Set over a one month period, model high school student Se-Hoon, wanting to revamp his image, decides to run for the student council as a running mate. As the election progresses, Se-Hoon gradually becomes the center of the election.

Han Jin-Won makes his directorial debut with drama series "Running Mate." Han Jin-Won previously co-wrote movie "Parasite," which won the Palme D'or award at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.

whosthat_itsmeduh Jul 27 2025 1:59 am I can’t remember that last time I finished a drama in one night. Each episode was actually so fun to watch. Not many people liked the ending.. but I was quite satisfied with how it turned out.

I’m sorry, but how are we supposed to empathise with ML? Why is he depicted as such a loser now? Just because of his crush on the girl, he spends the whole night looking at her IG Profile and thus falls asleep on the bus and loses his campaign outfit? And he’s running for VP? Jeezus, what a loser. And he has the audacity to initially scoff at his friend who’s on the other team when he takes the stand to sing… when he himself has done nothing for his campaign and hasn’t even memorised his team’s chants. UGH.

Hana Kimi Jun 20 2025 2:38 pm This drama is so good! I really enjoyed it to the fullest. It has a refreshing storyline and isn't your typical cliché bullying drama. The character development is amazing — seeing someone go from a bad person to a good one, and realizing that the person who seemed good was actually the real villain who just used others for their own benefit. My favorite characters are Kang Jae Won and the guy with the headphones! But I was really disappointed with how the main character's friendship ended. ?
