When a man wakes up, he doesn’t remember anything about himself or even his name. At that time, he receives a message and the other person tells him "Your name is Carter (Joo Won)." He is then enlisted in an importation operation without knowing the reason why.

Kaito Jul 08 2024 3:14 am This movie was meh, interesting camera work but i personally don't like this style for action. I see why they used it though. Just like with multiple fast cuts used in some action films, this style of erratic movement of camera seems to have been used to hide bad fight choreo. In the yakuza public bath fight, it's so hilariously obvious that the opponents are waiting for their turn, stabbing air, pretending to miss. If they used a steadier cam, it would look much more obvious so they hid it with erratic camera zooms and tracking. Joo Won's acting is this movie's only saving grace. The plot is messy and confusing, the dialogue—especially the english lines—is cringe, the fight scenes look simulated like they're obviously choreographed with opponents waiting for their turns, the American actors are wasted with bad characterization and bad writing. I know Camilla Belle and Mike Colter are great in other projects but they're kinda bad here because their lines are cringe. Maybe it's good to watch one time to learn how to make a messy plot, how not to do action, how not to write english dialogues, or how not to do a (fake) one-take technique, I guess.

min May 18 2023 7:48 pm Actually an interesting movie to watch, but the mass killing scene is way to unrealistic, in a way that I cannot tolerate even if it for fiction.

I cannot agree more with everyone regarding the camera work, it soooo painful to watch, I only able to survive for 15 min. The camera work maybe suitable for PC gamers, but it cannot be acceptable for drama lovers who like to watch quietly.

Mings Feb 23 2023 11:10 am I watch this movie because I'm a fan of Joo Won. I dont put any expectation on the storyline because I want to watch Joo Won. The moment Joo Won knew he is Carter, my expectation grew up and I just can't wait to watch till the end.

But, the action scene is too much and it just doesnt make sense (referring to plane scene). Can you imagine all this action moves happen in one day? I just fastforward the whole movie to know the character and the real memory of Carter.

Of course a movie is not the reality, but we need logic. But before that, shout out to my fav actor. Joo Won's acting is good and his physical is totally perfect for this role.

Conclusion: I won't rewatch this movie. Such a waste of time. Director-nim and writer-nim, do better for your next project.

Tats Jan 09 2023 11:05 pm It's been 40 minutes into the movie and I can't watch it anymore. The camera's movement was exaggerated to the point it makes me dizzy. Too much action and too little story, The vibes were off and overall just confusing. Thanks for the booty shots tho.

night_wng Oct 13 2022 1:01 am I’d compare this with Arnold’s Commando flick. Not only does the hero kill everyone, but he never gets more than a minor scratch. Throw in the fact, that every law of physics is absolutely ignored, and it becomes 1/2 as believable as Arnold’s. The only enjoyable parts, are the pacing & the action scenes. Even being unbelievable, they do things I haven’t seen b4, which is refreshing.

Carter is amazing This is a masterpiece. nothing bad about it, just a little short. definitely a different movie, but the way its looks is perfect to me. i need to watching some more like this. Fav part: Joo Won scene in helicopter For a first appearance of Joo Won on Netflix, this has been very solid.

To keep it short, it’s a movie with too low a budget for the type of direction the director took it. Superb choreo though.

If you’re okay with the camerawork, then it’s a solid movie. Nothing special, but a solid movie. You’ll know within the first 10-15 minutes or so whether you’ll end up with a migraine by the end of the movie or not

The camera and video production is horrible. The effect the producer is trying to create does not work. In fact, this movie should be taught in school so no one will recreate it.

This movie has one of the worst obvious editions I have seen recently when it comes to continous action sequences. (famous panning)

Did the post production editing was rushed?

Really a complete waste of two hours. There are just a few action sequences that are atleast passable and well made, but are really few not even the cliche weak plot adds something interesting to uphold what the movie lacks, which does lacks from both aspects honestly mindless purporless movie. Wow.
