Kozue Fuyuki (Ryoko Shinohara) is a veteran guard at a detention center where pretrial detainees are held. She has lived a disciplined and honest life, with a sense of justice and responsibility. She has the trust of her boss and colleagues at work. Kozue Fuyuki meets Reiji Kusaka, who is charged with robbery and murder, at the detention center. Reiji Kusaka is a person who was heavily involved in a secret that Kozue Fuyuki holds. Their meeting affects their lives significantly. Meanwhile, Detective Yusuke Saeki is handling Reiji Kusaka's case and he also knows about Kozue Fuyuki's past. His life is also shaken by the meeting of Kozue Fuyuki and Reiji Kusaka. Eventually, Reiji Kusaka, with Kozue Fuyuki's help, attempts to break out of the detention center.
