Misao Itsuki (Kenta Hamano) is an unpopular enka singer. His wife passed away and he takes care of his daughter Aware (Sari Awano). Misao Itsuki hopes to perform one day on NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen (NHK New Year's Eve music show), but his song is not very popular. Misao Itsuki is warned by his record label that if his CD does not reach a certain sales figure, he will be fired. Aware is worried about her father and takes action.
