Chan-Joo (Park Sol-Mi) and Jin-Se (Hong Jong-Hyun) married three months after meeting for the first time. Three years later, the couple enjoy a peaceful marriage, but things change when their ex-lovers appear. Ran (Bae Noo-Ri) is the daughter of Jin-Se's former teacher. Eun-Hyuk (Kim Min-Jun) is Chan-Joo's ex-lover. Because of Ran and Eun-Hyuk, Jin-Se and Chan-Joo become shaken.

Park Min Jun 10 2023 12:52 pm The scuffed production from the beginning wasn't a good sign for what's to come but I was willing to give it a chance. However, it quickly became apparent that this level of writing was clumsy at best. The writer pulled a poor attempt trying to create a mature drama about complicated adult relationships but all these relationships came off as amateurish and bland. The sever lack of chemistry between the characters didn't help either.

truefeather77 Oct 26 2020 9:58 pm I’m watching this chiefly for Kim Min Jun. his character may be a bit despicable, but his performance is wonderfully tormented – someone has been feeding his soul, little by little, to a monster.

Unlike many others, I’m not loving the Jinsei character, because he’s been lying to his wife from the beginning. I don’t see why he needs to cover up a relationship with someone he thinks of as a little sister. So many things would be resolved if people would just tell the truth from the beginning.

Lovely little plot twists and surprises. And I’m loving the fact that this isn’t about airheaded teenagers, as Aunty Pittypat below pointed out. This is about the care and feeding of a loving marriage, definitely for grown-ups, which is a refreshing change from so many other dramas.

The story line is unique but realistic.love the main character Jin Se and chan choo...so touching and lovely.my tears dried up already . Hong Jong Hyun as Jin Se is master piece performance. His eyes really can replace the words..This kind of drama worth to watch,there is good massage and less sexual. Bravo to all Beloved team

Aunt Pittypat Apr 07 2019 9:22 pm This drama is very realistic compared to most Korean dramas, sexual matters are quite frank, and the feelings of the myriad characters well displayed by these pros. And I liked the music very much, especially the main song, it had a Titanic flavor to it, kind of Celtic feeling. If you like K-dramas aimed at teenyboppers with skulls full of mush then take a pass on this one. If you are a mature person you will probably enjoy it. And I agree that Hong Jong Hyun is the highlight. Loved his performance.

The songs themselves were not adapted for the drama and it would have been good to stick to korean songs rather than those 70's western movies' like english songs...

Roe Hill Oct 11 2018 4:43 pm I can’t understand why everyone is bad mouthing his wife. He cheated on her. Then he moved the girl into the house. I’m glad she divorced him. She did not love the married man. She was just heartbroken and desperate to leave town. Overall, this is a good drama. Bittersweet and heartfelt. I love the happy ending.

eszen vallente Feb 08 2018 2:32 am . ..this drama is absolutely nice.i watch this 5 years ago but still it makes me cry again and love the jin se and chan joo couples again.the actors really did well in their part in acting.i really like to watch it again.their so lovely.i really like the character of jin se his true love towards chan joo.sol mi and jong hyun match to their character.they really did well.

Soso Jan 23 2018 11:52 pm This drama was very touching .. I love how it's about marriage while most dramas are about gf/bf relationship .. The drama starts with their marriage, but it tells their love story little by little through a number of episodes, which I absolutely loved .. The production though is kind of weak, that's the only downfall but it didn't bother me personally at all.

Anna Oct 21 2017 12:25 am This drama was about a wife punishing and cheating her husband from 1st to the last episode i cried for how awfully she treated him he didnt deserve that he was soooo in love with her and he was a pure character i hate the fact that he loved her till the end but i am happy because he ended up with his love if anyone wants to watch it for the story dont watch but if want to watch it for that husband HONG JONG HYUN seriously then its worth it

Malditang Bugay Nov 23 2016 5:25 am The storyline was really well written. It’s a roller coaster of a emotions in here so be ready. The acting was awesome. There are a few Kdrama cliches in here but not nearly as many as I thought considering this was an intense love story. The comedy in here (although there is not much of it) is also really well placed. Nothing like a good laugh after a hard cry. If you like love stories then this is a must watch. Awesome soundtrack.

defrots7 Dec 25 2014 5:32 pm I can't understand people who like this drama, I never seen a men so mistreated from episode to 16, except maybe from WHEN A MAN LOVES. She never once goes to him the entire drama and we are suppose to believe she suffering and in pain while she's in the other man arms.

Annie Oct 27 2013 5:07 am One of my favorite korean drama ever!!! Very realistic story. It shows what can happen to married couples in real life! And it goes to show whatever happens if that person is really destined for you no matter what, you'll still end up together.! I just love everything from the pilot episode until the finale! You would definitely watched every episode!! And I'm such a fun of the cast members!! They're such good actors & actresses!! They really portrayed their roles very well!! Can't wait for their upcoming projects!! :)

I don't understand how anyone would want to get back with that wife who kept jumping into her ex-boyfriends arms - to make my experience of this drama even worse I had to read comments on the site I was watching it on. It seems women who watch these dramas have some kind of filter that filters out every bad thing the female lead (wife does) and only are able to blame the husband when what the wife has been doing through the entire drama has been so much worse than the husband but for some reason the husband gets all the blame.

LAPM Jan 09 2013 3:10 pm I was actually pleasantly surprised with "Dear You" aka Beloved elsewhere. Having screened enough KDramas to nitpick on what it is that will make me drop a show like a hot potato, I do wait for that moment of clarity when the script works out its lulls and dips, and brace myself for the wrong turns. (Squeaky pitchy, sacchrine not so cutesy actresses/roles, gawdawful bizarre redheads are among the peeves).

I think the last 4 episodes really brought the show to a resolute ending. It was good that the end was not cliched, maudlin, or frivolous. It was good see that happen.
