Moon Suk-Goo (Lee Dong-Hwi) works as a manager at Cheonrima Mart, which belongs to the Daema Group. Cheonrima Mart's future looks bleak as they don't have many customers and Moon Suk-Goo is frustrated by the store's situation. One day, Jung Bok-Dong (Kim Byung-Chul), who was an executive at Cheonrima Group, is demoted to the CEO position at Cheonrima Mart. Manager Moon Suk-Goo begins to have hope that the store will experience a turnaround with the new CEO. In actuality, Jung Bok-Dong wants to destroy Cheonrima Mart to take revenge on the parent company for his demotion. Unexpectedly, Jung Bok-Dong's actions soon causes the store to attract customers.

Rob Mar 21 2026 8:35 pm Thoroughly enjoyed this light hearted comedy. I was hooked at the first episode when the 'horn' people broke out in their song. Always an expected turn of events that kept the episodes rolling along without getting bogged down mid series. The cast selection worked fine and caused the characters to grow in approval and enjoyment as the story rolled along. It says a lot that the writers/producers/actors could take such a simple story and make it totally work.

Unwinged Pegasus in Market May 11 2023 10:22 am Love Love Looooveeee it! Definitely a fun and refreshing drama, with a kick of D.R.A.M.A too. I always knew comedy writers are also the best to do heart-wrenching scenes. Great acting and delivery, I may be more than biased because this type of story is just my drug, but I can't recommend it enough. Don't hesitate, just watch!

Though I can't help but feel that it could have ended around the middle. After that, although the main plot is progressing, it feels complete already. However, it remained very entertaining and I'm happy we got 12 episodes. It was a very warm ending for a very warm series, especially since it ended as 2019 is ending, and we know what happened early 2020. But still! 10/10 would watch again or I'm gonna miss the Pegasus Market family too much.

+ I laughed so hard with the eccentric President's actions and see the Manager's whining as somewhat annoying at times but realistically, as someone in HR, the President would have been a nightmare to deal with and I would have reacted much much worse than the Manager lol

Park Min Apr 30 2023 12:08 pm Fun little drama but the concept became stale mid way through with some skits weren't as good as the earlier ones. It would make a great comedy movie with some refinements or at least cut it down to 6-8 episodes while removing the boring bits and this would be a solid package. The music bits were decent. On another note, whenever they use CGI it doesn't blind well especially the shot of the main building they keep using.

Kiya Jun 12 2020 7:51 am Have you ever seen a comedy drama that gives justice to other genres in it as well? Have you ever seen a comedy drama that is funny and heartwarming at the same time? The portions of drama, romance, melo, surrealism, even the villains are all on point. I found it a pleasant surprise that all conversations about life is very relatable for people. The messages about life (mostly from Suk Goo) always get me. I think everyone could relate to him.

The small events yet heartwarming made me cried almost every episode. Episode 8 made me cried really hard, which I haven't done in a really long time watching dramas.

All the casts are great, like really done an excellent job creating characters that eventhought they look like chaos, everyone can relate. The transition between comedy and seriousness in this drama is really good too.

And lastly for me, this drama didn't make hard laugh or rotflol, it made me having good laughs. And that's what I really like because usually other comedy make me laugh really hard.

I really recommend this drama for everyone.

Nalan Feb 12 2020 10:42 am I love this surreal drama, I wasnt expecting this in a Korean drama but it totally rocks! The scenario, actors and actresses were fully charming and funny for me. I wish it never ended and lasted minimum 1.000 episodes, yet I would not bored to watch. Mr. Kim Byung-Chul is now my favourite Korean actor, I will watch every drama and movie he acted in. Again, why did it end too soon? I wish there are second, third, fourth and etc. seasons of this beautiful drama.

I have the utmost respect to Kim Byung-Chul we need more Actors like him who is flexible with any character from the most hated Villain in Goblin, to the Strict Father in Sky Castle then portraying Jung Bok-Dong there is no Actor can top that. Also the ahjussi in Mr.Sunshine (who has funny English accent) famous bad guy in Item Jung In-Gyeom damn seeing him in that dancing scene I literally cried for laughing so hard I can't count the times how may times I re-watch that scene LMAO.

Just a Fan Nov 06 2019 10:20 pm I just love ep 7 of this series. Aside from the wackiness we finally know Jung Bokdong's back story and why he kept getting dreams of himself with bloody hands. The bad chairman just pushed Bokdong to keep sacrificing himself for cleaning up the corp's messes, I feel so bad for him. And even though they're antagonists in the series I thought that Younggoo and Gab's relationship was quite cute and heartwarming because he was always Gab's friend since he was little, but clearly Younggoo was not fully sincere, just one of his attempts to maintain a high position within DM Group. Kwon Younggoo you jerk :(

For the wackiness.. god, the documentary, ramyeon, halloween party.. It's such a fun ep. For the ramyeon part I thought the mulberry (bbong) one was really funny, Inbae the gangster and even the Bbaya tribe leader who was an immigrant knew that the packaging of the ramyeon was referring to the korean classic short story "Mulberry", they just made Seokgoo look like a trash for having dirty thoughts haha, not that anyone can blame him because (bbong) could mean LSD and with the weird picture beside it it can be very ambigous. Even though the packaging was strange at least the ramyeon was tasty.. because it's a sodium bomb.. hmmm..
