Baek Do-Ha (Lee Jae-Wook) and Baek Do-Yeong (Lee Jae-Wook) are twin brothers, but have lived apart since their parents' divorced when they were young. Younger brother Baek Do-Ha lives in the United States and older brother Baek Do-Yeong lives in South Korea. Baek Do-Ha comes to South Korea and stays in a duplex house with his father and brother Baek Do-Yeong every summer for 21 days. During this time, he spends time with Baek Do-Yeong and next-door neighbor Song Ha-Kyeong (Choi Sung-Eun). Song Ha-Kyeong's father is also good friends with the twins' father. Song Ha-Kyeong grows up bickering with summer guest Baek Do-Ha, but grows to having feelings for him. She is unable to express her feelings to him, who only visits in the summer. Now as adults, Baek Do-Ha works as a talented architect and Song Ha-Kyeong works as an architectural public official. Because of an incident of 2 years ago, Song Ha-Kyeong and the twin brothers face irreversible changes in their lives.

Erra Mar 17 2026 7:41 am I never put high expectations when I started to watch this. But surprisingly the story is very interesting. The plot is good, the chemistry are good, I love the storyline. I love how the characters here mend each other in their unique relationships. Love Lee Jae Wook here. And I think become new fans of Kim Gun Woo. I find him cute.

zegni Jan 15 2026 9:28 am Unbelievably boring. I almost watch any K-drama, some is very good, some is good and some is not that good , yet I always watch it till the end. But this one.... I really want to stop at episode 2.... try again ... end up in episode 4.

Too bad.... That's all.

Sorah Dec 26 2025 1:49 pm Purely personal opinion: I couldn't even get past episode 8. I find this K-drama extremely boring (for me). The female character makes me uncomfortable and gets on my nerves. I think it's a slow, boring, insubstantial, convoluted, and pointless drama (the plot is easy to understand, but I still can't find any logic in a large part of the events/actions).

To emphasize: I'm referring to my personal taste

Despite everything, the actors do a good job, but I don't see any chemistry or comfort in their roles. It might be a good drama for those who like this type of show, but it's obviously not for me.

Yep agree with the so small storyline of baek do young. But i love them all so much. Also this is the 1st time im seeing lee jae wook acting so cute and i keep repeat the scene every time he does his mouth cutely and he looks so adorable. A nice drama to watch when u need a light storyline

I truly like both male and Female lead it was good that they solve they trauma and rely on each other

sora Dec 10 2025 12:57 am First, i decided not to continue this drama. the female character made me annoyed. until eps 6 she decided to date a character who is close to the main character. wtf are you doing girl?. this is really crazy. if you are a person who is tired of seeing inconsistent characters, too ambitious or maybe the character doesn't heal and even always blames others, I don't think this story is for you. their acting is very good but not with a very confusing story.

Fillytaidanielle Dec 08 2025 3:34 am The best drama i never had because enjoy every scene that might frust to see why they was acting like that and they also have the reason that why they show their emotion and the feels of every emotion is very delivering to show what they trully feels and they develope the relationship and the ending that they where happy about

Russell Dec 07 2025 5:26 pm I think the last two episodes made up for some problems earlier in the drama. I thought the relationship of the secondary couple was very powerfully done. The relationship of the main couple definitely became sweeter. Maybe the ratings would have been higher if the script had them confessing love for one another earlier in the drama. I still liked the drama overall and I was never bored.

Jalana Dec 06 2025 12:52 pm Honestly, Last Summer falls apart because it leans on a tired, unnecessary love triangle that only exists to drag the plot, and it forces the FL into acting immature and overly emotional just to keep the drama going. Her inconsistent reactions make the ML look worse than he is, while his emotional shutdowns turn simple issues into big conflicts. Instead of real character growth, we get recycled trauma, miscommunication, and contrived tension. And none of this is the characters’ fault, it’s the writers and production team forcing bad tropes and messy storytelling, not the fictional people inside the drama.

Jillibean Dec 01 2025 1:08 am Everything starts and ends with the Script. It is the foundation of all dramas. If the writing is choppy or incoherent then even the best of actors can't rescue it.

chloe Nov 29 2025 2:03 pm zero respect to Baek Do Young story and his personality. so little time about who he was. extremely dissatisfied. also zero chemistry between the leads.

and i really like the lead actors. feels like something is wrong either with production or the script…

Jillibean Nov 21 2025 5:24 am Ha Kyeong should just move out of the duplex house and start afresh somewhere else. Rent out her half to someone else. That would help break the unhealthy relationship she has with Do Ha. Start a healthy new relationship with the lawyer. He obviously cares for her.

I don't agree this drama is boring. I am very much interested in the narrative flow.

Steve Nov 20 2025 12:54 pm Agree with B00 below - this drama is boring. It lacks narrative hooks. It is difficult to care about the characters because nothing happens. There is no real tension. Song Ha-Kyeong seems unaware of Baek Do-Ha's true feelings for her, which is remarkable because he tells her constantly.

And who messed up Lee Jae Wook hair lol his bangs are super short lol Yeah, didnt feel any chemistry between these two at all. I begin episode 4 and just can't watch this. Maybe his next show is better. I havent ever seen a show Lee Jae Wook was in that I didnt like. This one, tho is cringe and a NO for me

I find it confusing, I could not relax. Always asking, why is she so mad all the time. Reality check, would one want to be with a girl like her. Too much of this gave me headache.

I would like to see the lead female character have a good chance at romance with the second male lead guy, the lawyer. She needs a refreshing break from her childhood relationship that essentially turned sour over the years.

heavy duty Nov 16 2025 1:22 pm imho, the dialogues,, the sentences, the words (in this case, the subtitle) are quite "heavy". That was how highly competitive professional people converse, probably that was the depiction the writer of the series tried to convey. The characters are supposedly highly intelligent, competitive,and all other awesome qualities. FL, ML, the lawyer, and those people in the office during the meeting. They spew out awesome words effortlessly. Impressed with the way they communicate. My compliment to the writing team.Think about it, this drama series, for the last couple of weeks, is the only venue where i could hear (read) interesting sentences.Not in my real life. lol.

yerimie Nov 12 2025 11:33 pm i agree with with Jillibean. hakyung's character is very realistic especially with everything she has been through. the negativity she's feeling towards doha is valid, although unhealthy. looking forward to how their relationship will grow after ep 4 now. wishing for hakyung's healing throughout the whole drama. i hope doha doesn't hurt her again. last summer Fighting!!

I think the male lead character is playing head games with her and it's actually He who is annoying. He keeps inserting himself into her life when she obviously doesn't trust him. Leave her alone and stop pestering her!

In what situation would this woman played by the lead female Not have been let go from her job by now - so entitled, rude and obnoxious - constantly picking fights. In today's world, a small town would have found a far better use for the money paying her salary.

Jillibean Nov 08 2025 1:53 am I haven't formed an opinion yet on the first two episodes but I do think it will prove to be quite interesting as it develops. The lead actress reminds me of both Han Hi Min and Han Hyo Joo at times, lol! She's good.

I also love the dog. Golden retrievers are so beautiful. :)
