Plot
Hong-do who lost her parents by lecher Bae at an early age in Kanghwa Island is adopted by an innkeeper in Ansung. But she is sold off to a Chinese merchant by her stepfather, but is rescued by Master Eoh, the leader of a folk singing and dancing troupe. She begins to sing and dance with the traveling troupe. Master Eoh does not want to see Hong-do dance by day and sell herself by night so he participates in gambling ring. He accidentally kills someone while gambling in the games. After surviving numerous adversities, she returns to Kanghwa Island and with the help of Eoh she kills Bae. She witnesses the final moments of Eoh who dies as a fugitive from the law. Hong-do ends her life too and lies next to Eoh's body on a raft.
