Baek Kang-Hyuk (Ju Ji-Hoon) is a genius trauma surgeon who has performed surgeries in conflict zones around the world. He is confident in his abilities and has a bulldozer like personality when he thinks he is doing the right thing. He begins to work at a university hospital and leads the severe trauma team there. The severe trauma team is a double edged sword for the university hospital. This is because as the severe trauma team saves more patients, the hospital goes further in in the red financially. Besides Baek Kang-Hyuk, the severe trauma team consists of Yang Jae-Won (Choo Young-Woo), Nurse Cheon Jang-Mi (Ha-Young) and anesthesiologist resident Park Gyeong-Won (Jeong Jae-Kwang). Yang Jae-Won belonged to the proctological surgery department that is led by Professor Han Yu-Rim (Yoon Kyung-Ho), but Yang Jae-Won was scouted by Baek Kang-Hyuk and joined his team. Yang Jae-Won becomes Baek Kang-Hyuk’s first pupil. Baek Kang-Hyuk turns the severe trauma team from a nominal existence to a team that actually goes out into the field and saves lives.

However I did not appreciate all the curse words! Unnecessary! Love that there will be a season 2 and possibley 3, just hope it’s not full of curse words. Cause that’s where it will loose me. This series kept me wanting to see more to the end. Oh yeah! Lead a character so handsome and the supporting actor so cute!

Male lead's character is so arrogant to his collegues well he wont survive even he is the most capable one because this is a team work not just showing your colors & you cant force your collegues also to do unsafe things . Yes he is risking everything to save lives going beyond his job well realistically you cant do like that. His professionalism is not that good . I like Ju ji Hoon even his acting but personally this is pure fiction ,actually there are real great doctors everywhere who save lives but good with collegues

Serious with a generous dose of Korean humor in all the right places. Flawless casting of the best of the best K Drama has to offer. The screenplay is one of the rare step above the many wonderful k dramas. Direction and editing also on a level above. But The subject of trauma medicine as it exists in the highly competitive world of medicine has been meticulously researched resulting every ilk of medical ethics or lack thereof. It’s truly exciting wonderful entertainment that will keep on the edge of your seat.Charisma floods every nook and cranny of the drama. It’s award worthy on so many levels. I’d like to mention the entire cast but must limit myself. Ji Ji-Hoon gives a spectacular performance as does Choo Yeong-Woo and Ha - Young. One last shout out for our dear bestie & wonderful actress, Kim Sun- Young. Don’t miss this winner.

I laughed so much at how funny the actors were & the situations they were in. I really liked the cast (ju ji Hoon always sexy & good acting hahaha) and became fans of some of them I never knew before (anus & gangster & anesthesiologist ). It also brings to light how needed trauma centers are and how for profit hospitals always thinking of profit. I really feel hospitals should not be run by profit/corporations but just remain non profit so focus on patients not profit.

Korea is mastering the art of making hyper realistic surgical procedure in dramas. I was amazed with how real it looked and the visual details that they have put into each operation to make it more engaging and understandable to the viewers.

Ju Ji Hoon once again give us another masterpiece. This guy is unstoppable one after another series since 2024.

Even the most expensive US series, like Amazon Prime Video's, still come short of the brilliance and «panache» that an unknown Korean director by the name of Lee Do-Yoon has managed to bring together here. It's just mind-boggling.

I kinda hope the episodes longer than just 8, the story build up could be better if it was 10 eps or 16 eps, because the source material from the webtoon is so many, and seeing that they just pack it into 8 episodes, its kinda a waste of resource. I wish they could make it more story build up, or maybe they save it for season 2? I dont know, but i hope so! Need more backstory of baek kang hyuk especially during his black wings day.
