Hayato Inukai (Ikki Sawamura) is a detective with keen insight. He is able to tell whether someone is lying.
A dead body, with a knife lodged in his chest, is discovered on a bench at a park. The victim is Taku Shinojima. He was the vocalist for a popular rock band and winner of a literary award for his first novel.
