A story of Crown Prince Lee Hwan (Park Hyung-Sik) and Min Jae-Yi's (Jeon So-Nee) fateful love.

Crown Prince Lee Hwan is arrogant, mean and capricious to other people. He also holds a secret of a mysterious curse. Consequently, he is a lonely person who hides a deep scar within his mind. Meanwhile, Min Jae-Yi is an extremely smart girl and she comes from a respected noble family. Her entire family is suddenly murdered and she is framed as the killer. She is chased by people who try to arrest her.

AKC Dec 23 2025 4:23 pm This drama made me realise that Hyungsik is actually a top actor. When I first noticed him in SWDBS I actually thought he was going to be typical Lee Min Honestly kind of guy. Handsome with not so much acting range. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this. PHS can ACT. I decided to watch his other works Doctor Slump and Buried Hearts and I was right. He’s a talent. I am surprised I do not see more of him actually.love his work .i can safely say if there ever is a bad drama with him in there it will be because there was a flaw in the script or production.

Gigi May 15 2024 12:15 pm Too much over acting, over explaining and wasting of so much time pondering over the same mysteries. This drama was mostly a whole lot of nothing cause the mystery took forever to be pealed back and revealed.

The lead actress with her 2 front hare/bunny teeth annoyed me so much. What a horrible actress. Honestly my favourite character in this drama was Yun Jong-Seok. I loved how emotive he was. His eyes said a lot. This is one of Park Hyun Sik most weakest drama's and that's through no fault of his own cause he is actually quite a versatile actor. The issue was the story and the frustrating way it was unfolded.

loverofKdramas Jan 23 2024 8:51 pm With all the hype that Dr Slump is bringing, I finally got around to waching Our Blooming Youth. I have no idea why I did not watch it before. Watch it people! If you want to see a progressive, droooooooool worthy crown prince, a badass heroine, fantastic side characters and a meaty story about friendship and trust, this is your series. Park Hyung Sik is unbelievably gorgeous as the Crown Prince, though nothing new about it, but it's his acting that took me by surprise. I always thought of him as a goof ball, rolling ball of energy (I can totally see Dr Slump being up his alley) but it's like watching an entire new actor in this series. Measured, balanced, and just right - he is simply majestic as the cranky, wooden but benevolent prince with massive trust issues. He is so King like that you could be forgiven to think he was born that way. He has an expression for everything, like every single thing. The lens loves him, and he loves it right back. I am also very impressed by Jeon So Nee. She looks very good with him - she is drop dead gorgeous and carries the role well. The story pacing though at times uneven, is quite consistent and the story unfolds at a breakneck speed. The mystery becomes quite obvious to the audeince early on, but considering this was Joseon with no forensic tools available, our mystery solving squad takes its own sweet time in uncovering everything. I enjoyed the subtle romance, it was more humorous than romantic, and very inspiring relationship wise, especially giveb its forbidden natire. Humor is 10/10.

Park Min Jan 01 2024 5:55 pm The story kicked off with the female lead getting falsely accused of murder and the prince is connected to the incident. So how would they structure the drama around this narrative? They had the female lead spend most of the drama hanging around the prince waiting for something to pop up for the story to move again, which didn't happen until the last few episodes. Unbelievably long and draggy for little to no story or character development. Everything can be summed up with 6 episodes without compromising anything from the narrative. The romance and the secrets were too delayed to care about, instead of laying them out evenly. Which made romance redundant by the end. Aside from the initial few episodes, I don't see anything appealing in this drama.

Joy Dec 28 2023 3:30 pm Watched it during the Christmas holidays and it was the best of gifts. Been reading the comments and I love that so many people enjoyed it and had great highlights from it. My take, this drama has the most charming Crown Prince casted yet in the historical dramas I've watched. The Joseon era was very patriachal but the writer put a great twist that has me believing that perhaps that's where the "romance" was as opposed to the standard display of affection. This is the fact that the crown Prince gave her (Min Jae Yi) permission to be and to do what no woman could do in that era.

In their initial encounter, Min Jae Yi remarks to the CP " Has Joseon ever gave a girl permission to do anything?" She referred to the discriminating patriachal society. She couldn't even put her name to her own past investigative work and hid behind her brother's name, so how could she protect herself or prove her innocence unless CP helps her.

The CP's response set the very tone of their story, he gave her permission. He said " yes, you can, do it, try it." and to me these were powerful ground breaking words that of course carried their own consequences. What is more charming is that the CP honoured his word to the end by allowing , a woman - his woman, to have her own free will and offered her protection and support .

He allowed her to illegally stay by his side in disguise, allowed to to investigate, to hold a sword and fight, to speak her mind freely, to give her opinion in a public lecture and even challenge the sergeant. Allowed her to choose not to go back to her betrothed despite his promise to his best friend and the best one yet, giving her permission to choose her path, living alone and teaching children after the mystery was solved. This was her expressed desire and he went out of his way to make it happen. He honoured it despite him longing to have her by his side and being lovesick for a whole damn year!

He not only honoured her choice but also respected the affection his best friend had for Min Jae Yi by waiting and finally came to take her hand when the time was..."riiight?.."?

Anyway, the love was wholesome if you ask me, sophisticated and didn't obstruct the other themes in the film. What a perfect harmony! Not getting over it any time soon.

My slogan remains, don't judge a kdrama by the first episode and a kdrama is best binged after all episodes are released.??✌️

Kira Dec 26 2023 1:03 pm The first time I watched this series, I liked it a lot. Then I read a fan fiction and to refresh my memory, gave it a second watch and I fell in love with it. It's a very very beautiful series. The lead actors are outstanding, side actors are fabulous and story is touching. Humour is top notch and honestly, I am surprised this series is not what everyone is talking about. It stands right up there with the best released this year. Just know that it's not really a romance. The fan fiction covers that part and it's brilliantly written. It's on "archive of your own", called "When the bud blooms", check it out, it's a continuation of the series and reads like a sequel.

Glen Meads Dec 15 2023 9:43 am A rare find, a rare gem. I am surprised I did not hear about this series more this year. In a sea of segueks that released this year, this stands out. Terrific acting, outstanding humour. The ML is very handsome and the man can act. He is so charismatic that it is hard to take your eyes off him. The FL gives him a good match. The side actors are a riot and some scenes are so good they pump your adranaline to the roof. The romance was wonderful, and yes, a little more of them together would have been the icing on the cake. One kiss at the end was not enough but still, it's one of the best released this year. Highly, highly recommend. The OST is posibly one of the best released.

Sia Nov 20 2023 12:26 pm Please watch it. This year we saw many historicals, but for me this stands out. Not one slow episode, a gorgeous prince, very funny comedy, super slow but lovely romance. It has a deep underlying story. Can someone please give Park Hyung Sik an award for this role? I have not seen an actor portray a role of a Joseon Prince with such perfection.

It is so intricately written; the plot was well thought of, the storyline well written, individual characters from minor to major roles are distinct and well crafted. The actors are brilliant. Rare can you find a drama this engaging, not a dull moment from start to finish. This drama is a hidden gem that should not be left in the dark and thus presented and centered on the spotlight.

I was never a fan of idol turned actors but Park Hyung Shik is one of a kind and his performance in this one is extremely exceptional and I had never said that about any other idol turned actors. He is a born actor why he started as an idol is beyond me. He embodied every molecule of his character for this drama.

I only have compliments for this drama but my only complaint is the lack of action between Myeong Jin and Ga Ram. I want more from this hilarious duo. You'll know why if you watch this series ?

Monsoon Aug 10 2023 11:26 am I came upon this by chance. I was looking for something historical but not romance alone (I'm not too fond of most Seguek romances as they mostly either end in tragedy or are frivolous). I recently watched Jeon So Nee in 'Soulmate' and loved her, which intrigued me.

Can I give this series 20 our 10 stars? I am shocked to say, this series quenched my romance thirst in the most surprising way (considering it barely has a feeting kiss. It so old school and soooo...I don't know...Victorian in its approach? It delightfully Jane Auntinish like Jaglaine mentioned).

I laughed, I cried, my heart broke, I got afraid, I got angry, I got excited, I got frustrated, and most of all, my heart fluttered and fluttered until the end. What a beautiful series.

Jeon So nee was a delight to watch. She is such a good actress. Her comic timing is spot on and emotes trauma so well. She is spunky, funny, resourceful and sassy. She brought the character to life. I am happy Soulmate was not a fluke.

But it was the Crown Prince who floored me.

As everyone here has already mentioned multiple times, the Crown Prince is to die for. I have watched many Segeuks from some terrific actors, yet his portrayal was the most authentic. Not once in the series did it feel like the actor playing Crown Prince Yi Hwan had ever seen the 21st century. He Belonged to the Joseon era. He lived that role. His trust issues and his longing for true companionship, his meanness hiding a deeply emphatic soul, his struggle to get his father's approval despite being as close to the perfect crown prince as one could be, his love for the woman he has come to rely on as a friend and a confidant and his denial to do anything about his feelings, his jealous but sacrificing heart at war with each other (some of the funniest scenes come out of this tussle) - the actor played every aspect of the role to perfection.

Surprisingly, I only recognized the actor once I looked him up. I had watched him in 'What Happens To My Family' a decade ago. I remember adoring the cute Chal Dal Bong but never followed up on him after that. I could not believe Park Hyung Shik has grown into this incredibly gorgeous, intense actor with such a deep, commanding voice, such a far cry from the confused, unconfident, troubled man struggling to find his place in the world (he was fantastic in that role too). I am over the moon to know he has an impressive body of work I can look forward to.

Of course, all the characters in this show shine equally and don't let the Crown Prince steal their thunder. Everyone is a delight to watch, though my personal favorite after the main leads is the CP's sister, Princess Hyeon. She is so in character and shares so many similarities with her brother that it's a joy to watch her (check her out in the Polo match scene fangirling after the Sargent, it's the cutest, or when she is assaulted by an assassin, she is outstanding).

The characters in this show have taken a life out of this show for me. If the makers decide to make a sequel, they would have so much material. Not only is the romance grounded and absolutely beautiful, the potential of the 'Sheild' team, more crime investigation, and the challenge of a royal marriage based on equal footing in the Joseon Court would itself make for a compelling watch. Think about the lifelong challenges Yi Hwan and Jay Yi would face from different factions of the court who would like nothing better but to separate this 'glued at hips' couple. Throw in some 'forced' concubines in the list - as a Queen, Jay Yi would be compelled to fill her Queen's quarters with them as any other Ministry does. How would the intensely loyal and completely besotted Yi Hwan react to that? It gives me tickles just thinking about that.

Jaglaine Aug 10 2023 12:21 am What can I say? Of course Park Hyung-Sik rocks! Seriously, this drama is well-written and, to my surprise, it has a crime-investigation aspect to it! One of my favourite genres! Anyway, the CI was written very well within the time setting. It is amazing how the writer actually managed to make it all believable. The others have commented well on the acting of the cast - read Paloma's and Benny02's comment and I second that.

Sageuk, comedy, romance that is not the fluffy kind but the solid one based on mutual respect, mental and physical attraction. It is the kind that did not require KDrama tropes but was quite satisfying nonetheless. It reminded me of Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightly and Matthew Macfadyen. The only kiss was a sweet gentle kiss at the end and it was moving and it was just right. I even think that the OBY ending did not require a kiss. Don't get me wrong, I am a sucker for romance but a good story is a good story no matter what. [Mr Queen comes to mind]

Anyway, yes, definitely watch this.

Paloma Nelson Jun 07 2023 10:30 am Superb series.Some scenes are so funny that you can rewatch them and still keep laughing.Loved the hilarious shovel scene,how it was used as a metaphor throughout.The Polo scene - Ooooooo!!!The scene where they sing around the table?Too good.The Inn couple scenes are beautiful and never feel like fillers as they add so many laters to the actual story.The lead actors have done a fantastic job.I can't get over that not only how good looking the Crown Prince is but that he is such a terrific actor.One of the few actors I have seen who has a different expression for every scene.You don't need a dialougue to know what he is thinking.You can TELL just by looking at his expressions.What a treat to watch him.The other two male leads are very good too.The FL is great, thought quite as good as the ML, still a very good match for the ML.The other SFL (Taxi driver lady) is also good but not as good as the FL.The lady who plays Queen is amazing.The story is quite good and keeps you engaged.The romance is subtle but heart warming and they are amazing when they are together.9.5/10. Go for it.I will be watching out for more work from the leads - Park Hyung Sik and Jeon So Nee.Park Hyung Sik has become my favourite after this.

unni_verser Jun 06 2023 8:53 am This show reeled me in for its romance. I disagree it does not have romance. It's very beautiful. The chemistry between the leads is so dam good. They bicker, they flirt, they support each other, they are each others' pillars. It's so good. All the couples have their unique romantic line. The side coupe (they are funny), the Inn couple (so sweet and lovely), even the King and The Queen. OK they don't get touchy feely like in other dramas, but it does not matter. I am all moony eyed at Yi Hwan and Jay Yi and so shipping this couple for another drama.

Benny02 Jun 06 2023 7:58 am Entertaining, worth a binge watch. It's laugh out loud funny and the humor is peppered throughout and comes out in unexpected places. Not that much of a romance which is great, as the plot focusses more on the story and development of the characters. The love stories of both ML and FL and the other couple is extremely cute and believable. The actors are excellent, especially the ML (his name I believe is Park Hyung Sik?), he is terrific as the Crown Prince, followed by the fellow who plays the whimsical scientist. The women actors hold their own and all of them are very powerful characters - FL, her servant, the Princess, the Queen. The idea of making a 'squad' to 'investigate' makes it for a wholesome fun watch. The plot is pretty complicated and in some places quite sad. It also throws up lots and lots of questions that don't seem to have a straight forward answers. However, the answers are spread throughout the series (for example, why the ghost letter was sent to Min Jay Yi's family becomes clear in the very first episode in the hindsight). One annoying thing about K-dramas are the frequent flash backs and I wish they had cut down on those. Additonally some of the plot points are dragged a bit too much in the second half and writing could have done with a bit of tightening. But the actors do not let you blink, and they are so good that you remain glued to the screen. The conclusion is done very thoughtfully which is rare in K-dramas. It's a wonderful series that has something for everyone. It will be on my rewatch list.

I know Pyo Yejin deserved to be the female lead and I was expecting that too but after watching her play the male apprentice with Lee Tae Sun I realised this was for the better because she did it so perfectly and flawlessly. It was too funny and wholesome. Jang Garam will always be one of my favourite characters. Too cute. I hope the duo they have another drama together in the future. They are so compatible and fun to watch. Honestly, they carried the show or else I would die out of boredom.

How do the Queen find out about the tomb tablet in Jae yi's father possession? If he even send coded message to Minister Han, he must have had guard it's existence to no one else. He didn't even disclose it to his trusted daughter, Jae yi.

Why the Queen send along the ghost letter to Jae yi's father? So people would accuse his family made the ghost letter too? No answer for this too.

But the Queen and Prince Myeong ahn should be just removed from the palace and live in a guarded house somewhere. Not just let her roam like that. If someone raped the former Queen, it would be a disgrace to the royal family still, right? Well, thats what I think.

I think the plot is forced. But as a lazy viewer I like the happy ending. Anyways it's just fictional story as always written before each episode... :)))

Sara L May 22 2023 9:16 am A true socio political drama. Great series. The main actor (the Crown Prince) is blazing good. All other characters are great too. The series goes up and down in places but it's never boring. Every episode has a point to make. There are a lots and lots of great scenes between the main leads and they are make an amazing pair. Hope to see them more. The main story is touching and makes you think. The execution in some places could have been better (true for ALL K-dramas though). The actors who played CP's father and the eccentric scientist are amazing. The detective team brings so much variety (Josean era CSI haha!). Congratulations to the team for producing such a great drama.

Macy Lee May 22 2023 8:54 am This is one of the most delightful historical series ever! A very different story. The actors are wonderful. The ML Crown prince (Park Hyung Sik) looks like he was born to be a King. The FL (Jeon So Nee) is lovely and smart. Both have great chemistry. Don't be confused by FL and SML's marriage story. At first it was confusing because it looked like she was in love with the Second lead and so engaged to be married to him. It took me sometime to understand they were supposed to be in an arranged (family contract) marriage and they had never met and that's why the SML didn't recognize her. You feel bad for him also, but the back story of Crown Prince and Min jay Yi is epic and the evil surrounding them takes center stage in the later half of the series. The side characters are a hoot and when they meet with out Main leads, it makes for some very very funny scenes. One good thing is that both the Main leads have a lot of time together and you can see their relationship grow into something beautiful. You start realizing they are in love quite early and it's easy to root for them because they are so good and understanding to each other. It is the highlight of the series. It's not as much about romance as it is about trust, friendship, love and growth. It's also about injustice. Watch out for some lovely scenes: When she dresses him up the first time (all in knots, pun intended), the shovel scene (so funny), the way CP gets ribbed by his friends when in disguise (that is so so much fun), the polo match (very realistic and a lot of testosterone pumping all around), the jealous CP, the smart crime solving FL - all in the first 12 episodes. It gets quite serious after that. Like most sageuks it gets intense at the end but wraps up quite neatly and ends on a high note.

The interaction between the two leads is fun fun fun! And the polo match - it's thrilling. The outdoor sequences are heart pumping. The mystery is great, but it gets a bit obvious towards the end. However, the leads keep you hooked. The love story is great - the ML and FL they look so in love with each other (be prepare to wait for the happy ending though). It leaves you wanting for more. Btw where does S Korea get such good looking men? The ML is outstanding.

Jillibean May 21 2023 7:44 am I enjoyed this historical drama very much, though I do feel it should have been condensed to 16 episodes instead of 20. In the old days, however, many sageuk ran 50 episodes or longer, so I guess in that respect we got off easy with 20. I've heard other folks call the drama's plot complicated or obscure, and it was convoluted to an extent, yet when the drama was over all the weird puzzle pieces fell into place. The acting was very good (I definitely had Second Male Leaditis Disease -- I liked the Male Lead much better in the K-drama Soundtrack 1, if you are his fan be sure not to miss that one), but honestly the show didn't have much of an OST to write home about; definitely an oversight. A drama like this should have had an unforgettable OST to match. I never finished any episode humming any of the soundtrack, like I do on so many other Korean dramas. My favorite scene was the polo match scene -- incredible! like a first run movie in the theaters. I definitely give the show an A. Another plus for me was that I got to see sublime actress Hong Soo Hyun again. Been watching her in dramas for two decades, and loved her in Roommate, and she never disappoints. She was perfect casting in the role of the doomed Princess. I would urge newbies to Korean dramas to check out her past works - la creme de la creme! :)

Fantastic execution of what could have been a dark drama but though the story is complicated it is filled with fun laugh out loud moments and a very cute romance. The four friends are a delight as they solve the puzzles, you might get a second lead syndrome. But the Main lead as the brooding Crown Prince stands above the rest with his jaw dropping looks and that deep voice. He has huge trust issues and she is accused of murdering her family and both are in danger and help each other. The heroine is bad ass and is very beautiful, even in her eunuch get up. Both of them are fantastic actors and steer the drama with their chemistry. The villains are as usual and as viewers you might see some plot twists ahead but there is still a lot of twist left till the end to give it a satisfying ending. Do Not fast forward any episodes if you like genuine relationship based dramas, this is one of them. The first 10 episodes develops relationships and the last 10 untangles the mystery. A solid 9/10 A note: Look up arranged marriage before watching. The comments on how the heroine or the hero are being disloyal to her fiancé are frustrating. In arranged marriages there is no love, no choice, it’s like a bondage, especially for the females (even more true of the Josean era). This drama is about her choice, her right to choose who she wants to love.

Episodes 1-11 are painfully boring and slow, they supporting characters are not even funny and the “mystery” DRAGSSSS. FM May 10 2023 4:55 pm I enjoyed the drama but it was too slow moving. It really should have been a 16 episode drama instead of 20. It is one of those shows where you can watch at 1.25 or 1.50 speed and you don't miss anything. That being said, I did love the leads, except maybe the FL. Loved Lee Tae-sun and Pyo Ye-jin, they made such a cute team. His smile always brightens a show. And of course, Hyung-sik's acting was great, to go along with his stellar looks. I think perhaps Pyo Ye-jin would have made a better FL. Overall, I did like the drama but I did have a hard time getting through it due to the slow pace.

The chemistry between Hyung Sik's Yi Hwan and Jeon So nee's Min Jay Yi is so good, their relationship so very beautiful, based on solid friendship, trust and understanding, that these two will stay on in your head long after the drama is over. And that will make you rewatch them becasue that's how good they are. Someone commented somewhere - oddly tight with each other - and that's the best way to explain it.

The fact that their bonding is also what carries the complex narrative forward. It's not a simple story, it touches many points - murder, revenge, greed, social injustice, psycological warfare, even mental health - how fear, mistrust and lonliness can turn a lively, beautiful, thoughtful and kind young man into a selfish, arrogant, mean and inconsiderate person - Park Hyung Sik has brought every nuace of Crown Prince Yi Hwan to life. His struggles makes your heart go out to him. As the pages of his tragic young life unfolds, you can't but help see how lonliness can destroy people (Covid has taught us well). His fortitude and determination are that of a pheonix, but his heart is marshmellow and his woman is his world. However, though he is intesely emotional and needy as a man, you get taken aback by how much he can sacrifice to do what is right.

In contrast, Jeon So Nee's Min Jay Yi is resolute, fearless, determined and brilliant. She works her way through every situation, manages her unimaginable grief and is single minded in her persuit of her immediate goals. She does not hold back, whether it's her motor mouth, or her emotions. She balances between being a complete non conformist and a noblewoman who has been taught from a young age that she has to be virtuous and not express her inner feelings and live the life that's meant for her. She loves with all her heart and yet holds herself back because that's the right thing to do.

The other thing that stands out - the equity with which Yi Hwan treats Jay Yi. He treats her as an equal in every possible way within the very restrictive, patriarchal Josean environment. As a Crown Prince, his say is the last word, but he never exercises it, respects everything that she has to say, no matter how angry or uncomfortable it makes him. And in perfect tandem, Min Jay Yi is spunky and completely fearless with him, without crossing the lines between a master and his servant. It's delightful to watch. The way they switch between being best friends to being master and servant is at times truly hilarious. To add to the complexity - they are meshed at heart. Ah! Those 'phang phang' glaces!

The two are peas in a pod. Those who love slow burn, intelligent romance this is for them. Their sensual chemistry is off the charts, but fair warning, there is not even a proper handhold, but that means even a mere hug makes a powerful statement. The drama also has some hugely fun characters -especially Lee Tae Sun's Myung jin - he is uproariously hilarious and fun. The 'Shied team' scenes are to die for. Pyo Ye Jin's Jang Ga Ram is adorable and well fleshed out.

The antagonists are very interesting. It's not a linear bad man good man drama, though the character who played the main villain could have done a little better (his cackles were annoying and sometimes he took more screen space than needed). But overall, the end game is immensely satisfying.

And those looking for a bit more for Yi Hwan and Min jay Yi together, watch them on the loop (from asking her to strip to insult her to losing his mind because there might be a remote chance she could get hurt - he is so ridiculously adorable around her. And of course it's Hyung Sik - his eyes says it all).

A must watch.

It is so good to the point that you want to rewatch it again because you want more of it. 1) I think the Queen could be the Monk Moojin's wife (they are the Song's descendants), and the Grand Prince Myungan is their son.

The Queen is vicious. Also, I am unable to comprehend why the King cannot see his own Queen's malicious acts.

The Court Lady Choi (serving the Crown Prince Lee Hwan) is also the Queen's people; therefore, hopefully, the Crown Prince realizes this in the next ep 19 and has her executed immediately.

Hopefully, the King has the Queen executed and her people too, including the Right State Councillor Jo as well as his allies. I think the King will demote Grand Prince Myungan to a commoner.

2) I think Sergeant Han (the Crown Prince's friend) realizes that he has to let go of Jae-Yi, as Jae-Yi no longer has feelings for him.

Ga-ram (Jae-yi's friend) will end up with Myung-jin given their good interaction.

The pace is slow but it suits the historical context when technology isn't here to help you connect the dots quickly. I thought that the hints of romance in the firsts epidodes were a little too much but it doesn't take long for their relationship to grow and man! This relationship ! The bickering, the complicity, the looks, the old married couple's energy! I for one love the fact that it was slow builded. Not to forget the other characters, the servant and the mad scientist are such a delight to watch!

I like the leads but the drama isn't as exciting as it seems, just my opinion everyone has their different preference.

The writers suck at the romance part. They don't need to complicate(since the story is already complicated) the relationship between CP and Sung-hon because of a girl. Just give CP a better choice. And, let the eunuch go back to Sung-hon. I like Myeong-jin with Ga-ram(like this duo, a LOT).

The Crown Prince and Jae-Yi are starting to fall in love with each other. Unless the writer is going to write Princess Hayeon and Han Sung-on (Jae-Yi's arranged financee) marrying each other and Han Sung-on starting having feeling for Princess Hayeon after their married.

The interaction between Crown Prince and Jae-Yi is fabulous, two persons loving each other, as having common interests between them.

For Jae-Yi's friend Ga-ram and Kim Myung-jin, they are compatible.

The story is gripping and I hope the upcoming plot twists do justice. If they can make a successful end to the series, this wil become one of the most rewatched dramas on the web.

Tin Feb 27 2023 5:49 am I think this drama will have a stretched out and stressful storyline cos from the beginning of the drama the female lead is already engaged to the crown prince's friend and they keep showing us that she likes the crown prince's friend before she met the crown prince but at the same time they are showing us that the crown prince is falling in love with her. I think we can only hope 4 a situation where the writer and director do their job well to fit how the story is progressing cos unless if the writer and director do a good job because from the storyline we've seen so far this drama might end up giving us the viewers some sort of headache/heartache. It would not be a big deal if the drama wasn't historical (Josoen Era) but it is and so far historical dramas make a huge deal out of issues like that... So All we can depend right now is for the writers and directors to develop the drama in a good way for us viewers

Hyungsik, Jungseok & Taeseon's acting were all good~ actually Jeon sonee acting is also good, but her appearance is kinda not match with the character.

Not showing enough the character of the crown prince, the main lead actress is too feminine to be a boy ( short, petite and skinny) and her acting is not convincing enough. The whole thing is always like a play than a movie.

Too sad for the chief Han, hopefully he found love ?. Btw the cast 2nd ML in Forbidden Marriage only cameo in this series.. become the 'lover' of Jae Yi....

seina Feb 16 2023 10:24 am after watch 2 episodes the plot is likely similar with The Forbidden Dream?? female lead who was supposed to marry the 2nd male lead, but ended up marrying the 1st male lead.. she disguised herself in the palace as a eunuch/servant because she's on danger and all her family dead. The main plot is kinda same (they just added some story background and it turned little bit different) lol

Also, Jeon So-nee is doing a great job in the drama and it is unfair to take away her merit only because Pyo Yejin is more experienced. Everyone deserves the same chance to grow and it would be great if we would be wiling to embrace this. Very beautiful drama! Let’s all enjoy it to the fullest!

trizki Feb 11 2023 9:13 am the female lead is not as familiar as PyoYejin, it should be her though. Pyo YeJin has more experienced, even in the popular drama as like VIP, Taxi Driver, Whats Wrong Secretary Kim, etc. Its kinda sad
