Story is set in the present day and the year 2037. An alien comes to Earth. The alien believes human's emotion should be controlled or they will have no future. The alien becomes involved with humans.

To think I have been watching him since 2005's Sad Movie when he was just a small lad. How time flies! If you like sci fi stories then definitely check it out. Go with the flow, you will understand the story fully by the end if you pay close attention.

What is the point of this... and how can the smart Earth continue without the human system B.. and what is the significance of the end with the appearance of light... the end could have been smarter than that... Ciepao Oct 16 2023 7:11 am First of all, I did not expect this drama to have a 5+ rating with almost everyone; maybe I'm the only one who did not like this much.

Okay, let's start my review now. I am a fan of sci-fi thriller dramas, but I just don't feel this one. On the 4th-ish episode, I already knew who could be the chairman of the smart earth (maybe because I already watched a lot of thriller dramas), and yes, there are a lot of plot twists, but some of them are meh. And the primary topic of this drama, whether aliens are real or not, is not even answered. I really did not feel anything about this drama. Not even curiosity, chemistry, sadness, or anything. That's why this is the most unsatisfying drama for me.

12 episodes are enough to solve the thriller in this show, but the main topic that involves sci-fi is whether aliens are real or not? Those 12 episodes are too short. The actors and actresses are big time and delivered really well in this show, but the story is not it. Hence, 4/10 for me.

The story is so real and made me so tense these moments made me laugh and feel relieved! Thank you writers! Park Min Young as a doctor ?. I think the character was really the girlfriend of the older brother from the past. (?)

hihihello May 13 2022 11:39 am The story is deeper than how it portrays. Even though it seems like a fun and exciting action and sci-fi drama, but it is very heartwarming and delivers a very important message about family and self.

I watched Beyond Evil and was amazed with Yeo Jin Goo's acting, and he totally nailed his role here too. Would love to see him in more thriller dramas. And Kim Kang Woo, never disappoints as well.

Great drama. 8/10.

Yes there should've been more explaining to some situations but leaving that aside the script is geniuosly written combining the scientific elements to it. The CGI didn't do justice to the story. Now talk about the cast and their acting, they did exactly what it was needed to show the scenes, no more, no less. I highly recommend it to anyone reading my comment if still thinking whether to watch it or not.

Hello Dec 25 2020 12:30 pm I Can't see "the two world" connected, to me it's just a past part and the future part, and the people from past & future never meet. So Never Thought It's Title Related To "Time Travel Things" Even The Year Are Different. Yet, I recommend this drama to watch at free time.

Masterful storytelling combining a number familiar sci-fi elements that is also a fantastic suspenseful crime thriller.

It's definitely one of my favourites.

I don't understand why this drama only has 12 episodes. Why the ending like that? i know woojin and jeongyeon like each other :( the ending is so ambiguous

And what is the purpose of her arriving.. I keep thinking what happened to her in the ending.. Its like shes been reset or reprogram or something..

Marjo Ilogon Apr 01 2020 11:18 pm I was just going through Gong Seung-yeon unni's dramas, and I gave this a try. I had no high expectations for it. But by the time I was watching it already, I got hooked. The storyline is amazing. The characters portrayed by all the actors were great. I cried most in the scene where Joon Hyeok and Woo Jin cried together. Every episode was like a movie. It's just a shame that this wasn't promoted well. It's super underrated. This definitely should have been nominated and won awards, but it was overlooked. Season 2 also would be nice for this with the same actors portraying the characters, and then with additional characters. I still have questions about Byul, her purpose of arriving, Min Young and Joon Hyeok's love story, and what happens to Smart City. But overall, this gets a 10 from me. Highly Recommended ?

The whole casts have good acting skills. I highly recommend it especially to those who love suspense or thriller drama.

Esther Feb 17 2020 1:45 am Amazing how this drama feels like there are two main characters! Kim Woo Jin from 2017 and Kim Joon Hyuk from 2037, and they made each part so interesting. At first, I was confused about 2037 and how there was some separate earth but when it became so cool when I figured out what was happening. What amazes me is how 2037 gives a clue of what you’ll see in 2017 for the next episode, yet I still panicked when I was watching the events in 2017. Brilliant drama!

Great acting and performance skills given by all artist, and wonderfully directed by production crew, PD, screen writers, dialogue, cast and crew. I felt satisfied watching this drama. I feel not necessary for Season 2. It's nice as it is. As we can't predict the future.

beby Dec 25 2019 11:09 am firstly, i would like to thank the writer and director for casting an amazing drama. honestly at first, the story plot was a little confusing, but it was thrilling at the same time. i personally kept wanting to know more about what’s happening next, so i rushed the drama and ended up finishing it by 2 nights, i practically sacrificed my sleeping schedule just for this drama. on the other hand, it was absolutely amazing. it’s kind of a sad story but it was educational. it might be weird because 2037 has yet to come, and it made me wonder how 2037 is really going to turn up. overall, i enjoyed myself watching this drama, it wasn’t a cliche romance drama or an action drama, it’s a lesson learnt drama; one should never be too greedy and neglect it’s conscience as a human.

This drama really is one of a kind, amazing plot, directing, acting everything is just perfect. It's been more than 2 years since I first watch it but still this is one of the best drama that I ever watched along with sherlock bbc, new amsterdam, and tenno no ryoriban.

Its really is a masterpiece 10/10.

this drama is amazing!!! the storyline was awesome, the actors & actress did a good job in acting out their roll and there were so many unexpected plot twist!! At the end of each episodes it got me screaming " WHY DID IT ENDED SO FAST?? WHAT WOULD HAPPEN NEXT?? " the whole drama was intense and interesting from the first episode till the last.

tbh this drama is so underrated!! the plots and acting were better than most of the highly rated dramas and i think more people should discover & watch it. trust me you won't regret it.

i really think that the story was well written & the ending was really nice. really hope that there would be season 2!!!

tsuyoi_hikari May 17 2018 3:11 am 9.5/10 - Compelling, fascinating and brilliant from start to finish. Really rare for you to find dramas which has like twists in each episode. I ended each part with 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO' so many times lol.

I love the fact that the writers are very creative in coming up with this complex story that made you question about everything only to be proven wrong episodes later. The writers also love to tease/mislead the audiences with the way they structure the plots.

Simply the most compelling Kdramas I have ever watch and no doubt in my book as one of the greatest Kdramas ever made.

This drama poses some philosophical existential questions: was there was an alien intervention in human evolution, do they live among us, what is the role of technology, what is actually a human being, is a clone with memories same person as the the prototype, is there or should be an ethical code for scientists. Through the drama there are some answers to these questions that the plots of the drama takes them as absolute, whereas we actually don't know with certainty (yet). There is one contradiction between the "unethical" behaviour of the neuroscientist who creates clones, but the creation, the clone was accepted in the end as good. About the reactions it is shown that many people don't think deep on these questions which concern our future as species. This is disappointing, I hope there will be more awakening and less passive viewers.

dont read if u havnt watched it yet Anyway ill share my sadness about the last ep, it was sad how the real brother died and a clone appeared, i do accept him but it was so sad how the real woo jin suffered so much only to die in the end T_T otherwise this was great drama, really recommending this!!!

Sucks that they didn't him a love interest in the end/trimmed his appearances in the final arc. He should've been paired up Secretary Shin or even Byul for that matter.

I can't believe Jung Suk-Won the bad guy Chief Director Nam made a cameo (his one of the guy's in Rooftop Prince). Please consider watching this drama because am telling you this is underrated and definitely a gem. From the cast, the story, the sequence and the sound track everything is perfect. REALLY HOPING FOR SEASON 2!!!

Everything was spectacularly executed especially a great performance by Yeo Jin Goo as Kim Woo Jin. Should've watch this drama sooner. I finished it in 3 days hihi. The cast was spectacular, even the child actors where Hollywood level. This show deserves more than it has received. I'm hoping for a season 2 after the ending??

didi Aug 29 2017 9:18 am I really liked this drama, it's a good scifi which is so rare for kdramas. It's kind of slow at the beginning, but if you stick with it I can assure you the last 3 eps alone will make this more than worth it. I loved the bothers bond and how even if it hinted at a love story, it didn't go the cheesy route of wrapping everything with a bow for the ending. Instead we get a hint that the story might continue with a sequel. I really hope it happens!

Eventhough the ending didn't as good as expected, but still this drama is good. This not typically korean drama. With only 12 episode, no cheesy romance and that ending, I feel like watching a Jdrama.

I will be happy if Signal and this drama has season 2 with the same actors & actrees.

I hate shows that require watching multiple episodes, just to understand what's going on.

But what i liked most about it is that it's mystirious till the end and kind of unpredictable, at least it's more unpredictable than the other dramas i watched, i knew how all of them would end and there was not enough mystery, maybe i've been watching the wrong dramas, but anyway i liked this one so very much and i would really like a season 2 explaining that ending scene !!!!!! there's a possibilty that woo jin and jung yeon are the same race..woo jin has a different parent.. are you not curious why woo jin physical appearance didn't change eventhough he was already clo*e three times. even for a cl*** his face should age... the writer can make more twist in the second season 2 if they want to...

It's not your typical Korean movie , wherein you can always guess what will happen next (for example: about cloning, Kim woo Jin wakes up on 2037 thinking it's still 2017, the first part's professor Han whom we thought he is and will be the bad guy until the end, etc).

Season 2 pls!!!! So that we can know what will happen to Byul/ Han Jung Yeon. And of course we want to witness a few romantic scenes as well of the 2 male leads Woo Jin and , with Han Jung Yeon and park min young respectively.

This is one the drama that I never made an skip on each episode because each scene has a significance I made a lot guest and most of my guest was wrong hahahaha..

Good thing yeo jin too made him alive at the end though he is a clone but still thankful because he still has the momories and DNA of the real one.

Kang swung yeon - I first saw her in we got married this girl is really good in crying scene, I've seen her other drama like introverts boss and my only love song but I think she needs more, because I can't feel her sincerity even if she is crying but still she has great potentials.

And I believe that she has a crush on yeo jin too hehehe.. But all in all this is one of my top 10 this year 2017

I was about to watch BOTWG but since that drama is still ongoing, I chose Circle to watch first and I made the right choice. I highly recommend this because they nailed the moral lesson which is way different from other dramas. I find it very unique with unpredictable storyline. For my 3 years of watching kdramas with sub, it deserves my review. All you need to do when watching this is to guess or predict what will happen next. To be honest, most of my predictions were wrong hahaha! Sadly, it is so underrated so I don't expect for season 2 though I want to know more who really Byul is. But, two thumbs up again for tvN!

Wyre Jul 22 2017 1:45 pm The fringe science in the drama made me hooked (after yeo jin goo ofcuz). All characters were potrayed well by each actors, especially the evil chairman. The twins from kiddies up to their adulthood showed great affections that made me bawl most of the time. Byul is pretty, I'm quite mesmerized by her eyes. This drama reminds me a lot of Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, where memories were erased for happier endings (or so they thought). Please enjoy the drama, the pace is lovely.

djdjdjbeast Jul 10 2017 4:20 am ONE OF THE BEST Kdramas I've ever watched. I was reluctant to watch it when it first aired since it was a sci-fi drama. Solely started watching it because of Kikwang and wasn't expecting much. The first episode was so-so + confusing and I was just dreading for Kikwang to appear. However, after watching episode three, I was completely hooked onto the drama. Sci-fi isn't my thing and I think I've never completed a sci-fi drama before but this drama is purely amazing. The cinematography was great. The actors were amazing. This is my first time watching Yeo Jin Goo in a drama and he portrayed the role really well. Same goes with all the other actors. There were so many plot twists and it was actually impossible to predict what was going to happen next with so many possible theories. My guesses were incorrect 90% of the time. Circle is definitely underrated with it's ratings, which I don't understand why. The drama deserves better. I was in awe and speechless after every single episode. The drama kept me interested and curious till the end and the pace was just right. In the second last episode I was doubting that the writers will finish the drama well with so many more to explain, but they did! Circle is probably now my second favourite Kdrama, just after Signal. The story line did have a few minor flaws though but overall it's amazing. It's not a typical Kdrama with it's unique, unpredictable and meaningful plot. Circle definitely wont disappoint. You won't regret watching it!

Excellent productions - casting and chemistry, cinematography, story line, editing and pacing. They really kept me on the edge, and made me think. Though the TVN ratings were not so high, I would like to thank TVN for having the courage to do something different.

Although it seemed like there should be a season 2, I was pretty satisfied with the ending. But it would also be nice to have at least 1 extra episode about Byul and her existence and purpose.

It's an 11/10 for me! I love this drama so much!

I was really looking forward to some cool episode with Jung Yeol getting her memory back and getting into some kind of trouble from the higher up aliens for causing trouble among the humans. Then I guess the two brother having to save her. I don't know but something other then that ending, omg.

Plus I couldn't imagine another actor to play Woo Jin for 2 episodes. It felt obvious, still my heart broke at many times during episode 11. Poor Woo Jin, poor "Circulate3" who thinks he is Woo Jin.

Haven't watch episode 12 yet, but really amazing drama, amazing acting from the cast.

While one wanted something from Kim Woo Jin and Kim Bum Gyun's father, the other one made the blue wrom robot thingy? It kind of suprised me a bit because college professors in real life already have a hard time publishing a book let alone make a robot that makes students suicide. So lol. But I don't exactly know the professions of the professors in this drama. And this drama has a lot of twists. At first I actually thought that Kim Joon Hyuk (2037) was Kim Woo Jin the whole time.

Love the innovated split time line where Woo Jin is looking for his brother in the present while his brother is looking for Woo Jin in the future. I thought Woo Jin was Kim Joon Hyuk in the future since his brother Beom Gyoon was missing in the present time line. I really loved Tomorrow With You eventhough it was a bit boring but I love the story. From ep 1-16. I'm more in this drama. I think it will be like Tomorrow With you. A bit boring but good storyline that is worth watching till the last episode.

After they suspected that Human B is under Bluebird, they realized that Human B keeps their area safe by tampering with one's memories. Even Hosoo thinks about it. And also Joonhyuk said it happened to him as well considering he also had a chip port below his ears his old memories have been tampered as well.

But it doesnt make sense though, Kim Woojin was against robots after all??

He looks so freaking good in white! And the first episode fcked my mind. I had to pause for minutes to sink everything in. Good start though, the first alien part was just weird to me but everything else was great. Beom Gyun and Woojin looks so cute as brothers, cant believe Beom Gyun really killed the senior. Its great so far. I'm off to episode 2 now! Want to see more 2017 scenes.

Too many twists can overwhelm the viewers, especially with the short amounts of episodes. I personally think that they have done a pretty good job with the shocks, reveals, and twists. But, the storyline is pretty average. After they cleared up the twists, the story becomes normal again. And when it's about to reach another twists or reveal, the story changes again. They relied too much on those factors.

We overseas viewers might watch this series online easily, since it might be our only ways to watch the drama. But for Korean who actually subscribed to tvN as one of their TV Channels, they don't even bother watching this drama.

For everyone who reads my comment, it doesn't mean that this drama isn't good. i actually think this drama is pretty good, for a sci-fi. But this kind of drama might be a little hard for you guys to understand. Already episode 4 and I still doesn't know who's good and who's bad among the main characters. Every single character is introduced with a deep mystery and background.

I think that my comment can help you guys who hasn't watch this drama to decide whether to watch it or not.

heyzyx May 31 2017 2:59 am Okay. First of all, I must say that this drama is totally the best one yet in 2017. And might be the best drama yet for a sci-fi genre. The production crews have done their job so well in twisting the plot everywhere. I was totally shocked and in awe for each episode like they were so good. And the latest episode seriously caught me in deepest shit because of the revelation of Detective Kim's identity, the might-be originally Bluebird's identity, and Jung Hyeon's identity. 3 revelations in an episode is suffocating but the most satisfying yet. If any of you haven't watched the drama yet, please do so! You will never be disappointed with it!

They'll all be spoilers so I can't say much, but once you watch the two episodes you find out exactly who is who, what did what, who did this and who did that. It's amazing so far imo!!

At first I was hesitate to watch this because 1) it's not my usual genre; 2) I didn't know about the cast except Kang Seung Yeon; 3) The on-going drama always drive me nuts so I prefer to watch after it ended. And what a reason I changed my mind afterall? I decided to download episode 1 to give it a try and then I started watching and... This drama got into me so deep! I was pulling with the characters, plot, and twist at the end of episode! Actually I love sci-fi action movie (thanks to Hollywood) but I never watched Asian movie with these genres. So I'm happy to give this drama try! Worth to watch! ALL the cast did an excellent job. If you love sci-fi genre then you should watch this! I can't promise anything because it only 2 episodes now, but I think this drama is worth to wait a whole week and will getting better and better. I'm typical who need to watch at least 5 episodes to get me hooked by the plot, but it just need like 15 minutes on the first episode! Already in love with Circle so I have high expectation for this.

I thought he only has a honey-like speaking voice, but he can also sing and with proper training, I think it's even possible that he could be in a musical someday. And in his interviews, he's actually really funny and likable in general. I really hope this drama will do well, because he is so good and hardworking and people who have worked for him vouch for his manners and good personality.
