans are toxic as if these celebrities are not human. Dee Jan 06 2026 3:52 pm It's really nice can't wait to watch the other episodes just finished watching ep6 Hong hye joo is getting on my nerves she shld let laik live in peace Temmie Jan 06 2026 3:03 pm Just started ep 5 and saw Hye Joo's father and I just feel like I know where this is going. Maybe Hye Joo's father set the whole thing up and he did set Se Na's father up too with the help of prosecutor Kwak's father. And I don't like when 2nd FL is prettier than main FL... Lalgarmirvch Jan 06 2026 10:29 am Why is this so boring? Excellent concept, considering the stalker fans and cancel culture in South Korea. No chemistry between the ML and FL. Acting is so wooden - like they are just reading their scripts. Also - this thing of dcreaming and shouting women in KDramas needs to stop! Very off putting and annoying. So disappointed. Ria Jan 05 2026 9:06 pm I think an adult obsessing over an idol isn't strange at all. many kpopers 2nd generation era already have family and stable job but still support their idol. maybe they are not visible because at the daytime they just like another workers. personally, I am a medical doctor, but I still support shinee (my bias since adoles my teens). maeng sena becomes die hard fan also reasonable. she support gold boys because they are being there in her difficult times. many kpopers finding an escape and relief from exhaustion through fangirling. in my opinion, the plot is solid from the start. Korean and global netizen should give this a try. This is a typical healing drama. Not only relatable to fangirl, but also people who struggle with life and always hiding their true self Oeguksaram Kdrama fan Jan 01 2026 10:34 am As a non-Korean that has fallen in love with Korean TV series and watched Alot I think this one is really good. The typical Korean cinematic features are there ie flashbacks and back story but the tie ins to the current storyline are smoother. Character development of ML is amazing in emotional range. FL is believable that she is a strong professional female and yet had to erase her personal passions to be taken seriously. I am surprised that yhe viewership data does not reflect how good this is. Im hoping Netflix numbers will improve its popularity as it is obvious that alot of effort was put into the storyline, character development and production. Lucy Dec 30 2025 11:13 pm Wow! There have been bad dramas lately, but this one I am loving it! ? LaMarie Dec 30 2025 3:10 pm I’m only watching this because I’m a fan of the male lead. The plot is interesting, though some elements feel unrealistic. Yes, it’s a drama, but an adult obsessing over an idol comes across as sad and strange. That said, the show does an important job of highlighting issues such as stress, invasions of privacy, the way labels and companies treat artists, and the dynamics within idol groups—topics we need to see more often. All that glitters isn’t gold. Idols are human beings, and they should be able to date without fans reacting as if they own them. Linda Flynt Dec 30 2025 3:07 pm This is one of the best shows I have watched! I enjoy an alluring mystery plus excellent acting cast; that is a recipe for a hit! Cutie1601 Dec 30 2025 2:47 pm I don’t know why this drama is not yet making a buzz... the story is soo good and the casts are great! I realized how good Kim Jaeyong was as an actor at the last part of episode 2. The pain of losing someone and getting blamed for it - grief, pain, confusion, and a roller coaster of emotions. Like wow. He really brought the character to life. Plus he can sing?! Bonus point orange Dec 30 2025 2:33 pm Done ep 4. Looking forward to next episodes! I wish they could drop the episodes so i can watch in one seating. Nana12xx Dec 30 2025 1:37 pm I really love this drama. It feels light and easy to watch, but there’s also a hint of mystery that keeps it interesting. I like that Kim Jae-young is trying a new kind of role, and Sooyoung’s acting is really good here. The romance isn’t instant love, but the chemistry is slowly building and you can definitely feel it. The storyline is engaging and makes me want to keep watching. It’s not draggy at all — good job to the writer and the actors. Can’t wait for the next episode! Ilovekdram Dec 30 2025 10:44 am I love sooyoung from run on , not others and from girls generation Her acting is genuinely good but in this drama something is off ! Both ML AND FL feels like they are forced to act . Plot is good but something is off ? can’t point my finger but being an avid fan of kdramas something is off Ohnmar Dec 30 2025 12:20 am Love this drama. ML and FL are really cool. Can’t wait to see next episode. Bimini Dec 29 2025 6:43 pm On my 3rd Netflix episode, and wishing I could binge watch this. Really good! justme Dec 29 2025 5:09 pm @Positive life giving attention to someone like her/him is just waste of time, they might be the type of person who likes attention, attention seeker. and do whatever to get it, whether it's through good thing or bad. rose` Dec 28 2025 7:00 pm the story is really good Mel sae Yang Dec 26 2025 2:11 pm Cant wait for next episode.. im already obsessed! Please release all episode. I really like the actor n actress ❤️ HOH Dec 26 2025 1:05 am he looks way too old for this role , why would he play this kind of role again ?? other actor would nailed it em Dec 26 2025 12:58 am ts kdrama is so hard to watch .. the romance between the ml and fl feels unnecessary , much better if the genre was non romance and more to mystery or crime Sunshiny Dec 24 2025 11:19 pm The story is promising I love the fact that she is not just a fan who waste her life and miracle meet her idol She is a lawyer meeting her idol as an accused for a murder story make sense I love the fact that she is not mixing her personal life with her pro life and enjoy her idol privately without showing off her love for hi. At work The lead actors are so good together a lot to be revealed about both the idol and the fan Looking forward for the upcoming episodes ? MrKDrama Dec 24 2025 3:20 am Before, it was a judge, now a lawyer. hhmmmm I'm sensing a pattern here. iz Dec 23 2025 11:34 am Omg only 2 episodes out and I'm already obsessed!!!
