Sim Chung-Yi (Lee So-Yeon) has an absolute sense of sight which allows her to identify thousands of colors. She also has a bright personality. Sim Chung-Yi meets Ma Poong-Do (Jae Hee) who is a pianist. He is highly skilled on the piano, but he receives criticism that he has lack of sensibility. Sim Chung-Yi and Ma Poong-Do develop romantically. Sim Chung-Yi also tries to find a secret of her father.

G.S. Feb 06 2023 1:04 am This drama is way too long, extended to keep you watching but not in an interesting way. Most scenes are forgettable, not necessary and over dramatic dialogues, screaming to the point that breaks the clarity of their voices, it's very irritating. Most actors are very good, Yeo Jina is too much... and over-acting! Doesn't look good! Her other kdrama roles were better. They made the story way complicated.

Park Min Jan 29 2023 2:28 pm Things were kinda fine until the events started to loop endlessly in a corporate setting. This is exactly how most of these daily dramas die and wither away. This drama is manufactured specifically to trigger the viewers by having constant intense shouting with every other sentence, boosted OST playing every 2 seconds to accompany the shouting, unbearable archetypes like the intense hatred and favoritism of the stepmother for one daughters over the other, and the stupid amnesia. The male lead character became absolutely dull after he had the accident, in fact, the entire drama turned for the worse after that.

Ji Na deserved worse, her dying wasn't enough. Her mother too.

He brought her up and showered her with care and love. All she had is anger and hatred. Looking matured but always wearing shorts or skirts. I am so so disappointed with that

Lynn May 06 2021 6:34 am Terrible show. Based on a painting, with so many twisted plots can drag for 120 episodes. And Qing Er is very arrogant and rude towards her adopted father. He brought her up and showered her with care and love. All she had is anger and hatred. Looking matured but always wearing shorts or skirts. Had more to complain but didn't want to waste time. Hope MediaCorp Singapore choose better dramas to air.

Tom Apr 02 2021 6:42 pm Beautiful plot surrounding the everyday lives of the Korea town. It is on my A+ list and would be happy to watch it more than once. As the plot evolves, it built up the suspense and establishes a strong engagement all through the end .. Kudos to the cast, the production team, the director as well as the script writer.

I read some of the earlier comments on the cast and the production ... one man's meat is another man's poison ... well, many of the folks in my circle LOVE ... a message the whole team ... "If there is another production by you, I will certainly watch it again and again" 2 Thumbs-up

Overall is fascinating and the 2 main casts dis a wonderful job ... the development of Chung Yi's character from a child to a teenager and turning into a career woman is every woman's dream - rags to riches. Poong-do brings out a boy from a rich family with a deep cut in his past - intelligent and eventually overcome his "edged" past and found his love. Ji-na is a typical ambitious, out-all survival girl - she says she just want to be happy, but it is just her excuse for greed - the actress did a great job to portray this character. A+++ drama

Hường Vũ Feb 21 2021 7:44 am [ Spoil the plot a little bit] After watching the movie, what I would say is that I did love and enjoy having watching it. I missed some initial episodes about the two main characters's childhood, but it's ok, i could still got the gist. The deeper the drama gets into, the more appealing and emotional it is. What made the most impression on me the the love between Chungy and Poongdo, as well as the fartherhood between her and her adoptive father in the village. Besides, I feet bad for Seo Pil Doo and Yeo Ji Na. Through almost the entire movie, they acted pretty good as two brazen demons. I really hated them, some scenes did make my blood boil. Till the very end, I felt kind of bitter and sorry for them that they had spent their whole life committing crimes and never could felt the true happiness ( they knew they had children in the end but seems to turn down their rights to be their parents) because of their endless greed. I have cried when watching many scenes regarding the love between Poodo and Chungy, they are a really great couple, I really adore them. Chungy and his adoptive father, also, created many touching scenes that made me moving a lot. What a beautiful fatherhood! He sacrificed a lot for her and vice versa. One minus point that can not denied is that the plot is quite long, which could make many audience impatient and give up. For me, I couldn't wait to watch only one episode day by day, so I actually went online and watched loads of english sub episodes in a row. Frankly, it took me 4 days to finish the film. To sum up, I recommend you give it a try if u have time. I was impressed and loved the film a lot. I loved the happy ending, loved the meaningful quotes in the end "... The colour of the people by your side". It taught me loads of meaningful lessons that can not easily fade away in a day or two. I have read many comments below that says the audience doesn't like the film. Anyway, everyone has their own tastes and senses, so I have no judges to them. To me, the film is good enough.

Pan Feb 16 2021 6:28 am I do not know for what reason the film was bought and aired in our country (maybe the show is so bad that they do not even need to pay for copyright) but it is bad. So Bad. It made no sense, nonsense in fact, from the story to characters actions, characteristics and emotions are down right straight to the trash, I could blame the scripter whatsoever but the actors... are worse, I cannot describe how bad it was, even the acting in The Town With No Name is better and more on point on the aspect of the story. And I dont even understand why this thing is aired for 121 episode, suppose all the money is invested in imagery and clothing, etc... but that doesn't mean they should throw the story in the garbage. Waste of time. Cheap soap opera. Boring. The more I watch the more I feel how the show is defying and underestimating watchers' knowledge and enjoyment. At least some scenes look good. I guess? 2/10 (thank you for nothing but brain dead unconvincing plot)

saranghae Jul 15 2019 1:08 pm cant believe anybody put this on tv this is an awful drama like ive never seen this bad before i dumped this drama by epi 41 i gave this drama a lot of chances cuz its predecessor secrets and lies that i just finished a couple of days before was really good and im still shaken by the last epi so out of respect for mbc i gave this drama lot of chances but my patience has a limit the plot is totally stupid and empty there was nothing to follow through and the ratings speak for itself lots of people abandoned this drama as well this drama shouldve never been put on tv unless the decadence of mighty kdramas just started

lrt Jun 20 2019 6:04 am If you think this drama has the worst storyline, try watching Left Handed Wife where a character gets a face transplant...just crazy. Since they have written Jae Hee into more scenes, this drama is actually getting more interesting. There was definitely a dry spot in the middle where I was bored. Did you catch Jae Hee's dance scene...super cute!!

I am sorry to say this, but I think that the story will become better if they change the two villain with a new villain. Like Seo Pil Doo and his partner go to jail, so the new villain make appearance like Voice.

Unrealistic antagonists. I've watched almost all of JH's dramas and this is one of the worst he did. I'm really annoyed they cast him in this drama and not in a 16/ 20 ep drama where he could really return as a hallyu star again. *sighs.

SPOILERS* - eps 53 - 54...I really thought Ji-Na finally realising who Yeol-Mae is, that she would take the straight and narrow and try to redeem herself from all her greed and betrayals!!...BUT NOOOOO!!! the idiot added another murder to her plate and now theres DEFINITELY no turning back now!!! the build up is getting so intense now that im ready for a big reveal in a grand finale spectacular style!! 6 more episodes left!!

side note: I really REALLY want to see Ji-Na's mother crumble when she finds out the truth too! (abt Ji-Na evil doings, Chung-Yi and Poong-Do, Yeol-Mae and who Yeo-Jungs aunty really was!!...lol

From Joker face Jina screaming at the top of her lungs every time she doesn’t get her way to her chortling mother, ready to frame anyone in her family of any crime for her precious Jina to Pil Do who’s so evil looking he may as well be in a Bond movie. Episode after episode of sociopaths behaving badly, and you already know that Jina and Mom will be forgiven because of the child Jina abandoned. Pathetic.

There isn't a balance among the bad things and good things, that is why this drama becomes annoying. Only bad things are happening. If that will continue, I don't think this drama will be watching any further.

WTF episode 12 and 13 just dropped and it feels like this story is half way to a (like) mid-season climax!!! and with only 2 episodes left at 35 mins each...i feel like the ending has to be rushed or they're going to give us a second season cliff hanger?!?

wwe Jan 28 2019 11:55 pm ok just watched episode 11...and now its getting interesting with everyone back in town after a long break from each other. So the plot thickens with Beak Joon released from prison, gold digging Jin-Na in town, unknown fake portrait about to be exposed to the public, Pil-Do out to silence his past crimes and Chuang-Yi's past memory resurfacing. Throw in romance and comedy and you got a receipe for an interesting drama....my downfall in this drama is Poong-Do acting is getting abit annoying with too much Jim Carey facial's...other than that...its dropped to 8/10 for me :)

Rider Jan 18 2019 8:28 am Glad to see Lee So Yeon in a transformational role. She will always be remembered as the evil consort queen in Dong Yi, yet, I can see why she was chosen for this role. She has the acting skills, and those big, big eyes - so fitting for her character.

wwe Jan 17 2019 5:36 pm yeah love this drama so far....great cast and good story/plot...what i like about this drama is that is got ALOT of puzzle pieces that will piece together for a grand story...unlike other dramas based on korean fables, this drama is straight forward with out googling the core of the story (like Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter)...its relatable to modern day love crisis without any supernatural/mythical beings or powers (besides the MC's reverse colour sight)...but this romcom drama has got potential...just hope they dont drag it out too much or rush it too quickly!! 8.5/10 (up to eps.4)
