8 years ago, Lee Ha-Jin (Myung Se-Bin) fell in love with Cha Do-Yoon (Kim Seung-Su), but they broke up.

Now, Lee Ha-Jin is enthusiastic about cooking. She meets Cha Do-Yoon again. After Cha Do-Yoon dumped Ha-Jin, he has been full of vengeance and hatred toward her.

To sum it up: cheap thin story, baboonish brain-dead script, smaller cast, limited number of side stories and scuffed production. The first 4 episodes will give you a clear idea what type of shenanigans and decisions the drama will adapt. Can't recommend the drama!

kdramafunfan Dec 30 2021 9:20 pm epi 27 after so many wasted epis finally the plot is starting to surface which is getting interesting the writer didnt make a good story on how the lead fem lost her memories theres lots of blank spots that is disorienting the viewers perhaps the writer wanted to add mystery to the plot but it turned out to be very dumb well lets see how the writer solve all these problems and lets judged later for now am pleased with the plot and i think i can continue and am liking the lead fem so probably thats why am sticking with the drama

This one almost the exact same plot as “Still You” and the actors who play Kang Chae-Rin and her now husband. Funny thing is that they both look like that they had some major plastic surgery Couldn’t recognize them at first. The other story was “Winter Sonata” which also had an almost identical show after. Can’t they come up with other plots?

Simply hire nonfamily within the company and the business will be fine with them rotting in jail. A person can pay for the actions of relative. Debts are passed down to family.

 I do not thing Korean Law put people in prison based on a family contract if that is the case a lot of rich people would be in jail.

Sue Apr 22 2017 10:56 am Very unsatisfied ending. I didn't really understand it. Very confusing story . There was too much episodes with unnecessarily seens that kept the whole drama with more sadness and problems. It was a very poor ending. Could have been more time for the couple with the seens on happiness with Ga On then I would say it was a good ending. The the main Actor stayed in prison for 3 years on something that he really did not do, but have only his name on it. Stupid line. I didn't understand that part. Confused.

dune73clue Apr 07 2017 11:10 am I hope ha jin and do yoon end up together soon. I like Korean drama but sometimes they drag things out to make more unnecessary episodes. Do yoon seems to be doing something diabolical with minnie, I just hope ha jin doesn't end up with jung woo. That would mess up everything. In order for the drama to end right, ha jin and do yoon HAVE to end up together.

The storyline focus too heavily on control & power over chaebols, and although I've been viewing this production it really does remind a lot of Heaven's Promise storyline...but overall it's just too much it makes me cringe. Also I don't like seeing the kids Kaon & Hyerin being treated as props of abuse for benefit of characters or storyline advancing either, it's truly sick.

Kris Mar 15 2017 8:40 am I liked wang bitna in five children and wished she could have had a happy ending in that series. That series was awesome. This one is gosh awful. I am not watching 100plus episodes and bummed that this time spot is taken up with this drama. For months I will accidententally watch a few minutes of it checking to see if the next drama started. I Love You, Someday, Alone in Love, What will happen to my Family, Let's Eat, Ten, Ten2, Gourmet, Nine Times Travel, Childless Comfort, Five Enough, My Little Bride, Going by the Book, Dancing Queen, Answer me (with less flashbacks to prior scenes), Flower Boys Next Door.. this is what we want to see. Who in Korea wants to work for or marry into a chaebol family business after watching these series? Gosh. I know they are just fiction but the news actually suggests Korean society works this way. Korean Air and nutgate is an example. Why release company leaders for the good of the company/economy? Other people can run them. Why do family members for several generations have such power in publicly traded companies in Korea? How can so many people go missing on a peninsula that is basically an island? Stop harming kids like in the Promise and this show. Five children was the only series to date that I have seen that treated children as characters enjoying childhood and not simply props or worse, objects of abuse. A real part of the series.

Margo Mar 13 2017 5:44 pm It seems Choi do Yoon not suspicious about Minh Hee's activities. He should have a trusted investigator to confide with to be aware of his wife's and his in-laws plus His father's business activities daily to update him as to the status of the business. Certainly his secretary is not qualified as the brother works for MinhHee. An overall CCTV in a secluded room known only to him would help reveal untoward movements within the office. Of course,the CCTV should also have sound to pick up the conversations if any. This gadget should tape to record the daily activities of every employee of every department including the garage to record the arrival and departure and any suspicious presence of strangers. By the way two qualified house detectives should man the CCTV in shifts better in a room Located beside the CEO's room. Any unusual activity should be reported at once to the CEO. Thus Choi Do Yoon would be aware of Minh Hee's shenanigans and and act immediately to abort it. There should be a more exciting exchange of tactics by Ha Jin to fight Minh Hee's devilish intentions. Ha Jin should now show her own skills to fight and defend her rights with the help of Do Yoon and Jung Woo and police to tail the culprit who is in the pay of Minh Hee. Ha Jin should be stronger to have Minh Hee investigated by the police re the fake marriage, the kidnapping of the baby, the kidnapping again of Ga On etc. I hope the above should help skyrocket the ratings. I look forward to forthcoming episodes and finally the awards. Do Yoon and Jung Woo should surprise the viewers by becoming more inventive and stronger in their roles to fight the villains in succeeding episodes. Duh, please make it easier to access the coming thrilling episodes. Thank you.

Hope Ha Jin will be able to find her son ...but very difficult for both leading actors to find a way to mend hurt feelings and if fate allows it to get together and find happiness at the end with their son. Certainly the mother, daughter and father... Will they be punished for their greed and twisted minds ... Specially Minh Hee who master mind the plots to get rid of Ha Jin? What fate awaits the father of the little girl.... Will the author return the fortune they lost due to the skillful business maneuvers of Minh Hee, her mother and father for her to maintain her new position as CEO? Indeed, punish the wicked and Ha Jin should have the happiness she seeks when just punishment is meted out to the villains.By the way...it is difficult to follow the episodes if there is no English subtitles. Please make the English subtitles available. Thank you.

Too many twists and turns, very unrealistic story lines, the same diseases or secrets, same villains that are unbelievably evil and heroines that are incredibly naive or simple minded.  The character of the adopted witch came from a lunatic household, so what do we expect?  In this story the mothers and father created this evil and pathetic race to put one child again of the other.

Faye Feb 21 2017 3:18 pm First of all, Minhee is pure evil. She does not care about her child, she uses her child to get to her husband and mother inlaw. Second, she's a pathetic liar, she creates situations, uses other people to do her dirty work, and she smiles a lot and that's what gets me. Her husband should slap her, corner her against a wall and just wring her neck until she turns blue. Minhee manipulates a lot of people to her advantage, and no one, I mean no one is able to put her in her place. I like it when her husband talks to her like, he really nails to the point she can't fool him one bit. One by one, Minhee will get her punishment and hopefully she will end up in jail for so many wrongs she's done. And the funny thing is, she thinks she has not done anything wrong. What a psychopath.

Donor Macneice Feb 17 2017 11:55 am I watch this show mainly because of the character of Yoon Chae-Sung. Albeit a supporting role, but he is a very charismatic and convincing actor and is a pleasure to watch. I hope he gets more roles and leading ones too. One thing does bother me. Are all Korean women like those portrayed in this drama? Do they all shout and scream at each other all the time and cry? I should hope not and I don't think so. I have spent a lot of time in Korea and never met any like that. What a pity the writers and producers/directors have to portray women in such a bad manner.

But please someone - cast Yoon Chae-Sung in a good leading role soon. He will certainly make it get high ratings.

Llian93 Jan 24 2017 2:20 pm Its drama so it will takes another 20 or more episodes before Ha Jin and Jung Woo to find their children and another 30 episodes for Doo Yoon to find out he had a son with HJ. Even if HJ regain her memory nothing has change, every single episode is all about Min Hee torturing HJ, while Doo Yoon do nothing. This drama is too slow.

Well, guess all writing can't be on the same level as The Goblin or Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. I like JAC's comment the baby (Hye Rim) could be Ha Jins & Do Yoons, but thought it was Min Hee's & Jung Woo's.

I applaud the writers for creating such a complicated threesome power grab... I pity the main characters... Lee ha jin and Cha do yoon for being trapped in their own imagined suffering... Pride does it... They can always have coffee and talk about what really happened... But then that would be the end of the drama... I just can't have enough of this... I'm so worked up when watching this serial that it makes me want to step on Wang Bit na's face... Shes the evilest amongst them...

   Controlling mother who adapted a daughter who is controlling witch and passive father add the Controlling father with idiotic mistress and son, plus dump mother of  Cha Do-Yoon.
              Clearly a story of mental setbacks and Healing

   Given neither leading actor and actress is married.

Reviewing all three Korean Media Awards the majority of the actors actresses are not married or married to women 10 x their age. Consequently, the Korean Media is run by men and the dramas are usually about evil women.

                             Adopted daughter of Kim Young-Sook and side kick	(University President Baek) is plain evil.

Myung Se-Bin and Kim Seung-Su have great chemistry;therefore, I plan on watching this show.

And even I think that Hajin might be the evil witch's daughter and the bets are Minhee had her baby and got rid of the baby and the girl is probably Hajin's daughter. Gotta wait and see.
