Wan-Soo (Kim Ha-Neul) reached the top of her sport as a golf player. Dreaming of having a perfect life within the upper class, she marries the successor of the Hwain Group. Now, Wan-Soo works as the chairperson for a foundation and has gained worldwide fame through her charity work. She has Do-Yoon (Rain) as her new bodyguard. Do-Yoon, who graduated from the police university, excels in the martial arts. He joined the Hwang Group's security team for a specific reason. Through her bodyguard, Wan-Soo faces a secret of the Hwain Family.

I think it helps folks understand the story best if they've been married awhile and understand that marriage is not all that it's cracked up to be in real life (shhhh!). Rain and Kim Haneul had great chemistry together and all the supporting cast did well too. Definitely recommended!

Jamse Aug 03 2024 1:29 pm I like this drama, but the hero does some really dumb things such as in ep 8 where during a battle with an assassin he (SPOLIERS) Proceeds to fling two knives into the walkway point down, where of course the assassin grabs one and promptly cuts him, as opposed to, I don’t know, dropping them into the ocean underneath the walkway?

Kdramacritique Aug 03 2024 12:46 pm Just finished watching the series. It came strong on the first few episodes but as it reaches the 5th up to the ending, it became very boring. First, the FL lacks expressions. Her character felt so weak. It was Rain who carried the series. It couldve been written and executed properly but I think the writer got lost in the middle. The aeries had so much potential but unfortunately, the script went astray somewhere in the middle. I’m rating this 4/10.

     Its one of those special dramas that you can watch when it is peaceful.

I wish it was more than 10 episodes, Disney+ did the same thing with Blood Free earlier this year, and just ended it on a hanging note...I hope kdrama does better, some dramas don't deserve the long 16 episodes why some do, but they got them all mixed up. For example this drama deserves 16 episodes, we deserve to see more chemistry with Seo Doyeon and Director Oh ?? This drama deserves a very high rating and awards too

Kwon_owen Jul 28 2024 2:49 am The drama I have been totally immersed after Chief Detective 1958. Rain really nailed his role. Soo good with action scenes! Every episode was well executed. Too bad it's a limited series (only 10 episodes). This is one kind of drama that deserves more episodes than other dramas that are overrated and lame storyline and acting. Red Swan should have 2nd season.

Jillibean Jul 27 2024 2:51 am Kim Ha Neul hasn't aged one day since I first saw her in the original film Ditto in 2000. Amazing. She must have discovered the fountain of youth. Rain looks slightly older but still phenomenally attractive. I wish this was longer than ten episodes but I will continue to enjoy it through repeat watches in the future.

Actually if tae-ra is not that bad in thr story *idk yet* i really want her a good ending too, her son deserve a good life TT I love the bodyguard trope, as well as K2. In episode 8, Youngkook made me feel a little bad for him. JUST A LITTLE, he was messed up and he realise it too lateee. I agree with @may tho. ALSO!! The song "we are" from Law School. The hugging and all, in the real world you dont give them the reason to find fault in you, she knows they are being watched and is careless. Dropping the knife in an intense fight is unrealistic. That's a killer in front of you. ? Well that's how it was written. But I enjoyed watching. I like Rain?

Hope Do-Yoon will kill Lee Jin (Mr Han's bodyguard-killer) in Ep 9.

Of course it's not an excuse of his actions, but imagine if he grew up in a better environment or if there was someone for him growing up, like his dad, or an aunt/uncle. But yeah. Their "love story" would have been cute, I meant the start, but yeah, he's a womanizer, again, trauma. It's too late for him to change. Anyways,.good performance from the actor. Also maybe unpopular opinion but I don't like Wansoo & Doyoon to end up together. She should be free from the family, he should get justice from his friend and that's it, live their own lives.

It a movie you don't have to predict it but you can only make assumptions the writter may change it their feelings may work and also may not work but whatever happen I'm happy with it because he make it tense ?

Most people have been comment that the writer is writing the same script as blood free movie so please just leave the writer alone let him write what he want ? and enjoy it remember it just entertainment ?

Fyfy Jul 15 2024 12:21 am I don’t get what people are saying about this drama but so far do 1 to 4 I’m loving the drama cos it’s not boring and I should no that cos I don’t get past episode 3 of most over rated dramas. These days Korean dramas do not meet the standard it has kept so I just find my self rewatching old dramas. But so far this is good it might be slow but good cos I’ve not gotten angry yet.

ciska Jul 13 2024 6:06 am love both the main leads, but feel the chairwoman is a bit too much. her acting still needs to be polished. love the first 4 eps. the chemistry between the 2 main leads hasn't taken off yet, that's why they are still too awkward. will be waiting for it anyway, i find it overall ok - but still on the slow side

Boo Jul 11 2024 4:17 am Well, after 4 episodes, I can say that this is not an outstanding show. It's not a Disney+ level. The writing is predictable and dull. We should be thrillingly wait week after week because of the chemistry between the two main lead, but I don't feel it. Rain is good, but to me Kim Ha-Neul is sometimes emotionless. I didn't like her in Nothing Uncovered too, truth to be told her role wasn't so well written either (that is why I couldn't finish the whole series). Sometimes it feels like a korean soap opera, for example in the ending of episode 1 when Oh Wan-Soo meeting with Seo Do-Yoon the bodyguard, than she just turn around and look away. I mean come on. It's not a Blood Free 2.0, I liked that show very much and waiting for season 2, but this is nothing like that. There's no chemistry, excitements, interesting backstory or freshness. I'm sorry the only good thing to look and hear is Rain. Oh and that Chairwoman Park, can someone please just slap her really hard, it's so annoying, maybe that put her in her place.

Stiff bodyguard who good at fighting, dont speak too much and got his own agenda to uncover the truth of his dead friend. Rain in red swan and ju ji hoon in blood free both are bodyguard which i find the character to be very similiar.

Also the female ceo, independent, tough and pretty much stubborn. Kim ha neul in red swan and han hyo joo in blood free both are female ceo and people tried to kill them.

The character feels so much similiarity. The vibe of the drama, the characteristic of both leads and some how the way the image capture in the series really feels similiar.

Why making 2 similiar drama in such a short time? Blood free is in February 2024 if im not mistaken, and Red Swan in July 2024? Just 3 months gap of both series. :/

Kim Ha Neul’s the perfect one to lead this kind of drama. First time to watch Rain, and he got me glued at his bodyguard stint because he truly nailed it. It’s just the second episode and more episodes to go and I can’t wait to run through it all.

Plus, loved the City of Dreams setting, and the vulnerable drunken state of the FL, alone with her bodyguard. Chemistry starts to simmer and I am looking forward for the boiling part.

Ly Jul 07 2024 11:20 am So far, I'm disappointed by the 2 episodes. All the annoying cliches in kdrama are there: toxic mother-in-law, unfaithful husband, the "wanna-be wife" friend of the FL. If I have to watch a bodyguard dram, I'll re-watch Blood Free. It's way better in terms of plot, no romance but you can't help but "ship" the leads because of their intense chemistry.
