Set in the Heian period, Seimei Abe (Kento Yamazaki) is a young student at Onmyoryo. The school raises students to become an onmyoji, who protect the city from curses and evil spirts. Seimei Abe is well known as a genius in the field of magic. Unlike his fellow students, who all aspire to become an onmyoji, Seimei Abe doesn't any interest in becoming an onmyoji. One day, he is asked by Noble Hiromasa Minamoto (Shota Sometani) to solve a strange phenomenon that hits royal family member Yoshiko (Nao). Seimei Abe and Hiromasa Minamoto work together to unravel the strange phenomenon.
Notes
- Story for "Onmyoji Zero" is an original screenplay that was influenced by novel series "Onmyoji" by Baku Yumemakura (first published August 10, 1988 in magazine Ooru Yomimono) and centers around historical figure Seimei Abe (February 21, 921 - October 31,1005). The movie's screenplay focuses on the school days of Seimei Abe before he became an onmyoji.
