Plot

Even in the harshest environments, firefighters' must focus on extinguishing fires and rescuing anyone there. At 3:47 AM on March 4, 2001, the 119 emergency call center receives a phone call about a fire that has broken out in the Hongje-dong neighborhood. Firefighters, including Cheol-Woong (Joo Won), rush to the scene.

Notes

Movie is based on a true story of the Hongje-dong arson case in 2001.
Filming began on May 18, 2020 and finished on August 29, 2020.

This was a movie that made me want to keep the lights off for about 5 minutes after it ended, because everyone, including me, was wiping away tears...

This is a moving film that addresses various issues that have been socially controversial, such as the treatment of firefighters and parking problems on access roads.

In particular, it was very unfortunate to see firefighters running from a distance with their equipment because fire trucks could not reach the scene of the fire, and the fire hoses were too short to put out the fire.

To be honest, I went to see it without much expectation, thinking it would be something like that, but I was able to feel 'a storm of tears + excitement'!

You will understand how difficult the conditions are for firefighters to work in and why they deserve the best treatment.

Fs really need to prepare a lot of toilet paper! I'm going to cry!

mewsmews Feb 20 2025 5:07 pm Not a bad movie. And nothing that spectacular. The acting is good, but nothing on the movie stands out. Very predictable 101 writing, but based on a real event, i won't go much into complains. it's mostly on the documentary vibe, showing how hard were the conditions of firefighters to actually fight a fire. Unless you have nothing on the list , it's a passing time movie.
