Aki (Aoi Morikawa) is jobless and she has a hard time to find work. She lives with her boyfriend, but her boyfriend dumps her. She then begins to live at her friend's share house. There, she meets again Tomoya (Masaki Nakao) after many years. They graduated from the same middle school and he was her first boyfriend. Tomoya is now a novelist, but he has been in a slump for the past 2 years. He has also not been in an intimate relationship during that time. Tomoya accidentally makes physical contact with Aki. His body feels something.

I felt like I wanted him to be nice to her and explain that he was crazy about her….I kept hoping she would leave the house and make him come to her. But whatever!!!!! Glad the episodes were short on number and time.

I have read the manga till the final chapter that was released earlier this year and I must say, this is a very good live action. Kudos to the Cast, Producers that made it well done. My only concern is that the Episode 10 is NOT IN THE MANGA so you can skip it and start reading the continuation in manga instead.

The way the actress portrayed Aki Terada was hilarious (in a good way). I like her acting and was very satisfied with her. The actor who played Hongyo was (I think) still confused how he will portray the role in the beginning but grasped it before the middle of the series. Then Hase was superb. It was like he was the character. When I was still reading the manga I was wondering do people like Hase really exist in real life? Then voila! His acting was the personification of Hase.

The difference between the Manga and the Drama was: (1) The drama can be fast paced, with things happening right after another and the viewers might get cofused and overwhelmed. But believe me, what happened in the Drama is just the same with Manga. But reading lets you / makes you think. Like you are on your own pace. You will ask yourself, why is Hongyo like that? what is he thinking? You will feel the roller coaster ride of emotions Aki felt while living in that house. When I read before I was confused like Aki as to what is Hongyo was thinking, I get to like Hase as well, and I felt betrayed when Hase did that to both Aki and Hongyo. I was like Aki when reading the manga.

So I Recommend Reading The Manga First before watching the drama to fully enjoyed the Kakafukaka experience. Watching drama after reading the manga was like cherry on top.

Yokoyamabuin Jun 16 2021 11:24 am I'm an avid fan of the manga Kakafukaka and when I first heard that there will be a live action, I was not excited at all. Hahaha. Then I heard that some are unsatisfied with this drama so I never really bother checking it out.

I've read the manga repeatedly because it's very interesting and it was very new. There was some mystery to it especially what goes in Hongyo's mind. Whenever there's a new chapter update I read from chapter 1 again. Finally I have read the final chapter and I somehow understood what Hongyo really is. It was my favorite because somehow I'm like Aki, I keep on cheering for her and I probably did what she has done in that situation. It was like a roller coaster ride.

When I finished the entire story in the manga, I suddenly got the urge to watch the drama. I was laughing the whole time because it was so hilarious. If you've read the manga in its entirety you can understand me hahaha.

I like the girl who protrayed Aki Terada. She was so hilarious hahahaha. I also like the one who portrayed Taichi Hase. He was so likeable and he is the exact Hase in the Manga. But I prefer the Hongyo in the Manga. Like I want him for myself hahaha. One thing that made me a fan is that I like Hongyo through and through.

To those who are weirded out to this drama or wants to watch the drama, I recommend you read the Manga version first. You will be satisfied believe me. Although when I watched this drama, it's understandable that the story is really fiction and somehow cannot happen in real life. That's why it's weird.

I watched because I've never watch anything like this before, the story is fresh but I see no development, nothing in this drama, and I've also tried to search for its comic ending but couldn't. There's no romance but all, I just don't see it

Lalala Nov 13 2020 8:09 pm Hanging. Plus Hongyo isn't as aggressive in showing affections or moves than on first 5 episodes. So sad. The ending looks like a shortcut. Don't know if the manga is finished or not though.
