Eun-Soo (Jeon So-Nee) works sales at a luxury goods retailer in a department store. She has been living with a trauma since she was little. Her friend Hee-Soo (Lee Yoo-Mi) lives with similar pain from her own past experience. Hee-Soo was once a promising children's book writer, but not anymore. She lives a hellish life because of her violent husband Jin-Pyo (Jang Seung-Jo). Hee-Soo struggles to escape from her husband's violence. One day, Eun-Soo makes the decision to save her friend Hee-Soo by killing Jin-Pyo. The two women set a plan to end his life. Meanwhile, Jin So-Baek (Lee Mu-Saeng) is the CEO of Jingang Firm. He notices their plan and helps them as a strong supporter.

JP Dec 23 2025 9:22 am Hui-Su's character is so unbelievably timid and quite frankly stupid. Every sound she hears, she trembles and cries. She trips on her own and lies on the floor, crying and shaking. Doesn't call for help when threatened by Jin Young, it goes on and on. Why did they write her like that? Also, she said several times she was going to take care of the situation, how did she plan on doing that when she had no inner resources to take care of herself? The writers could have done better with her character, or maybe it's her acting.

Bagu Dec 11 2025 5:08 pm Loved this one! After WLGYT, it's my favorite of the year so far. It has themes that touch all women, and they were perfectly explored. The acting was excellent, and the plot wasn’t predictable, with a very original approach to domestic violence. I loved how human and imperfect the characters were, especially Eun Su. And the chemistry between Eun Su and So Beak was insane — I was expecting something to happen every time they were together on screen. Hands up to Lee Yoo Mi and Jang Seung Jo; their acting felt so real. Jin Pyo and his family were so hateful that I wanted to deal with them myself every time they appeared on screen. It’s sad to see how similar most of the characters’ behavior was to real people dealing with domestic violence, which explains why it continues at such high levels. Overall, this show is amazing and not at all predictable or boring. Even the ending was excellent — it felt like everything was resolved, with everyone paying for their actions and moving on with their lives. This show was great, and once I finished it, I felt like there was nothing else left to watch. I hope to see more shows like this. And I hope Jeon So Nee gets lots of new projects, as she’s one of my favorite actresses right now.

Mariz Nov 24 2025 4:25 am Just finished this in one day. Amazing plot, casts, and acting. I was really hooked with the story and the casts' acting, I felt like I was also part of each episodes. I love how responsible JSB was from the very beginning up to the last episode. He initiated the idea to JES to commit the "perfect" crime but that obviously failed, however, he still assisted the two until the end. And he somehow became a friend as well. There's something between JSB and JES that draws me in, definitely needed some romance between the two.

But anyways, the show is a great awareness of domestic violence, showcasing how different the perspective is, both for victims and abusers. It also gave us idea on how to approach someone who is being abused. And I hope this could be an eye-opener for everyone that violence is never the answer. And I hope this can also give us the courage to fight; to be stronger, to face our fears, to help, to reach out, and to speak up. Remember, it's not your fault.

Only at ep 2 and I want to climb into the TV to slap the female cop (who happens to the abuser’s sister). If the stats are accurate, then that’s a real big problem in S Korea’s mentally unhealthy, terribly misogynistic society.

I was patiently hoping for some romance scene between Jin so baek and Jo Eun-su but the director didn't give us anything. Man those looks and stare of So baek to Eun su tells everything! I want them them in romantic drama with similar to their role in this juseyooooo!

Nadia Nov 10 2025 9:31 am It's an amazing drama. Some scenes were hard to watch, and I was on the edge of my seat for most of it. The fact that Jin Pyo's mother and sister knew that Hui Su was being abused and do nothing about it made me feel sick. I had high hopes when I first found out that the sister was a police officer, but I was wrong. Jin So Baek is really their guardian angel. The girl would have got into a lot of trouble without his help. This drama also marks the first time I have watched Jeon Seo-kyeong act. I will check out her future projects. Jang Seung Jo should play more roles like this. Standout performance!

No friends, no help, no one ready to protect them.
