Story follows a group of physical therapists, nurses, radiological technologists and trainees.

Ye Jae-Wook works as a physical therapist and also teaches in the same field. He begins to work as a team leader at a hospital.

Woo Bo-Young has been working as a physical therapist for 3 years. She wanted to become a poet, but due to her poor family background she studied to become a physical therapist.

Shin Min-Ho is a trainee, but he isn't interested in physical therapy. His grades weren't good enough for medical school and his parents, who are both doctors, made him study physical therapy.

"A Poem A Day" takes over tvN's Monday & Tuesday 21:30 time slot previously occupied by "Cross” and followed by "About Time" on May 21, 2018.
Gong Myung was first offered the role of Shin Min-Ho, but declined.

Min Ho gets worse especially when he realized that the lead couple is secretly dating. So again like a spoil brat he vents his frustration by riding the bike very fast during the dept trip and even threw Dr Ye's gift to Dr Woo into the river and oh ya he even opened the car door and made Dr Woo fell down to the ground when she was trying to 'coax' him and explain to him etc. Is this his way of loving her? Finally only in the last scene he redeemed himself by telling Dr Woo that he will no longer persist on liking her or persist that she must accept his affection. They will remain as friends.

Some people said their chemistry is better but she is also close friends with the other friend Nam Woo. Does that mean she need to be with NW too? With very close friends/family, usually we will reveal our bad selves and can be silly or embarrassing but to our boyfriend/galfriend or in someone whom we are interested in we will usually try to hide our bad selves to them and impress them by only showing our good side to them.

And when Dr Ye realised that she is hiding some stuff from him cos she don't want him to worry about her ending contract job, cancellation of her from the tv program etc, he was not at all angry with her. Instead he is so considerate to think from her own perspective and try to improve the comfort level in their relationship. If I'm Dr Woo, 100% I will choose Dr Ye.

Kdrama fan Jul 27 2021 3:29 am Sorry I'm late to this wonderful drama. Lately been binging on LJH lead dramas after his awesome drama 365 Repeat The Year and Dark Hole. Maybe I'm not too objective in my views for this drama since I like the lead actor but still, here it goes:

From the beginning I'm already annoyed by Min Ho. He is 25 yr old but act like some 12 yr old kid. Ok he don't like his "toy" a few years back but now suddenly realised he does like his "toy" after his "toy" no longer is interested in him and is now interested in Dr Ye. Then he act like some spoil brat as if "if I cannot get it nobody shall gets it" kind of mentality. So he keeps embarrassing Dr Woo in front of Dr Ye hoping that he will not like her and telling her that no guys will like her. I mean you are just demoralizing her. If I were her I will feel super depressed.

She needs a mature man who knows how to standup for her becos of her easy going character and protect her and not a spoilbrat who will make her life more miserable. I know many people said that their RS is like too formal and alike to teacher-student etc but from watching some kdrama experience some or many couples do address each other formally even after they were married. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.

The part Doctor Ye thought that he is so good at keeping their dating a secret yet he is the one who made all their colleagues know that he's dating someone is hilarious. But the tell-tale signs is so obvious but their colleagues are quite daft to not know that it was Doctor Woo ?

Kdrama fan Jul 27 2021 1:45 am It's a good show. Quite a couple of life lessons and situations that made me shed tears just like the lead gal. Although she and Min Ho a bit annoying at the first two epi, after that the plot becomes better.

The two radiologists are funny and warm-hearted to watch. There are no villains to fight against in this show which make it more relaxing to watch

And the lead guy acted so well too. Fighting Lee Joon Hyuk !!

Every character was highlighted and the poems featured in the drama really depicted the situation they’re in. As a fan of underrated kdrama, this is truly a gem! Please watch this drama and Im sure you’ll regret not watching it earlier.

There are occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, medical technologists, speech, and more they are a lot more interesting since people don't know what they do yet. please please please

potata Jan 07 2021 10:26 am This is one of the dramas you usually put off since it might not be as interesting as it should be. To my surprise, I had a great time watching this drama. I don't usually watch medical dramas since I graduated from a medical field myself and I don't want to watch something that might include an inaccurate representation of the medical environment. However, I can say that there are little incorrect portrayals of physiotherapy so I am glad.

What I like about this drama is that they're not over the top regards the romantic scenes. They are more onto the mature relationship between the couple and people surrounding the main leads. I'd say that I am one of the few that is happy that it doesn't follow the mainstream drama and have its own path. Ayieeeee

All the cast was perfectly selected. This is one of the real drama gems.

This drama, even though it features a love triangle, definitely doesn't follow the stereotypical storyline or character tropes that so many k-dramas have. There's no overly-dramatic scenes, but rather realistic + mature ones that still make you emotionally attached to the story. All the characters were original, memorable and best of all, relatable. I'm so happy I got to enjoy something that felt so pleasantly different from other dramas and I think it's a perfect slice-of-life show that still gives you many emotions! Also, I love how the poetry was incorporated into each episode!

watashiwayo May 23 2020 9:22 pm If you are already tired of dramatic melodrama, this is the best choice to enlighten your mood. The drama is very soft and light hearted. The chemistry between the main lead are freaking strong, the same with the chemistry of PT squad. And if you hate complicated love triangle (you're not alone coz I despise it), this is the great drama for you, i mean there's a love triangle but i assure you it's not conplicated.

But I really not into the lead female's character that was portrayed here. The anytime, anything can trigger her crying is too over the top, unwanted emotions flooding. I like this actress but really dont like her role..

has very  emotional scenes too.First Few episodes were somewhat boring  but others were very interesting .

Chunn Oct 20 2018 11:54 am I like Lee Joon Hyuk and Jang Dong Yoon, but I think the story should tells "Ye Seonsaeng's side". The chemistry was rather forced. But overall, this is a very good drama. The acting of each actor is very neat and the story is very impressive. This drama can even break people into Ye Line's side and Minho's side.

Never have I ever wished and hoped as much as I did this time that the second male lead would get the girl. I never warmed to the lead maybe because he never warmed up enough. Oh and Min Hos view on love is right. True love means never having to feel embarrassed with the person you like.

For the first time, a drama makes me stop watching in the middle. It is tiring on how the drama makes you pouring your heart for Minho and Bo Young couple in the beginning, but then change it in the middle of the drama. On top of that, the storyline of Dr Ye is boring. A huge disappointment even though I am a huge fan of actress Lee Yu Bi.

Glad to see there are a lot of people with the same opinion as mine.

I never felt one bit of favor over him comparing to Dr. Ye. He's truly immature like a grade schooler. And can I just say how satisfying it is when Dr. Ye told him in the face that it was HIM who first rejected Bo Young? And remember it was only when Min Ho saw Bo Young liking Dr. Ye when he realizes he likes Bo Young? He only appreciated Bo Young efforts when it was already directed to another guy. True enough, sometimes you don't realize the value of something until you lose it.

semperlei Jun 30 2018 11:10 am a beautiful, heart warming and very romantic kdrama! yes it is so simple but i think its simplicity what made this so good... how it was done was perfectly executed.. each poem was very much fitted with each episode...and my.. i laughed a lot here.. the timing of the humor is just perfect.. i fell in love with the male lead.. wow he is totally fitted for the role.. so manly handsome... how can he be so sweet by just his mere look in his eyes....this is so perfect for me... super love this... highly recommended kdrama.

For me, it is more interesting if it's focuses between Dr. Woo and Min Ho because I love the chemistry between them and I feel it.

P.S. and I also remind you that I love all the real characters here in this drama.

Ppps Jun 21 2018 11:35 am Just like the name suggests,this drama is really beautifully poetic....every episode is such a delight to watch....the poetry, humour, pain and happiness have been elegantly interwoven into the plot of the drama,without being overly dramatic....this drama revolves around the lives of some physical therapists....the modest and poetic story telling of this drama will make you care and fall in love with each and every character.....every character in this drama is key to the story telling....the simple twists in the story will leave you thoughtful....the relationships between Dae Bang and Joo Yong and Myung Chul and dr. Park were no less interesting and entertaining than the romantic sub-plots....the comical scenes are truly hilarious and of good natured humour,...finally,among all the other recent korean drama extravaganzas, this drama feels like a breath of fresh air that will fill you with a lot of warmth and happy feelings. P.S - Lee Yoo Bi is reeeaallly cute...god bless ☺️

ellie Jun 03 2018 10:34 am I loved how they used poetry throughout the drama. Although, I kept thinking Bo & Nam were siblings for some strange reason (1/2 siblings). There were so many sad yet true life hospital scenes. I could definitely go for another season of this drama. Although I felt Min-ho was such a spoiled brat and childish, it took most of the drama to warm up to him. I would have liked to see more of Joo-Yong with Bo. I know..a completely different story.

Suddenly the team leader fall for his junior etc... It would be perfect if their 'fall in love process' is deeper. Anw despite of that, the main couple is sooooooooo cute! Omg i really love them!

anna May 18 2018 1:39 pm This drama actually has the potential for season 2 because the focus is not only for main characters but for other characters like patients, doctors, mothers, and even cameos' characters too. We can see the continuation after this, see some of these characters' development and also see some new characters' stories along with beautiful new poems as well. Each characters have their own stories and struggles too. People may think some stories are not resolved but that's life. They're still living their life and that's why some stories are not fully resolved because their life is not ended yet. Meanwhile some stories are shown ended in either beautiful or sad way. The drama is about finding comforts through poems/poetic song lyric and giving hopes too. At the end, the setting is mainly about physical therapists and it's about recovery. If they find hope to recover then the rest of stories are up to the characters.

For those looking for a light drama with no complicated story line, and one that's like a healing sort-of-drama, this one's for you! You would not regret watching this drama!

Nonetheless I loved this drama because of the actors, but I didn’t see any chemistry between the main leafs (Dr. Ye & Dr. woo). Their kisses were sweet but I wasn’t too excited when the scenes occurred.

But that is most dramas, like when Min Ho realized he liked her and so on, and so on, but she ended with the supposedly second lead cuz Dr. Ye was later introduce, besides is also about physical therapists an not doctors and the radiologist. But what I love the most was the actual poems. I know the ending looked rushed and predictable like Bo Young finally getting the job. But is not the worst drama

For those who personally believed neither Boyoung or Minho matched each other and were better fitted to being friends and friends only, they are still just friends.

And for those extra odd people on the MHxBY ship, please tell me where he was always there for? That was Dr.Ye, Minho only started "caring" for her after episode 8(or was it 9 -_-) when he decided to man about his feelings and thought her and Dr.Ye were over. And even then he sometimes treated her like shit(example - episode 14). I am glad he matured though, one of my favourite character developments in dramas.

I love LJH cos his drama before,Naked Fireman and Secret Forest, in SF his acting skill is really great many thumbs for him :) From beginning, this drama tell about Ye Jae Wook and Wo Bo Young character as said on all synopsis. So, i know the leading man in here is Lee Joon Hyuk :)

After watched from 1st ep until now, the plot much better and better. I like all characters and the friendship between them.

About Shi min ho, i like him, sometime annoying & childish but sometime he is kind and cute. But Bo young and him just suit for best friend. I hope, in the ending, Shi Min Ho get happy too, especially with his family and wish he get a new kind girl :)

Finally, i am happy, when Wo Bo Young catch her dream and smile. She deserve get someone like Dr Ye, who understand her and kind to her with his uniqe character :D I hope, their relationship are strong till the end of the drama and happy ending for everyones characters. They are a most cute couple i ever seen in many dramasland. :))

The writers are set on making the main girl as pathetic and spineless as possible. How many times must they humiliate, ridicule and step all over her? It's like they're trying to make her the most pitiful of all main girl characters of all times. I like that she is pure-hearted and lovable but they're using her innocence as her weakness and it's frustrating to see. She easily fell for Minho and Dr. Ye just because they showed her kindness. Then her infatuation turns into somewhat obsessive behavior. Young girls, please know that acting like this is not love and will not land you a man. Dr. Ye is supposed to be an intriguing character but they just made him somewhat boring. If Minho wasn't so immature, I actually think having Minho and Boyoung end up together would be more interesting. Also the filler storyline of the radiologists just seem so unnecessary and Defconn's indecisive character gets old pretty fast. Right from trying to sabotage her own happiness to being baffled that someone might actually like who she genuinely is.

I honestly don't get this drama, it seems so clear from the history of kdrama that she's bound to end up with the rich mean guy (which in most case I'm all for) but Dr. Ye is just so respectful and not obsessive like other second leads, I just want him to end up with her. this is worse than the reply series, at least you know who gets the girl even if they make you think otherwise, but for this, just when you think you're sure they leave you with doubts. Dr. Ye is just like the guy for because it's my first life, very socially awkward and respectful to women. I think its time for the respectful guy to get the girl, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen in this case.

I personally love minho and bo young to be together not only because they have history but especially their character's suited each other. Not to mention that minho's character is changing for the good and he is seeing bo young in a different light. I also love how this drama focuses with the secondary actors as well. The romcom drama is very heartwearming and TVN has got some of the best writers I must say.

As for a more general review/insight, the thing that I really liked about this drama would be the fact that they're building an all-around cast rather than just the main leads. They're giving the secondary characters(especially Joo-Young) a good amount of screen time and character development.

And the cast is doing a very great job, totally natural. Yet, you can see creativity in the plot. And a bonus, you get to hear a poem that suits the theme of the ep which is intresting! Also you get to catch the character’s signature words.. i wont spoil, go find out yourself ;)

But it suit the slice-of-life, co medical theme drama, showing other side of medical world i.e medical staff other than doctors and how they live day-to-day basis. The poems they used are beautiful and make it easy for us to relate it to the character's situation.Plot wise, there might be promising personal growth and past revelation towards the end. Personally, BoYoung-JaeWook pair caught me in. Their chemistry is so real and natural with just a few scenes together. Though Boyoung-MinHo pair also have promising future with some 'make-up', if his character grow up first. So far, this can be the 'healing' drama type, watch it to divert myself from other complicated dramas. And that handsome Ye Jae Wook character has this cha-do-nam (cold city guy) aura, but I like it.

Story of kindness, care & concern, empathising, relationships- all of these make good sense of multiple realities in life. Humility & humanity issues are what makes life. To top everything up, i am one who loved poems & literature...a romanticist by nature.. Tq tvN for producing this drama... Amidst the k-dramas that i’ve seen this few years...i find this story & my Ahjussi really refreshing. Most of all- meaningful, heartwarming & enlightening. I’m not saying that the others aren’t good, just that i just love these 2. Worth mentioning also are my my husband oh jak do, marry me now, switch & nice witch. At the same time i’m watching laughter at waikiki bcos of the amazing slapstick humour. Haaa...tq korea..tqsm

When I started watching according to the first two episodes I took Jang dongyoon to be the lead, I don't understand people who want the other guy to end up with the girl..just because they are his fans already through another show. No matter how good and protecting he's shown to be I cant ship bo young with someone else except Minho. Because of how the first two episodes were shot.

Their personalities just have that spark that makes a series 10000000× better to watch put together. Though Min Ho is a good character, he really just doesn't have any chemistry with Bo Young. They have more of a platonic cuteness, even if it's just one sided on his behalf it's fine. But really, he and Bo Young should not end up together. They're really not a good couple... Hopefully it doesn't turn out that way ?

Oh my god! Jang Dong Yoon in here really cute and fresh! It will be another second lead syndrom drama! Goshh! He got so many screentime in ep 1 and 2 than the main lead Lee Joon Hyuk. Hyuk got so little screentime. I think another eps Hyuk will get better screentime than the second lead.

But besides that, I like it so far. The love triangle seems to be predictable at this point anyways. Bo Young liked Min-Ho, but Min-Ho didn't treasured her love and rejected it. So here comes Jae Wook, he's going to get to know Bo Young and eventually start to like her and she will start to like him. Min-Ho soon realizes his true feelings for Bo Young and confesses but is too late as she moves on with Jae Wook. Sounds about right just based on this first episode.
