Shinya Sugi (Masaki Aiba) is single and a qualified architect, but he works as a water meter reader. He has gone through a lot of pain in his life. At the age of 15, he lost his parents and home. A couple of years later, his older sister, whom he loved very much, died suddenly from a disease. Shinya Sugi has been all alone since that time. He has also shut his mind to the world. One day, he visits onigiri restaurant Tachibana and meets its owner Kaoru Tachibana (Fuyumi Sakamoto). She looks just like Shinya Sugi's late older sister.
