Set in the fictional country of Dongbangguk. Hwari (Go Ara) is youngest princess of the royal family. She grew up with an independent mindset. When she reaches the age to marry, she decides to find her husband by herself. She comes out of the palace to meet her suitors. She also tries to find the person who painted her face as the main female character in a series of erotic chunhwa paintings.

Meanwhile, Choi Hwan (Chang Ryul) is first on the list of potential husbands for Princess Hwari. He is the wealthiest merchant and possesses a handsome appearance. He looks like a man who enjoys women and money, but he seems to hide a secret.

Notes

Ko Ah-Sung was first cast to play lead female character Princess Hwari, but she had to drop out due to an injury she suffered during her personal time offset. Filming had to temporarily halt and then restart with Go Ara.

anyways it's written well, the cast did great and oh my God how I missed Go Ara<3

it's a fun mini drama that gives me a break from the other intense drama’s that I'm watching now.

Cristalena Mar 02 2025 11:40 pm Ahhh, I hate the crown prince so much. I started fast forwarding his love scenes. It was love, then politics got in the way, and they couldn't just talk like adults? They are both frustrating, but he is a million times worse.

The rest of the stories are ok. I still feel like the ML is hiding something, but there are only 2 episodes left, so I'm not sure how it will all fit.

Janette Feb 15 2025 11:16 pm You need to follow through with the 1st episode. It is actually quite funny and refreshing. I thought at the beginning, omg, Go-Ara in this type of drama??? But really, it is funny. I don't know this actor, Chang Ryul, but i like him. The Director said he wanted someone who looks confident and with boyish charm, he kicked the right actor for it. I like the way he speaks as well. Actually he seems like an ideal man. Appears shallow but he is deeper than anybody thought and he is a man of his words. Surprisingly, loyal. The chemistry with Go-Ara is also to look forward to.

NG Feb 15 2025 2:59 pm The director even said it really a 18+ drama and they did put the 18+ symbol there, reporter asking the director if he want to change it to more like every age could enjoy but he said no. So yeah, what to expect from the drama? The story is quite good for me tho, its quite interesting. And this is from what I know is a cable tv, so practically they could do more whatever they want.

And I also agree with Shen below, the story and the synopsis tell it tho, it was about that so the nudity and sex scene putted there ..

Shen Feb 12 2025 7:37 pm Yall who think nudity and erotic scenes aren't a part of korean entertainment have definitely not seen older dramas and movies. It's only in recent work have they become so censored, which I love along with everyone else but to say they're changing things up is crazy, more like they're going back to their roots lol. However, I don't see this style becoming popular. I think the Korean society has definitely shifted to being more censored in television dramas so I'd say only a few dramas here and there will contain nudity and if that's not for you then no worries, because there are so many other dramas. They honestly couldn't tell this story without nudity (have you guys read the title and the plot?) I like it so far honestly, the nudity and sex scenes aren't over done. Either adds to the plot or provides humor

I think the 1st lead had secret and agenda but he likes Ara because only few lady's refuse his charisma. I think the 2nd lead knows her more but he his more traditional than the 1st lead. More episodes to wait. Ara had kissing scene but some are drawings at the last.

And I dont think the last scene is really going to the extend like the novel said haha. I feel like the drama want us the see the "real life" of Chunhwa life and the "novel life" of Chunhwa. He still has another story with another 2 man tho

They can have fighting seen and romance that's why only adults can see. I'm excited for this drama because go Ara is good in comedy and action seen that's why she injured her feet in hachi and different drama.
