Kang Si-Woo (Seo In-Guk) appears to be a perfect guy, with good looks and self-discipline. Unfortunately, due to his cold and direct personality, he is known as the most prickly person at work. As a department manager at work, he oversees workers, including Cha Ji-Yoon (Park Ji-Hyun) who has worked there for 7 years. Cha Ji-Yoon is good enough at her job that she is respected by her co-workers. She experiences a slump in her daily life and is not in a romantic relationship, but her ordinary life gets swayed by her supervisor Kang Si-Woo.

Mars Jul 02 2026 6:19 am I was surprised that it got adapted, have yet to see it, but disappointed with the main cast, I can see the resemblance of the male lead with the actor, but why they choose her as the female lead? a lot of contradiction with the webtoon character, she is suppose to be rather chubby with rounded face and cheeks, but she is very thin.

What I love most is that the drama doesn't rely on over-the-top conflicts or shocking plot twists just to keep viewers hooked. Instead, it tells a story that feels incredibly grounded and real. From workplace pressure and burnout to imperfect relationships and the feeling of wanting to give up but having to keep going because life doesn't stop—everything is portrayed in such a relatable way. It feels like watching slices of everyday life unfold on screen. That's exactly why it resonates with me. Not every drama needs exaggerated conflicts or endless drama to be compelling.

When it comes to the acting, I honestly have nothing to criticize.

Seo In Guk once again proves why he's considered one of Korea's finest actors. His portrayal of Kang Si Woo is incredibly subtle and sophisticated. This is the kind of character who doesn't express his emotions through dramatic reactions or loud dialogue. If the actor overdoes it, the character feels forced; if he underplays it, people mistake it for being expressionless. Seo In Guk finds that perfect balance. A single glance, a slight pause, the way he unconsciously swallows after hearing Ji Yoon's name, or the faintest smile is enough to let the audience understand exactly what Si Woo is feeling. That's the beauty of restrained acting—it says so much while doing so little. The more closely you watch him, the more layers you discover. Not every actor can deliver a performance this nuanced.

As for Park Ji Hyun, I honestly think she's being judged unfairly. I've seen comments saying she has "no expressions," but I think people are confusing restrained acting with bad acting. Ji Yoon is a woman who's emotionally exhausted after years of surviving in a demanding corporate environment. She's someone who has learned to suppress her emotions just to get through each day. If she were constantly crying, laughing, or reacting dramatically, it would actually feel out of character. And honestly, if Park Ji Hyun were truly a poor actress, she wouldn't have won acting awards or received multiple acting nominations over the years. Those accomplishments don't happen by luck. I believe she's portraying the character exactly as intended instead of trying to overact just to satisfy viewers who expect bigger emotional displays.

I've also seen people saying the webtoon is better. That's completely understandable because a webtoon and a live-action drama are two very different mediums. Yes, if you've read the original story, you can probably predict where the plot is going. But even knowing the destination, the drama still keeps me completely invested through its pacing, dialogue, performances, and the chemistry between the cast. I may already know what will happen, but I'm still excited every week to see how the drama chooses to tell that story. To me, that's what makes a successful adaptation.

Another thing I absolutely love is that the drama doesn't drag out misunderstandings for the sake of creating unnecessary conflict. These are adults who communicate, listen to one another, and treat each other with respect. Kang Si Woo quietly recognizes Ji Yoon's abilities and constantly supports her growth, while Ji Yoon gradually helps Si Woo open his heart and smile again. Their relationship develops naturally, feels incredibly healing, and gives me butterflies without relying on forced drama or toxic relationship tropes.

Maybe this drama isn't for viewers who only enjoy fast-paced stories filled with constant twists and cliffhangers. But for anyone who's experienced the realities of adulthood—workplace stress, emotional exhaustion, and the loneliness that sometimes comes with growing up—I think this drama will hit surprisingly close to home. After a long day at work, watching something warm, comforting, and emotionally honest like this feels incredibly healing.

For me, this drama doesn't need to be loud to capture people's attention. Its strength lies in the little things: thoughtful dialogue, nuanced performances, consistently written characters, and emotions that feel authentic. That's exactly why I find myself looking forward to every new episode. It's the kind of drama that grows on you with each passing week, rather than losing its charm. Another thing I absolutely love is the chemistry between Seo In Guk and Park Ji Hyun. Great chemistry doesn't have to come from endless skinship or constant flirting. Sometimes, it's found in the little things—the way two people look at each other, the way they truly listen, or how their eyes gradually soften as they get to know one another. Seo In Guk and Park Ji Hyun make everything feel incredibly natural. They don't come across as two characters forced together by the script; instead, they feel like two adults slowly finding their way into each other's lives.

I especially love how the drama builds a slow-burn romance. It's never rushed, but it also never feels like it's dragging things out just to fill episodes. Kang Si Woo and Cha Ji Yoon's relationship grows through small but meaningful moments. One quietly recognizes the other's abilities when everyone else only notices the mistakes. The other gradually brings warmth back into his life, helping him smile more and slowly teaching him that it's okay to lean on someone. There are no grand confessions or unrealistic fairy-tale moments—just quiet support, mutual understanding, and genuine respect. Ironically, it's those ordinary moments that make their love story feel so extraordinary.

That's exactly why this couple gives me butterflies. They don't rely on exaggerated romantic scenes to make your heart race. Instead, it's the lingering eye contact, the subtle gestures of care, and the gradual emotional growth between them that make their relationship so captivating. Their chemistry isn't something that explodes instantly—it's something that quietly grows stronger with every episode. To me, they have one of the most mature, comforting, and believable chemistries I've seen in a K-drama rom-com in a long time.

The misunderstandings aren’t really misunderstandings, or they get resolved fast. He supports her in her career, bringing her passion to life again. she makes him smile and understands him. what’s not to love, they’re good looking and great actors. it’s a great drama for unwinding after a work day and watching a heart fluttering show, it’s giving Because This is My First Life. Waiting for next episode!!!

Even the second couple is entertaining, it’s different and young—opposite from the main couple. The leads are so attractive, I’m loving this show very much so far. 11/10 omg I’m looking forward to Mondays & Tuesdays again.

I'm so into mature drama these days, Filing for Love was the last drama I watched, and I'm so happy I watched this drama. Already tired of lovey dovey school dramas.
