Kim Se-Hee (Yum Jung-Ah) is the chief director of a large hospital and the operator of a charity foundation. She is a highly respected doctor, but, unknown publicly, she is also the head of an illegal adoption organization that is run by Jung Hyeon (Kim Jin-Young). Kim Se-Hee holds a twisted belief that only superior genes should survive. In the case of a child that is adopted through their illegal operation and does not meet the adoptive parents' expectations, Kim Se-Hee's group provides a free refund for a certain period of time. When a child is returned by the adoptive parents, Kim Se-Hee's organization kills the child to destroy evidence of their crime. Kim A-Hyeon (Won Jin-A) was one of the refunded children, but Kim A-Hyeon dramatically survived. Now, she is the leader and a spiritual supporter of the survived children. She goes up against Kim Se-Hee for survival and revenge.

Based on webcomic "Ayishopping” written by Eom Se-Yoon & illustrated by Ryu Ga-Myeong (published December 6, 2016 - January 30, 2018 via Kakao).

Zeila Mar 30 2026 4:48 pm OK drama, it was worth watching...yeah, some big loopholes here and there. It's a shame so many people just focused on Dex. I thought he did just fine. The character he played was stoic and a long-time hit-man. He was reserved and unemotional, which fit the character very well. Make sure you watch the epilogue at the very end for complete satisfaction. That being said, the reason I just call it Ok is because of how it was filmed. It's soooo dark you sometimes can't see what the heck is going on and who is who. Took a lot of the enjoyment away.

The series would be better if they added few more episode bcs I was curious to know about Tae Sik and Jung Hyun background. I wish See He didn't die so she could pay what she did to those kids.

Kookie Aug 13 2025 3:02 pm I agree with Dae, I don't get the negative reviews. What plot holes exactly? I don't think they understand the meaning of a "plot hole". As for the people complaining about the fight scenes being unrealistic, since when have fights in movies or series ever been realistic? The drama was pretty good. It's very dark but still enjoyable, and the ending is good and makes sense. If you like action thrillers, then this is definitely something for you.

This is his first drama, and he nailed it! He brings the character well. The plot is also good. The ending is satisfied.

It's only his second role in a drama so obviously he won't be amazing but also not awful. So far I actually like this,it's a unique premise and although I am beyond pissed and disgusted by the actions of the people towards the kids I do enjoy it. To commenter Sandy below - they are acting emotional because they are literally kids who grew up with parents who tried to have them killed. Not sure why that would be shocking or annoying to a viewer. Basically they were saved within the last couple of years so of course the trauma is still very fresh and they are living in fear.

AMAN Jul 23 2025 3:48 am there was a line in first episode that is stuck with me "People don't even abandon their Pet like this how can they abandon their children like that" it's fiction but people like that exist in real world also..it's good to watch something different in kdramas..but i think for Jung Hyeon's character they should have cast someone established actor who has more experience because that character looks like a main & strong negative character to me & Kim Jin-Young(Dex) is just a new actor he isn't leaving impact on that role, he should have chosen small roles at first and work on his acting skills first before going for main roles..just like other actors do.

Emerald V Jul 22 2025 4:32 am Just finished episode 1! It's quite good! Read a lot of Kim Jin-Young's "bad" acting. He is nervous and stiff since it's his first acting, maybe. I also saw that he is quite stiff... and his lips are barely moving when talking. But, I still think he played a good villain role. <3 No matter what the critics say, it's my cuppa tea... and I'm gonna watch and support until the end!! BTW... "Choi Si-Woo"'s acting is To Die For! Kid is Sooooooooo good!!
