After watching Yumi's Cells (which I adored), it was like going back to the same-old idea of older dramas, without any warmth and wit. I stopped at Episode 6, so who knows: it might get better - but from this experienced K-Drama fan, it is a NO! And that "funny" nod to Business Proposal actually only made me realize, how much more I enjoyed that series... Better watch Samdal-Ri or ChaChaCha, if you are looking! By the way, is it me or are Korean FL (not all!) looking more and more like plastic dolls? Bonus Jun 03 2026 12:18 am The best Korean I watched for past 3 years. I don’t know why they have not good reviews? I love everything about this ✨ Leo Jun 02 2026 7:07 am I understand why the ratings were bad. Even though it has a good premise and story, but the male lead character was made with too much cynical attitude, at some point it's ruined to romcom nuance of this drama. I think this is purely in the wrongs of the director. Saranghae May 28 2026 5:00 pm Don't you think it's a bit exaggerated that during the meetings when he brings her medicine, she just says "thank you" and leaves? I mean, their collaborative relationship doesn't allow for a "how are you? how have you been? how was your day? I appreciate the gesture of traveling all the way to Seoul" Come on, that was really exaggerated on the part of the director, this is my opinion. Dian Marr May 28 2026 3:36 pm We watch a lot of Korean series. This was the Best! Definitely a 10 Joey D May 27 2026 9:09 pm So random question. Does anyone know where the floral print pants Eric wears in the episode with the village contest? Love the show but I am constantly dreaming about those pants lol. mike May 27 2026 3:09 am at first it was good but the producer, scriptwriter and director must writing the plot while high in drugs. they kept introducing unnecessary twist into it that the whole drama feel frustrated to watch. it also becoming unwatchful with all this twist. Avi May 25 2026 12:12 pm I think people forget that trauma, and any trauma-related matter more generally, is going to be complicated to deal with. Whatever happened to you with one person will, very often, ricochet onto other people unknowingly. Yejin's issues with her mom will inevitably cause her to disconnect from people - hell, she feels abandoned and finds it hard to reach out when it feels like everyone is agaisnt her, no matter how hard people try and that resonates so hard with me who went through something akin to that myself. It's not just as easy as moving on with your life when it feels like it was never yours to begin with. It's ahrd to live a life that was made to feel like it wasn't built on nothing at all - and Yejin's slow discovery is part of that process of trying to find what is best for HER to do. And for the ML, I see that he's been through SO much as well and Ep. 9 reveals exactly that. Trauma manifests, affects, and appears differently for everyone - and coping does too, even if the unabashedly holier-than-thou think otherwise. I see no problem with how the story is handling trauma this way, and I think it's an opportunity for people to take off those weird ass thoughts that moving on is THAT easy. P.S. If y'all just wanna say it sucked, say it sucked and tune out - no reason to try and veil it with some pseudo-psychoanalysis. Mel May 24 2026 3:37 pm The drama does not teach good values to young people... female lead drawn to get attention from a mother who abandoned her when she was a child and , denies her existence so that she protect her movie career while on the other hand, the female lead totally is rude and inconsiderate to her father who is always at her side , cooks for her, checks on her etc... she cold shoulders him and even throws the food he prepares ( what a waste )... not worth watching .... I hope they give a better role to Kim Bum next time ! Bibi May 21 2026 10:44 am Agree with Kim and Feiz below. Non-sensical. Feiz May 20 2026 10:45 am Initially, I enjoyed watching the series, but it became increasingly tedious halfway through. The drama explicitly portrays the image of an arrogant, foolish man who lacks appreciation for women. This repetitive and unappealing storyline ultimately made the series highly off-putting. I would rate it a 1 out of 10 and not worth watching. Floyd May 18 2026 9:13 pm @Garagin Hell nah dude she is a kid Kimchehhh May 17 2026 3:52 am I dont get the FL characters and her drama with her mom. During night she kept calling her mum’s phone number and trying to tell her everything but when she’s face to face with her mum (which she didnt avoid or shunned her away) and all she gotta do is find issue and raising their old story with her. Can t she just get rid of her mum and move on and just find solace with her dad who protects her at all costs???! And she kinda a pushy girl too?????? Garagin May 16 2026 4:43 am Why did jinyi blame the shopping network girl for the advertising? The inventor was right next to her lol. She got completely blinded by love xd. The dude has zero win rate because both launches of his mushroom failed, despite his years of isolation in the village lmao. And it's weird because in every botched release, this lucky mustard gets a new crush. Garagin May 16 2026 2:22 am no way a mushroom could do that, does she have herpes or what? ThisIsnotfrench May 14 2026 9:52 am The show is cute and quirky, albeit with some lacklustre plot carried by the comedic abilities of its acting and the chemistry of the cast. BUT everyone who speaks french beware - this shows interpretation/version of french is even worse and more offensive than the french in Love Next Door. And whats worse is that we have multiple cast members trying their worst at "french" in this show. I'm not sure why Kdramas insist on having their actors use foreign languages that they cannot speak. The characters in question here are supposed to be french-korean citizens who have spend their childhood growing up in france yet they can't even pronounce anything in french. Either use actors that actually speak foreign languages to cast in roles that require foreign languages or change the script so that their inability to speak a specific language can be explained away (like if they speak mandarin or english then give them a background from countries where they speak that language) Pentalobe May 13 2026 11:35 am 5 episodes left and I feel there are going to be five couples noho May 08 2026 11:53 am I was left on cliffhanger on episode 6. I am so sadddd, i want to know what happens. SillyValley May 08 2026 12:22 am Clink…tinkle…shatter…my heart breaking when I realize that Kim Beom is going to be the second lead for certain. Loving his bright, thoughtful character; he approaches Ye Jin slowly, gently, no pressure. And his megawatt smiles…Sigh. rara May 07 2026 10:49 pm Honestly,I didn't have any expectations at first because I just wanted to find a healing drama while eating. So I didn't judge anything because I loved the village vibes. At the same time, I wasn't that excited for a new episode. But, now it's getting fun, can't wait to see how their relationship develops. Well, now I enjoy watching it. This might not be everyone's cup of tea and it's fine. Lorena May 07 2026 9:48 pm I am enjoying this drama. I love the female and male leads; they have good chemistry, are both very endearing, and play their roles well. They are also both very good looking. The ensemble cast members are great. I don't remember Kim Bum playing a character like this before, and I think he is doing it convincingly. I am hoping for good things to happen to his character. I really like the soundtrack. I look forward to this show every week. Becss May 07 2026 9:05 pm What a yawn! Silly storyline with lazy writing. Cast is alright but I feel for the actors having to try and act in this limp nonsensical KDrama. However the music is awesome! Chloeee May 07 2026 6:16 pm I'm surprised I'm in the minority of really liking and enjoying this drama. It's cute and a good one to watch simply for the plot of love. Could do without the ptsd but whatevs. I don't get what peeps are saying about the FL's mouth but I'm shocked no one is mentioning that she's basically a skeleton?? She's sooooo thin! Like it's almost scary... Love this drama though!! Chloe May 07 2026 3:48 pm Well, i really like it from ep4. I think the topic of being a career oriented woman who overworks herself, cannot sleep and only see value of her life in work is very close to me. And what can I say, shall I move to the Korean village? Haha. Anyway, first 3 eps were weird but then unexpectedly we have some nice development. Kudos J May 07 2026 12:07 pm Please stick with this drama - it gets good from ep4 onwards. The first three episodes could have/should have been wrapped up in a maximum of 2 episodes. Once Dam Ye Jin (Chae Won-Bin) calms down (i.e., not being really loud) the drama becomes really good, as does the story between her and Ahn Hyo-Seop's character starts to develop. F May 04 2026 5:15 am I was excited to watch this because of Kim Beom. Ahn Hyo-seop was good too. But the FL, for me, I can't understand her situation when she become unconscious.. I think it looks exagerrated that she didn't know what she's doing.. because of what? I can't connect to her feelings. So I dropped it. you rght May 03 2026 11:57 pm sorry this didn't work, AHS is too high in every aspect and the female cast can't keep up, seems like there was a mistake in casting, there are still many female casts who could accompany AHS Sanna May 01 2026 4:39 pm I don’t even know where to start with this one because what the hell was that. This had so much potential — great cast, decent setup, and Ahn Hyo-seop looking like THAT — and somehow they still managed to fumble it by making the female lead one of the most insufferable characters I’ve watched in a while. There’s a difference between “quirky and persistent” and “actively ignoring boundaries, common sense, and basic human decency,” and she sprinted past that line at full speed. Trespassing, harassment, refusing to take no for an answer, physically invading personal space, and then having the audacity to act like *she’s* the victim? Be serious. And the worst part? The show keeps treating this behavior like it’s cute or funny. It’s not. It’s exhausting. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because in her calmer moments she’s actually likeable, but every time she interacted with Matthew it turned into a full-blown “how far can we push this before the audience loses their mind” experiment. Spoiler: not very far. The phone calls I could excuse. Everything else? Absolutely not. Final straw was her yelling at her dad for bringing her food. That was the moment I realized I don’t like her enough to sit through another minute of this. Ahn Hyo-seop, I’m so sorry. You did your best. But not even your face can carry a show when I actively dread seeing one of the main characters on screen. Dropped at episode 3 with zero regrets. Cute i pie May 01 2026 10:52 am Each time you read comments, you'll find people who like It the most, or hate it, or just consider it so so. You'll learn that their thoughts don't matter to you, so just try it yourself. People have their own taste after all. Yours matters for yourself. J May 01 2026 8:31 am Episodes 1-3 should have been 2 episodes - episode 4 was so good. I hope it continues like this. Faye May 01 2026 4:57 am The story itself is solid, but the lead actress makes it hard to sit through. Her acting feels overdone, and there’s just no real chemistry with the lead actor. Sanji Apr 30 2026 11:39 pm People can say whatever they want, but I’m genuinely having a good time with this drama. I find it really enjoyable. I don’t understand why the female lead gets so much hate — she fits the role well, she’s beautiful and charming, and she has great chemistry with the male lead. Their dynamic makes the story feel sweet and engaging. Yes, the plot is familiar, but for me it’s comforting and fun to watch. Everyone has different tastes. If I don’t like a drama — whether it’s the leads, the story, or anything else — I simply stop watching. It saves me the stress of getting annoyed. So if you decide to watch this one, just enjoy it for what it is. Azale Apr 30 2026 11:16 pm I guess I'm in the minority since I'm loving this show. I think both of the leads are doing a great job, and I'm loving their chemistry. Moon Apr 30 2026 7:12 am The FL is already annoying, but the scene with her dad was where I was like okay I’m done, I can’t watch this anymore. I don’t get why she still wants her mom when the mom clearly abandoned her lol, and the whole calling the ‘mom’ number thing doesn’t even make sense. mushrooms Apr 30 2026 3:01 am the ML is probably connected to the product that was recalled that made the FL not do cosmetics products again isn't he? I feel like the pacing is kinda slow, perhaps not a lot of things is happening in the storyline so they have to drag it a little but it's only 12 episodes, hope it gets better, I'm not dropping it yet since I'm just keeping it in the background while I keep myself productive with chores Neo Apr 29 2026 10:22 pm Wdym female lead is irritating i like the way she is thats why im watching this show why dont you shut your mouth if you dont know about dramas very dissappointing Kdrama lover Apr 29 2026 6:21 pm I tried watching but after Ep 3, I have to drop it. The FL is getting on my nerves with her nonstop screaming and the story line with her mother is so cliched. Kdrama fan Apr 29 2026 11:21 am This drama is not that good. Lots of situations that doesn't make sense. Really just watching it for the 2 ML. K Apr 24 2026 11:56 am If you like this drama, you should try to watch ‘Brewing Love’ plot’s somehow similar and Sejeong’s the FL there ?? ben Apr 24 2026 11:22 am the first episode really make me annoyed especially when the drug things. now days kdrama trying to make it look like a hollywood vibes but failed. the plot just an average but i think the big problem is how the directing execution. still curious why still easy get the audience on netfilx. people too easy to romance comedy kdrama. Ganda Apr 23 2026 4:44 am Is kim bum 2nd lead for this drama??? cgqsatow Apr 23 2026 3:42 am Kim Bum ...i have waited this drama to watch kim bum... Aliaa Oct 12 2025 5:50 am I can't wait for it!!!!
