Dongbang Yu-Bin (Kim Dong-Wook) is a smart, attractive, and athletic man. He works as a professor at a prestigious university outside of South Korea. He gets offered a lifetime faculty position there, but he turns the offer down. Instead, he returns to South Korea and volunteers as the chief of the Violent Crimes Unit 2 at Songwon Police Station. The Violent Crimes Unit 2 team ranked at the bottom in the nation's arrest performance. Dongbang Yu-Bin meets the members of the Violent Crimes Unit 2, who all have various personalities. His goal is to turn the team into one of the best detective team.

Cheryl May 10 2025 8:10 am I really loved this drama. I first saw people commenting about it on Tiktok and so I thought I would give it a try, as a lot of viewers thought it was funny. The first episode I was not too convinced but I never judge a drama on the first episode alone. By the second and third episode I was laughing out loud and was falling in love with the cast. It's not all fun and funny and there are some poignant moments, which I think adds some depth to the comedic element of the script. The cast did an amazing job and the team felt like a family, which is always something I love in a police drama. If you are looking for something light and fun, this one might do it for you!

seun May 02 2025 10:16 am cant finished this drama in one seat, i watched it halfway and continue the remaining after few months.

probably cause it has a looong story telling. i was ok with the sense of humour but i think to solve a case, its unnecessary to take 2 episodes to tell / show the story, especially when the culprit-caught scene was like easy and direct one. it ended up dragging.

the last 3 episodes i think, started when Detective Jung got stabbed then i think this drama has finally showed interesting plot and scene.

anyway, overall ok, can still be recommendable for a relax drama to watch with family.

San Apr 10 2025 4:00 am My bad was thinking that everyone has the same sense of humor. This is a very good drama in my opinion, I enjoy every single episode, those who say some of the comedy is not necessary, but that's what makes me really enjoy the humor. And also the cases that are presented is very well.

But I think there is something that needs to be considered again in the pacing of this drama, I guess it would be better if the case that is solved is only 1 case per 1 episode. This drama could be only shown 16 episodes instead of making it 20 episodes. That might be a problem for some people who can't enjoy this drama because it's too slow and long in for resolving every case.

But overall, this is very good comedy crime mystery for me

Jojo Nov 05 2024 5:07 am I nearly pulled all my hair out by the end of Ep 1 - this comedy was not funny at all... the young boy in the team, Jang was a pain in the butt, and it became more painful to watch by episode 2... the only reason I stomached episode 3 because I wanted to find out who the killer was... nope! I couldn't stomach another 17 episodes, this comedy series is a real turn-off. The actors are fine, the story and comedy sucks.

Siksakso Nov 04 2024 4:31 am Okay, I finished this drama yesterday. After the episodes went by, the humor in well places, but sometimes kim dong wook randomly give cheeky smile with no reason like ??? In this drama, he's like serious character, giving weird smile is not it ?

Also the plot twist, I can't say it's plot twist. Yeah yeah the killer wes... But he's not really involved to the story. On shows up few times and boom "yeah I'm the killer"

It's a comedy First and everything else second. The comedy is Insanely funny and I feel sad for those of you who cannot appreciate it. The chemistry of the cast is really good!! Best stress reliever drama of the year!

Darey Nov 02 2024 4:11 am disney+ korea wants to create something new. often creating crime stories and adding comedy to them. like watching a sitcom. actually, the comedy here is funny, but there are also lots of silly and strange scenes that deviate from the topic.

and I think a lot of things are unnecessary. for example, the background story of each member is too detailed. I feel like there's no point because it's quickly forgotten. every minute of this drama there are always ridiculous scenes, such as prohibitions on normal scenes. but that didn't make me laugh.

the cast is very good, specifically the chemistry. the concept of this drama is very similar to 'Dogs Know Everything' which also aired at the same time.

First off, most viewers say this drama is a comedy and had made them laugh most of the time. But actually, in my opinion, this drama has a lot more meaningful scenes rather than the comedic ones. I lost count on how many times I've been touched by every story either from the case or the characters backstories. The comedy aspects of this drama is good, but their meaningful and serious aspects actually far exceed my expectations. I love it, shout out to writernim! The plot in this drama is actually complex and every arc in this drama bring a weightful meaningful messages about life to the table.

Hoosierr Oct 17 2024 4:52 am Our team of detectives and their shenanigans are very cute. Show has a nostalgic feeling to it as if it's one of those investigation show we enjoyed every week for years. I thought it had 12 episodes then i found out not only it has 20 episodes but also this show will have a serial killer plot too. When will they stop relying on these serial killer side stories in most random shows? Why would a crime comedy like this one or regular rom-coms need any of that?

Since moving into their temporary office at the Day Care Centre, Jung Jung-Hwan has been taking all the different dinosaur from the centre and bring home gifts his daughters. Isn't that considered "stealing"? If yes...does Jung Jung-Hwan qualify to catch killers, murderers, perpetrator? Kinda bothers me each time i see him pop up on screen...

I saw Yonhee University from episode 7 that reminds me of other SBS kdrama, especially Cheer Up. I heard 167 cm from one of inspector at Songwon Police Dept, a reference of Park Se-wan's height. I saw Indonesian-built Hyundai Stargazer X drove by Jang Tansik, which I presumed that it will be introduced into Korean market soon or later. And more. My favourite character is Seo Minseo. She is fearless and diligent among all 5 characters in Seoul Busters. Thus, I'm a big fan of Park Sewan since 6/45 and most of people called her as "North Korean IU" thanks to her role in 6/45.
