A woman's (Han Ji-Min) past as a convict follows her everywhere and, because of this, she doesn't open up to others. The woman meets a girl and decides to save her from the cruel world. A man (Lee Hee-Jun), who holds feelings for the woman, tries to protect her in his own way.

Monette Jul 07 2022 10:17 am Another masterpiece and a heart melting movie from han ji min with lee hee joon, a very good actor which I also look up to.

I was looking for a movie / series with mr. Lee hee joon since i became a fan after i have seen him in "mouse" series... I did not know that miss han ji min is one of the main character here.

From the start that they met (miss baek and the kid) I have started crying until the finish. I just felt sad on the end maybe because i was waiting that the kid will call miss baek "mom".

But everything, i am so happy.

wntrina Jan 09 2022 7:44 pm @aisyah mother kdrama is an adaptation from a japanese series so I think that's why the drama itself doesn't win awards. While Miss Baek is a film, the cinematography and directing feels a little better than the drama. Of course, you can't expect a full-packed scene in a film since it's only 1 hour and a half. They only highlighted the abuse, and the emotional rollercoaster we felt from Miss Baek. The woman and the kid relate and bond as they go through the same trauma. It's an open ending so I can just deem Miss Baek living together w the kid, maybe not becoming her mom though. Imagine going through the same sh!t she did..being abused, raped..I don't think she would want to marry

Steph May 06 2019 1:31 pm It reminds me of Mother very much as it has the same stoy but with the different background story for the main lead. Baek Sang Ah is a really tough one. I love it. Han Ji Min killed the role and ever since I watched this film, I started following and watching HJM's dramas. She really deserves that award!
