Nam Han-Jun (Seo In-Guk) is a former criminal profiler, who now works as a fraudster. For his scams, he disguises himself as a fortune teller and runs the fortune teller shop Minamdang. He attracts customers with his attractive physical appearance and smooth talking skills. He scams his customers for money, but he also gets involved in their cases and helps solve them. He even provides customer service for his clients. Nam Han-Jun's partners are Su-Cheol and Nam Hye-Jun. Su-Cheol runs a private detective agency and Nam Hye-Jun is Nam Han-Jun’s younger sister. She is an elite hacker.

Han Jae-Hui (Oh Yeon-Seo) has worked as a detective for 3 years. She is enthusiastic about her job and tries to follow a righteous path. Somehow, Han Jae-Hui gets involved with Nam Han-Jun.

Jay Apr 20 2025 10:07 am I really hate the FL, not the actress, the character, the way she behaves and handles the case she would've been fired a long time ago, whoever did her make up either tried to recreate Kim Hye Soo's make up that she had on Signal or really hated her, either way I knew the makeup looked familiar, when they mentioned Signal I knew why it did, they probably tried but her face is not made for it.

The acting was great, a real meh tbh, when I saw Do-Won I immediately had bad vibes about him and I was right, what I hate is that I really found his character similar to Han Seok in Vincenzo idk why, probably because they both act the same (except the childish part), both of the love the FL, have a beef with the ML, etc.

It really feels like they tried to put those two series and grab two characters, I could be wrong though.

Speccy Jan 05 2025 3:01 am Sloppy cop comedy? The female lead/cop was written so badly... like a keyboard-cop, someone who learned to police via reading Twitter. She kept getting schooled by the male lead. He told her, "You have to check the suspect's alibi." Her expression after hearing that was like "omg really?!". Pretty sure that's step 1 in the book, Cop for Dummies.

The romance felt forced too and didn't make sense...

This is definitely a turn-your-brain-off and I-have-nothing-else-to-watch drama.

Annie Oct 12 2024 6:42 pm I just finished the series and I loved it. It's hilarious and has a great plot. Like, i did Not foresee that ending (the main bad guy unmasking). The romance amongst the main characters was a side plot but was developed really well. It's definitely worth watching. That is, if you're looking for something quirky and hilarious but with a really great plot.

Not going to blame the actress, Oh Yeon-Seo, because it could be the way the FL character is written. If that be the case then the writers blew it because she is beyond annoying and adds nothing to the storyline except make the viewers want to throw in the towel.

Raw acting of that chin-ny Jae hui. All she can act out is to widen eyes and repeat lines hahaha. Really poor acting, the sister is “betterly” best

Hmm Nov 01 2023 10:48 am Nahh not for me, i hate how sometimes stupid the character are, or how sucheol makes that weird noise& expression when he 'lies' or when the FL expression when ML is arrested for killing, like be fr, by just looking at the blood pattern, it could be debunked at that given moment that ML didn't kill the shaman. The love story maigod, i didn't like any at all, i always skip it. the only think that keep me going is watching the ML deduce his client using his profiling capabilities

Rye Sep 14 2023 5:43 am I was worried if the humour would make me cringe, but it's bearable and entertaining. The mystery part hooked me the most. The plot twist was nice. As someone who reads crime mystery novels and watches crime mystery shows, I definitely didn't see that coming. Good show.

Aria Sep 14 2023 5:29 am 1st episode started out great. They made the female lead look as someone who was really good at her job. Unfortunately, it ended in the 1st episode. The rest of the series she just become an incompetent police officer who keeps foiling male lead's investigationand getting in everyone's way. It became annoying at some point. Cafe staff are very funny. Antagonist is veerrrry obvious. Did they even try to hide it at all. Overall, I give it 6/10.

Chinnie Jul 09 2023 11:41 am I haven't commented for a while but because of this great kdrama I think I need to do so,this kdrama is so so good,I loved everything about it,then about the hidden gopuri,I suspected it earlier but it seems the producer found out that everybody will know who the gopuri is so they kinda twisted it,at first I was like what is the handsome prosecutor doing there,smtin is fishy,if he is all good until the ending.and about our profiler he did a great job.its a must watch.

amazing Jun 21 2023 12:21 am Amazing show I got hooked on the plot of the shaman using profiling to help his clients and then stumbled on the comedy in the show. I found the show almost like a thriller and the small comedy like bits really fit into the show due to the characters personalities. I have not watched many Korean series besides this and somebody. But this cast as well as the premise of the show leaves me wanting more. One of the best series I've watched in a long.

That Girl Jun 09 2023 12:03 pm I completed this drama after dropping it months ago at episode 11. I decided to finish it just for the sake of it. I really enjoyed it at the beginning but watching it eventually became a task. Really loved the cast, the comedic elements and so was the set. However, some of the characters came off as overacting, certain scenes felt forced and just difficult to sit through, the story didn't always apply logic which at times was just insulting and it was longer than it needed to be,12 episodes would have sufficed.

All in all, it can be a fun watch but difficult to binge. To enjoy it more I suggest you adjust your expectations.

Seo In Guk, Kwak Si Yang, Kang Mina (love her!!!) and Baek Seo Hoo saved the entire series!! They pulled it all off! The police crew are also great actors. This series deserved a better female lead.

Terry Mar 25 2023 12:06 pm I am on episode 11 after leaving episode 9 for months, and I am trying to make my way through it because I really like the ml. But at this point, him and his crew are the only good things about the series. The fl is ridiculous and the timeline doesn't make sense. She was supposed to be coming out of high school or something at the time her brother died and she possibly had a huge crush on the ml then he went to jail and she aged 20+ years. Now she is what 40-something or just looks 40+. (Her skin is really bad!) (And that lip thing! ew) She looks like she is always pouting, it's annoying. And she isn't a good detective at all. It's pretty bad. But the shaman scenes are really good. The supporting female actress is still really pretty.

I always suspected that prosecutor cha as gopuri, I dunno something is kinda off about him. Especially when they showed the flashback of prosecutor han Homicide, I felt like it was prosecutor cha who did it.

Jiso Nov 30 2022 8:16 pm I was really excited when I saw that Oh Yeonseo is the female lead in here, but im very disappointed tbh... her character is so annoying. As a detective, she has zero intuition, she's stiff af, she was thinking so simple and shalow it was sad to watch, not clever at all but acting like she's the only one doing the best job, and knows everything. The way that Jaehee behave was beyond my patience. It was so irritating when I saw her on the screen, she ruined almost every episode of the drama for me. This drama have a potential, but Han Jaehee was killing it by her stupidity and audacity. The plot is interesting, we have unsloved mystery from the past and it would be way much better if only Nam Hanjun and his Minamdang crew was doing all the investigation. This is the first time im posting a comment about drama that ive watched, cause i am still very irritated by female lead. Oh Yeonseo is great actress, I love her acting in Hwayugi, and I regret that her character got destroyed like that. Such a shame...

I liked the overall plot. It was fun and not to be taken too seriously.

But what I really hated was some of the scriptwriting and inconsistency in acting. To be honest, this comes down to both the director and the scriptwriters. Why did they make Su-Cheol mentally challenged? It was very frustrating. In fact, Su-Cheol becomes more and more mentally challenged as the series progressed. The spastic way his hands moved when he was being kissed..... The way he patted Hye-Jun's head in the hospital (Ep.13) and the way he spoke to her as if he had a learning disability. Seriously, who thought this was a good idea?

Do they think that making fully capable people pretend to have a learning disability is funny? Its actually highly embarrassing, disrespectful and insulting to those of us who have worked with individuals who have real learning disabilities and all to just try and get a laugh. It was very uncomfortable and cringeworthy watching him act out his retarded scenes.

They could have made Su-Cheol a likeable but situationally incompetent side kick without the need for the disability artifice.

Female_human Aug 25 2022 1:54 am I love Oh Yeon-Seo, that's one of the reasons I watch this series but Han Jae-Hui character is so annoying to the point I despise the character. I find it very hard to root for her love line or justified her actions. If the character is this annoying I was hoping it leans more on the comedy side so she can be loved by the audience better.

Nam Han-Jun character is pretty bland and pretty basic.

Overall the mystery is meh, the romance is also meh. Comedy doesn't sticks so it felt awkward. I've seen worse so 4/10

However, I feel unsatisfied when it comes to romance. There was definitely not enough airtime for them. Comedy did not always convince me and sometimes excessive behavior spoiled my entertainment.

I think that Nam Han-Jun is going to kill Cha Do-won (ep18) because he doesnt have any other choice. It’s a “you kill oder you die” situation. Just like Auntie Im predicted. Probably after detective Han Jae-huin finds out that Cha Do-won faked everything & betrayed her. Once she gets to the scene she tells him (Nam Han-Jun) to run & they will have a safe place they’ll always meet. (Basically just like the end of Vicenzo) Of course it could still be that Cha do-won doesn’t die but gets a well deserved ending. Or he dies and Nam Han-Jun stayes free (because it was defense???) It makes me so mad (in a good way) because I was fooled by the producers even though I knew that this was the typical plot-twist for this drama. I’m proud that this wasn’t that predictable to me like it was for others because I kinda liked Cha Do-won and felt kinda sorry like I always do when it comes to SOME second leads.. But I take that back. Stillll he’s super hot… Why does he always have crazy rolls. Just like in Abyss… cant believe its soon over.

Gopuri sekhi Aug 15 2022 3:20 pm !!!Spoiler Alert!!! DO NOT WATCH WHILE LOOKING FOR JUST A REVIEW IT'S SPOILER...

From the very 1st episode onwards it's was so damn sure to me it that it was Prosecutor Cha Do Won who is gonna be the real Gopuri. Even the writter confused the whole audience by showing that the child with Aunty Im as his brother. It was clear when they almost caught Gu Tae Su nd it was Prosecutor Cha who said he almost caught him and escaped and when they showed that person wearing a full sleeve shirt as the culprit made me more sure that he itself is the Gopuri. And here I was waiting to show how they're gonna show his real identity.

In today's episode the scene where he says he saw his hyung strangling that kid seemed an utter lie to me when he said (maybe cuz I already had a doubt on him as gopuri) and I felt like Nam Han Jun too understood (maybe I think he got?) cuz he said sometimes the memory can change due to trauma. And it was he who was blackmailing his brother on that because even he doesn't knew who killed whom. But I have doubts on his brother cuz he is said to be a psychopath actually I have a doubt cuz he always gets angry bt didn't show as him making seriously injuries to anyone (but still in episode 15 did harm his subordinate with pen nd I felt as if it wasn't the first time). Anyway I have more doubt to clear so lets keep watching.

Actually this drama has everything in it. Idk why bt this drama was a bit too predictable (maybe I had already watched alot of them) to me bt it is a cool one...

Am I the only one that thinks the real killer is prosecutor Cha? Like even when Han Jun fought the killer when he killed his friend,you can see the killer is about 2 inches or so taller same as prosecutor Cha while the other guy they caught with the glasses is shorter. Also he always seems to be super invested in the case which I find odd. Like he was also the first person on the scene when her brother died and he was the one on that case. They are trying very hard to throw us off his scent but since like ep 3 I had my suspicions about him.

I think her character can be more charm if it more developed, dont blame her too much. Slightly romance scene was good and funny, waiting how far it will became. I even like Cha Do won despite everyone said he might be the culprit. The FL is the only one in the whole show that i despised so much. All she wants is to win at least once. Even though after many incidence that proves the ML is right, she still wants to win over him. 3 years ago was also partly her fault for pursuing CSY alone and was being impatient. And the latest ep, when she was trying to so-called protect ML, it still looked like she was actually doubting his intelligence when everythg he did should have proven how clever he is. I dont whether the writer purposely make her charater dumb or the actress herself could not make us empathize nor sympatize with her to understand her actions..i wanted to skip her scenes too but there are always crucial info in that scene..so i hv to endure it..but not sure until how long i can do that..aisshhh

And then on ep 6 when choi yeong seop being interrogated by han jae hui and the prosecutor, the time when prosecutor said the same dialogue as han jun, it was “the culprit must be like a savior to you” that make han jun, su cheol, and hye jun a lil bit shocked, then su cheol said to han jun “looks like prosecutor cha and you have something in common”. These two scenes made it a little bit obvious that cha do won has something to do with all the cases

With CSW, we haven’t seen him much but he is powerful so I’m thinking he might be mixed up in the mess.

They should do something about the FL, her character grows weaker every episode. She left a strong impression in the first episode, but failed to maintain that. They shouldn't have added FL. Even without her, the story will still be worth my time. I believe the guys in the cafe will do justice to the plot just fine.

Character Inconsistent Jul 13 2022 3:54 pm I liked the drama at first but seems going downhill fast starting from Ep 4 and 5. The characters are very inconsistent as in many of K-Dramas I have seen where the female lead kicks ass but turns into a stereotypical damsel in distress.

- The female lead is shown as super tough with years of martial arts training that took out a dozen gangsters in the first couple of episodes. Also shown when catching the sexual harassing pervert scene but she turned into a tofu in later episodes who cannot seem to defend herself even from one single offender. Pickup a crowbar against Choi Yeong-Seop ("patsy killer") and still gets beat up. Where is the super cop and speed?

- Male lead also suppose to have years of training as seen in first episode but he is also acting like a tofu. May be he is acting like Clark Kent for now, who knows.

- Male lead is a high school classmate (which is a big big deal in Korean society) of FL's brother and she does not know that or the story neglected. How did they (ML and child FL) get acquainted as shown in the beginning of the story?

- Why is that most Korean dramas depict Korean police as corrupt and inept? It is true that in Korea justice system is really bad? (I have read, being a Korean and reading MAJOR Korean newspapers, all you have to do is apologize and they will let you go. First time sex offenders are let go "because it is the first time child molester, because he is sorry and will not do it again") In many dramas, repeatedly the police investigators miss the fact and act like a buffoon.

Anyway, this is becoming a bit harder to watch. Writers should have stick to the story and not stray from the character too much. I hope this improves.

As for the song at the end of episode 4 @V... "we have to survive..."... it might be an original for the show that will be released soon. I like that many Korean Dramas do that.

Elle Jul 07 2022 8:20 am The show is is funny and the case is top tier. I have seen a change, recently, in the way women are written in dramas and it's been a good change. But I don't find the repeated law-breaking from the FL funny, and her telling his personal business which some may not be aware of.

Ep. 3, took it even further and I'm thinking, that's not funny, but scary. It's hard to go from funny to frustrating in a matter of seconds but dramas do pull it off. But also, why doesn't the ML have better security if he's doing all this shaman stuff?? They seem to be very techy but you get caught slipping too much.

Clearly the FL is great at her job so why write her as if she's also a law-breaker too. Mostly this worries because I'm not sure if the FL will use the info she finds on the ML against him, or if she's doing it because she has something unresolved with him. The latter I'd be okay with moreso than using something illegally obtained against someone.

The cast has good chemistry and I like the drama. I love all the little references they make and the FL entrance was so cool. Looking to see if the ML will stop scamming and go back to the legal side of things and if the FL and ML will resolve whatever happened years ago.

I already know by the time this drama ends, whatever I was feeling is gonna be wrapped up into a ball of emotions. It happens all the time lol

I thought both of them are of the same age and yes both main actors are born in '87 but the characters are not. I just don't buy that she's supposed in middle school while he's on the police academy, he doesn't age a day while she got older. And isn't he supposed to be in his 40's because of the age gap, and with her infamous work experience taking down higher ups at her old station or something like that, right? Maybe I'm reading way too much on that. Hyped for Mina tho, she look extra cute in this one.
