Shin I-Rang (Yoo Yeon-Seok) is a lawyer. After he opened his own law office in the former home of a shaman, he has begun to see ghosts. Despite having a reliable appearance, he is actually timid and clumsy. Against his will, ghost clients, holding unfair grievances, come to him. Meanwhile, Han Na-Hyun (Esom) is a hot shot lawyer with a 100% success rate at a big law firm. Winning cases is the only thing that matters to her. She has risen to the top of her field with her cold and ruthless approach to work, but, one day, she loses a trial to Shin I-Rang. This changes her life.

At first, she completely distrusts him as he talks about the ghosts that he can see. Yet, with his sincerity and bizarre cases that unfold in front of her eyes, she slowly opens her mind to him. With their distinct abilities, Shin I-Rang and Han Na-Hyun solve cases together.

A kid bullied all the time finally fights back and cause he is holding a brick he goes to Juvenile Hall? Seriously? Does not seem fair or right.

Yoo Yeon-Seok was in top shape here, it was so much fun to watch him whenever he was "out of character", if you know what I mean ! Wonderful cast, a lot of funny moments. I've expected the last case to be a little longer as the big finale, but I have no complaints either.

There are a few things some people might call goof or mistake, for example (this isn't really a spoiler) if a ghost talks to their family member directly. Also the Father is there and suddenly gone and then back again. It's a fantasy drama and they handled these scenes really well! I personally would have done things different, too, if it was me in the drama, I would get a GPS tracking app and other things in case I would not be myself ;)

I have finished the drama with a smile on my face, and as I've stated in my intro line: I'd like to watch a 2nd season !

Jillibean May 07 2026 5:08 am The first true masterpiece level Korean drama of 2026 so far, the script of Phantom Lawyer is original and addictive, and both the lead performances and support performances are brilliant. Combining a legal drama with surreal ghost stories was a brilliant concept by the writers. The drama is apparently a huge hit in 25 countries as of my writing. Once I started watching it I could see why. Don't miss this one, folks!

They take over the main lawyer in the story and provide clues to him about how he can solve their murder cases in exceptional ways, with exceptional clarity, beating out the competition. Even by episode two I was moved to tears ... which rarely happens with me after watching over 1400 Korean dramas over 20 years! lol Kudos to all cast and crew.

Rei An May 03 2026 12:02 am I like the series, though fantastical, it was entertaining. The actors are good, and their guests as well. There are times I cried, especially when the ghosts are bidding their farewells. (at least, they get to really rest in peace)

A drama that makes me mixed up, laughing, awkward, sad, basically all because of this drama. Yeonseok oppa's acting is very good, he is very cool can bring all the different characters. then Esom, she is also cool. and Yeonseok's brother-in-law, he is very funny. every case. I like all of them. but the one I like the most is in episode 1. Heo Sung Tae's ghost. he is very funny haha.. and also my guess is right that his father's case will be in the episode before the ending. I was moved and sad. Choi Wonyoung's acting as a good father is very good. I like it. It's a shame why it has to end? Can't there be a season 2?

Chooozi May 02 2026 11:58 am Finished the series; it was a nice watch overall; some stuff were questionable but overall, a cute and wonderful show for sure (hilarious especially for the first few episodes; Reallly heartwarming too. Would recommend to watch.

Side note: Choi Won-Young plays a really good role as a father. I remember him from Twinkling Watermelon and Mystic Pop-up Bard where he does the same. He fits those roles beautifully and always so heartwarming when he shows up with those roles as well as how fun he can be like in Mystic Pop-up Bar! Looking forward to more of his shows! The cast did amazing too, congratz to you all!

Ghost ? Apr 30 2026 5:10 am At first started strong...but the story became so expected and boring..YYS character as lawyer is mediocre. My expectations was a different Lawyer who is smart, reliable, Phantom and not a push over. I'm struggling to finished it.. Esom chemistry with YYS is mediocre . The good things is don't focus on the their romance. I hope the remaining episodes will more related in his title. That's all.

Riri Apr 28 2026 7:01 am I like this series but of course there are flaws. One being, Is there no other friggin law firm aside from Taebaek? They could have had multiple other law firms and guested good actors or actors close to YYS to make it more plausible.

Shin I-diot Apr 27 2026 7:17 am I-Rang should change his name to Shin-I-Diot. Usually he is always objective, wanting to know the truth from the perspective of his client's ghost. But in his father's case, he didn't even try to find out from his father's side. What a stupid lawyer.

There aint much that differentiate this from the former, except possible romance with FL + daddy's issue. Me think OMGClient+JKH is a better series if I really have to pick and can only watch one. (I do like YYS on variety/other series/show).

King A Apr 19 2026 2:33 pm All the child actors especially in Episode 12 are so good (Lee A-Rin and the ghost kid) I enjoyed watching them.

I just sighted the kidnapped kid in episode 12 he is the same kid who played little Prince I-An in Perfect Crown episode 4. That child actor is super cute and a good actor too, as he was crying, he brought me to tears when he was slapped by his father.

King A Apr 19 2026 2:16 pm Yoo Yeon-Seok has delivered again. He made me laugh, cried, brought out different emotions in me just watching him... like seriously he is so diverse, see how he connects with the children, he is so genuine; what an amazing actor!

Great cast, kudos to everyone. Episode 12 brought me to tears. Well crafted plot, each cases is backed up with beautiful stories and heartfelt moments. Very engaging, It's a must watch. I can't wait for the next episode

The ML is doing a marvellous job here, and all the supporting actors are extremely credible as well. Please don’t tarnish this show by comparing it to that gross piece.

Ellie Apr 18 2026 11:01 pm Yoo Yeon Seok is the most incredible actor, so diverse. I knew he was good from his previous roles, but this is on another level. He moves from drama to perfectly-timed comedy to melodrama or romance effortlessly. Also good writing and direction for such a daft plot line! Kim Mi Kyung as his Mum and Jun Suk Ho son in law great supports. Mi Kyung always great. Esom has done better than I expected as an unlikely FL. I don’t do supernatural as a rule, but this time I’m hooked as it’s so well crafted and delivered and totally hilarious too, we know they know we all know it’s a spoof.

Ellie Apr 15 2026 9:10 am I’m watching this for Lee Yeon Seok, great talented gorgeous actor, Mr Sunshine, When the Phone Rings, and Kim Mi Kyung acting his mother. Whenever she is cast, the drama always turns out well, so I have high hopes for this one. I know Esom too, hope she can manage the part. Don’t usually like supernatural, but because of the cast let’s give it a red hot go! 2026 needs a winner.

What a great drama. I hope to see Yoo Yeon Seok winning awards for this role. It is a tough one and he is nailing it!

DD. Apr 11 2026 12:55 pm I really enjoy watch this series! For 8 episodes, I think the story line is good written, every characters have their own dynamic and very well supported a main lead. The ghosts are not jump scared. I love the detail of their's flashback memory and the acceptance when they acheived a need. Also love line is slow-burned, it is enemy to lover type. If you love this kind of relationship, I want you to watch and enjoy.

Kdrama expert Apr 10 2026 2:26 pm We still have seven episodes left, but I think I-Rang’s father’s case is somehow connected to Na-Hyun’s older sister’s death. My guess is that Do-Gyeong was the real culprit. His father then tried to protect him by using someone else as a scapegoat, and separately framed I-Rang’s father when he started trying to reveal the truth.

Chooozi Apr 05 2026 12:06 am For episode 8, I found it a bitter feeling when Han Na-Hyun was not supporting Shin I-Rang when he was accused of starting a fight with the school kids. I was hoping that after how episode 7 ended, she would see him in a much better light, but she just attacks him in episode 8 instead with doubt and a rude attitude. That just felt awful from how it lead to a wholesome transition in episode 7. Anyhow, let's see how it goes for the next set of episodes, and hoping she is much kinder and supportive to him instead.

VL Mar 31 2026 10:08 pm @Andrea, I'm like you, the list of dramas you mentioned are also the dramas that I dare not watch because I'm afraid of horror. However, for this Phantom Lawyer, so far I've watched all 6 episodes all alone without any fear. Mainly because the ghosts here do not appear ugly or monstrous (they still look like normal human although the makeup makes their skin tone appear much fairer), another reason is because the production team also add on humorous touch to the scenes in between, making it funny and hilarious. I would say if this is your first time trying out this kind of drama, it's a good starter. Maybe you will get a very small jump scare in the first episode but it's nothing heavy or horrific, neither will it give you nightmare. I suggest you just try to watch ep1 first to see if it is generally acceptable to your standard. Who knows, you might end up enjoying it. I do like this drama

I really like to watch this but I can't handle even the tiniest jump scare, even the drama is a romcom. For reference, I didn't watch Master's Sun, Korean Odyssey, Hotel del Luna, All of us are dead and many more because I'm weak. So can anyone please tell me..thank you.

Gotta say, first time I ever check who the writers for a show are and they are Kim Ga-Young and Kang Chul-Kyu; Really love what they have done for this show so far. It has been full-on captivated and full-on immersion with this show. Can't wait for the next episode

Loving it to bits and pieces. Start is fantastic and very grippy. Not to mention, male lead is easy on eyes and extremely handsome. Added bonus point to watch the series. Don’t miss out guys.

He and his family & the priest along with the ghost-client-dad from Ep.1 & 2 are all very good & memorable. FL has a heart and her own story which will take time to unfold. I can't wait for ML to start dancing or being like a high school female performer as per the ghost-client of Ep.3. This is off to a very good start. Very good project.
