Plot

Hee-Jin (Seo Jung) works in a fishing spot isolated from the world, taking care of small fishing huts that seem to float like islands on a reservoir. Occasionally, she also prostitutes herself to the fishermen. One day, a man comes. He is full of a sense of despair and estrangement. Hee-Jin has her own streak of rustic madness.

Rodrick Mar 11 2014 1:07 am Okay, This is my all time favorite film and some may wonder why. I really don't have a good answer for it but I can say that I love the elements in this film. I even liked the minimal dialogue and the sublime story and acting where great. The soundtrack was also good. This film is very atmospheric and I found myself wishing I could be there, I really loved Seo Jeong's character as a seemingly mute caretaker of the lake getaway. It is definitely a different type of film, I am glad I discovered this film for myself while touring some of Kim Ki Duk's earlier works.

Jon DA May 15 2013 1:58 pm When I first saw this I thought it was one of the weirdest hotels on the face of the planet. I think it's a funny art film if you close your eyes on its upsetting bits. Just get a common sense really. It has a great rock track at end which I like endlessly
