Do Joong-Eun (Park Jin-Hee) works as an industrial health doctor. She partners with Doctor Heo Min-Ki (Bong Tae-Gyu) to uncover the truth related to industrial accidents, diseases and other incidents that take place at industrial sites.

Do Joong-Eun seeks out the truth which the TL Group wants to cover up.

Park Min Apr 30 2023 1:35 pm This was so damn boring and mind numbing. All the personal relationships were out of place and done poorly especially the leads one. Both the cases and the relationships were conflicting with each other constantly to which one should be given the focus while overshadowing the other. Personally, I would prefer if it was strictly about the cases. Bong Tae Kyu became too much to stomach after a couple of episodes. The story in general wasn't appealing at all, there was no need to give the bad evil corporation/s a character especially since these cases were adapted from real ones.

Could have been better if he stay alive.

But i will try to watch the rest, seems interesting.

It's a really meaningful drama, highlighting the major industrial accidents that have shook south korea over the decades. The politics in south korea is scary. I salute every person out there fighting for justice to be served against big-ass conglomerates who care only about making profits while in the process harming the lives of their own employees and the people of the nation.

Nobody Oct 10 2019 12:32 pm Dear drama watchers, please just give this drama a try. Don't be convinced by the negative comments. The drama might be a little slow, and one of the main actors' character might be a little irritating as some of the commenters here said, but it's all worth a watch when you realized these cases are real-life cases, though of course they changed the storylines a little to make things more interesting. Without this comment being a spoiler, i just want to remind everyone to watch each episodes right until the end, AFTER the roller credits. At the end of some of the episodes, there are really worth-watching footage, some so touching that i cried.

Hart Sep 04 2019 7:24 am The character doesn't resonate with me at all. It's like they choose every actor wrongly. The only character that I like is lee ki woo's role and harang character and also his mom. Others don't deliver the role. They are just like a bunch of office worker to me.

Sxa Aug 09 2019 11:58 pm Can I say that this drama a little bit boring. It's kinda slow and doesn't even gave me the sense of thrill. Looking at how the concept, I think it's more focusing towards the social exposure side that is not really my type of drama. It seems the story are meant to touch our heart and giving lesson of the real life. But still, the story development kind of slow. I don't see what makes the main character skills are special rather than just being trampled on by her in laws. and that guy character, I don't know whats his purpose for partnering with the main with his complaining all the time. The team are just basically like a bunch of common office worker rather than an expertise. Not my cup of tea.

Chau Jul 23 2019 3:43 am @loveithateit. How can u say u loved seeing him die? He was not irresponsible, he died because it was factory's faulty. If you would have seen until end, you would have noticed it was based on a real story. Someone really died this painful death.

Blunt Jul 01 2019 9:01 pm Looks like they didn't have money to make proper trailers for "Doctor Detective". I'm watching Teaser #2, and I'm like "what!" Instead of actual footage, we see random people walking on the street, and we hear someone whistling in the background. I doubt whistling is appropriate for "industrial accidents". But OK, let's not judge the book by its trailer...

LKB Jun 17 2019 4:26 am Ooh, the two most eerie Return characters are partnering up to uncover the evils done by people a bit like Bong Tae Gyu's Return crowd... Rich cheapskates uninterested in the health of normal people they get rich off the backs of. Seems it got tossed to a different slot, maybe because it or another program isn't as ready, but still SBS and weekday, just different weekdays.
