Kwon Do-Hoon (Jang Hyuk) is married to Kang Yoo-Ra (Jang Na-Ra). He is a secret agent for the NIS (National Intelligence Service) and a veteran sniper with a quick and highly accurate shot. By day, he disguises himself as an ordinary employee for a trading company. Even his wife Kang Yoo-Ra believes he holds an ordinary office job. Kwon Do-Hoon is busy with his work, so he is unable to spend much time with Kang Yoo-Ra. Nevertheless, he loves his wife more than anything else. Meanwhile, Kang Yoo-Ra always dreamed of having a perfect family. She met Kwon Do-Hoon and married him. She works as a housewife and does it well, but she has a secret that nobody knows about.

Jo Tae-Gu (Kim Nam-Hee) appears in front of Kwon Do-Hoon and Kang Yoo-Ra. His appearance shakes the peaceful life of Kwon Do-Hoon and Kang Yoo-Ra.

Lunarrys Jan 31 2026 1:04 pm I love this Jang-Jang couple's fourth screentime together. Can I be hopeful for another reunion soon? And hopefully if another reunion exists, I hope it will be in darker tone and more serious than this one. Possibly a suspense or thriller? I've seen a lot of Jang Nara's darker and suspense dramas, she even played a villain. Jang Hyuk is also good with darker drama, and I wish I could see them teamed up or played against each other in hopefully a future project.

Aww, just read that senior actor Lee Soon Jae has passed away at age 91! He played Jang Hyuk's Dad in this drama. He will be missed. I counted them up, I've seen him in 20 dramas over the years. Amazing output. RIP.

Jillibean Nov 18 2025 2:31 am The two Jangs shine together again, on this, their third screen pairing together. The comedy was welcomed to lighten the underlying darker theme of a strained marriage.

Can we hope for a fourth future pairing too? They obviously enjoy working together. :)

After that, she lived with her Thai adoptive parents without any training whatsoever. So how was she able to be still skilled in sniping and combat after years without practice?

It seems there were only 12 episodes and it left off with a couple of threads still ongoing, leaving the presumption of a further season but I have not found any news of one so far.

Rang Dec 23 2023 7:17 am Highly recommended! This pair never disappoints. The series doesnt even fail to add comedy even when on scenes that you expect to be very serious. I do agree there are too much unnecessary scenes for the in-laws and the ending doesn't isnt very satisfying. Since there are only 12 episodes, I had hope they focus more on giving the viewers a great ending. It's a TV series anyway, why not just go all out and give the best happy ending everybody deserves.

Jang nara neomo yeoppo!!! Sep 07 2023 9:55 am The first few episodes were Amazing!!! But they go downhill as the plot thicken. I had a hard time understanding the story till the end. Why are they soo eager to get rid off those MGD kids? There were soo many plot holes. How did the kids end up in Thailand suddenly???

Maybe i am just dumb…

I also thinks mirim character is a big excessive.. story about boseok is also unnecessarily too much.

But overall i still enjoy the drama. Great family chemistry. I had a good laugh. My rating is 7.5/10

Lee Mi-Rim walking in the supermarket with Kang Yoo-Ra...Mi-Rim is walking like shaking her entire lower body sashaying and swaying and the dress she is wearing is kind of see-thru and can see she is wearing a pillow in there to make her look pregnant and funny part is the pillow is way down to private area. Hmmm...also seems she is trying too hard to act thru or is this how her script is.

I recently watched it with my husband since we both love anime and I like kdramas as well and he loves to read manhwas we both instantly thought of Spy x Family when watching this. IT’s phenomenal and emotional and Jang na ra has always been my favorite actress and she didn’t disappoint.

They should've been focused just on the NIS and MGD instead of leaving us with an open-ended plot. I think this is my first time watching Jang Nara do badass scenes and i would love to see her with this kind of character again.

deliriouslin May 28 2023 9:37 am The first 2 eps started off great but story went downhill after, the backstory on the union and trying to make it like Mr & Mrs Smith was a little far-fetched but the fighting scenes are good.

Jang Hyuk and Jang Na Ra's chemistry is 100% given that they worked together in other projects, the other family cast's performance was good too but too much emphasis on the brother and sister-in-law.

It is still worth watching however, some scenes can skip and focus on the hilarious part :)

Hiyori May 23 2023 4:00 pm It's simple and fine finally. It's not bad ending. If you can't understand it try more. Their systems work that way, they just follow orders. Jo taego already knows he will end up that way that's why he visits first his daughter, and that's it, no need to go further about it. That's the life of agents or spies. Yu-ra is the only exception coz of the deal of Do Hoon and The higher ups.. no more season 2, especially it's under CJ ENM, I think they will not follow another season for it.

Penggwyn May 23 2023 1:03 pm The first half of the series, while funny, was a bit dragging. They dragged the puppy love of the kids way too much instead of fleshing out the story. I do hope there is a season 2 as the ending seems rushed and open-ended.

sammy May 15 2023 8:17 am i was really interested in the storyline plus uri favorite jangjang couple is the main lead. but i feel like the flow of the story is slow and many unnecessary scenes were added especially the romance between the kids. i found the kiss scene of the kids really uncomfortable to watch. it is too much for their age. it shouldn't be included in the story in the first place.

But as I watched it, it’s pretty weird to see the kid’s unnecessary love line, the jokes are pretty flat, and the story itself has a lot of missing pieces. I think this is a pretty mid drama, wouldn’t strongly recommend you to watch it im sorry

Sometimes, the funny situation was not funny, seems like it pushes too hard. So pitiful, JangNara and Janghyuk actings were superb btw.

A lot of people I know prefer watching Korean dramas over American shows because they are clean and free of swearing. Really disappointed I was looking forward to the drama "Family" now I can't watch it with my family, it's not a family show.
