Toshiki Kato (Ryohei Suzuki) and his younger sister Fumiko Kato (Kasumi Arimura) live together in Osaka, Japan. Since they lost their parents at an early age, Toshiki Kato has raised his younger sister Fumiko Kato. He has kept his promise to his late father, which was to always protect his younger sister no matter what. He also cares about Fumiko Kato a lot. With Fumiko Kato deciding to get married, Toshiki Kato should finally be able to take a load off his shoulders, but Fumiko Kato has a secret that she hasn’t told her brother.
Notes
- Based on short story collection novel "Hana Manma" by Minato Shukawa (published April, 2005 by Bungeishunju). The novel won the 133rd Naoki Prize in 2005.
- While the original novel centered around the childhoods of Toshiki Kato and Fumiko Kato, the movie adaptation will show the two characters as adults.
