Miyabi Okitama (Tatsuya Fujiwara) is the director of Zenryoiki Ijou Kaiketsu Shitsu (known as Zenketsu). The company is the oldest investigation agency that tries to solve mysterious cases. Miyabi Okitama exudes an elegant aura and he possesses extraordinary knowledge, memory, and insight. With his abilities, he solves inexplicable abnormal cases that can’t be solved by even cutting-edge scientific investigations. His cases often involve the paranormal and the occult. He visits the scene and investigates in detail, putting all the facts together and deducing a hypothesis that everyone can understand. The words that he speaks are mysterious and he is a person who doesn't show people what he is in his mind.

Detective Dee Apr 26 2025 9:30 am Great show but did anyone else freeze the screen when it has flashes? In episode 1 to see hidden images like in Fight Club? I caught two, the first that says Hiruko at around 2:33 and another that says Shadowman at around 22:01 - I guess there will be more as the show goes on - just I thought it was cool. Stream on Netflix.

The only trouble I have with this series was the Japanese gods' names are a bit difficult to remember, since they are pretty long. :D

aenean Jan 10 2025 9:35 pm It's not really what I expected when I watched the first episode, but I still love it! I love the OST, the acting's nice, and most importantly, I love how the mythology of the gods are portrayed in this film. Not to mention the tear-jerking scenes of the god-and-human relationship.

After reaching the final episode, I really hope the production team would push a second season of AARO soon. Please don't leave us hanging..

James Nov 23 2024 3:14 pm Me & my girlfriend have been watching this drama on Netflicks UK every week & have been loving the story twists & turns through out the episodes & cannot wait for the next weeks episode & wonderful performances that go with it :D

mike Nov 16 2024 10:08 am Thought it was really drama involve police n real paranormal like in anime.

Ep01 was quite interesting then ep2,3 was quite disappointing with the way they try to explain and linked the plot.

Ep4 ending pull me back and interested to see which route they go with EP05 but if they continue with the shenanigans of paranormal explained by science murder this will be a forgettable drama.
