Han Hae-Na (Park Gyu-Young) is a single woman and she teaches at a high school. She seems to have an ordinary life, but her family has a secret. Due to her ancestor's fault, Han Hae-Na's family has been cursed for generations. The curse causes her family, when they kiss someone, to turn into a dog at midnight for 6 hours. Afterwards, they revert back to their normal appearance. This transformation repeats itself every night until that person, in their dog appearance, kisses the same person.

Due to her family's curse, when Han Hae-Na meets a man for a potential romantic relationship, she asks that person to not kiss her. This usually leads the men to leave her. One night, Han Hae-Na, who is drunk, accidentally kisses Jin Seo-Won (Cha Eun-Woo). He is a teacher at the same high school, but they are not even close as colleagues. Han Hae-Na soon turns into panic mode and she keeps approaching Jin Seo-Won for a chance to have another kiss.

Meanwhile, Jin Seo-Won has a fear of dogs because of something that happened to him when he was young. He is a teacher with good looks and charisma. He is popular with the students.

kdramalanders Jun 07 2026 3:50 am Maksoon's choice was wrong and was never addressed. This drama messed up in multiple ways as well as using extremely triggering themes as plot accessories. If you're gonna do a romcom, do a romcom. Don't use violence against women as a plot device for like 1 episode and then brush it off with a dramatic rain kiss.

Don't get me wrong because the acting of the cast did the heavy lifting up until the end, but in both timelines, serious problems kept getting presented without proper consequences. Maksoon's choice to betray Choyoung not once but twice without the drama showing an ounce of regret about it is disgusting by the way. After all that the narrative put Choyoung through, I would have been meaner if I were Bogyeom, but the writers really had to make him a likeable villain. It doesn't work that way. Make him cruel if the main characters find him to be cruel. Make him tragic if the story wants him to be tragic. Stop Disney princess-ing villains. In any case, what he did was mild. Petty, yes, but in the end, he was right. Nobody really paid attention to what happened to Choyoung and she was the innocent one in the story.

Sloppy and 2017-coded in a bad way.

Pal May 13 2025 12:03 am I love this series! The story is heartwarming, and Park Gyu Young is such a perfect cast for this. I kind of wish the male lead was Kim Minjae. He had such an unforgetable chemistry with Park Gyu Young in Dali and Cocky Prince. But Cha Eun Woo is not bad at all. He has this cold stoic tsundere image that fits Jin Seo Won's character.

I liked their conversation and healing from the beginning to the middle of the story. But lately there has been an emphasis on the relationships of other characters. and tried to block out the main couple scene They provide many main couple obstacles. But instead, the ending was like episode 14. I was disappointed with their chemistry.

Mimi Jan 11 2024 1:03 am I just discovered Kim Yi Kyeong in this drama. She looked blindingly bright, elegant and gorgeous as the young lady. I was convinced she was an aristocrat from that period. She's also so cool as Ji A. I found a new actress to watch out for. Meanwhile, I'm bothered by Lee Hyun Woo's enunciation so much that I think it affects his acting. I don't even speak Korean, but I can hear he speaks differently than other actors with clean and clear voice and enunciation.

I like Park Gyu-young and Cha Eun-woo here, I enjoy their acting and chemistry. I like Yul too. It looks like I'm not the only one who don't care and get bored about the past of that mountain spirit, to me he is the most pathetic, dumb and annoying immortal being among all i've ever seen in kdramas. He punished innocent people over his misunderstanding. ?

(this will contain SPOILERS) the start was so light and funny, protagonist was quirky and fun whilst trying to convince seowon to go out with her and drink and I found her so sweet every time she defended eunwoo's character from dogs. this was the first series I watched with cha eunwoo and I was so rooting for him to be good, but he really is not a good actor (he is just very pretty). but despite that, I liked his character (it's the type of character I usually enjoy) and it was portrayed okay. that was enough for me to enjoy the series in the beginning, however, when the climax of the main objective of the story was achieved (they kissed, she broke the curse) that's when it came tumbling down on me how weak the story and the characters really were. FL was very bland and had nothing to offer past her curse and her will to break it. and it only got worse knowing their past stories because her past self was even more bland, had the charisma, depth and personality of a wet toilet paper roll (and they did my girl gyu young dirty with the characterization). her main characteristic was being a servant. eunwoo's character main characteristic in the past was being noble. their past love story didn't make any sense and had no appeal whatsoever. why did he fall in love with her? why did she fall for him? why did they started seeing eachother, why did they love each other, how did their romance get so deep to the point of them sleeping together and her getting pregnant? basically no reason for any of this and yet it is expected of us to believe that that is a strong relationship and worthwhile bond. I enjoyed much more seeing the story about the forest spirit and Cho young. I found them endearing and pure even though they didn't have much screen time, their bond was more apparent, understandable and appealing. however things went downhill seeing the reason she ended up dead. couldn't even grasp how the hell I would be able to root for the main character after what she did to her friend. and for what? she would be totally redeemable if she betrayed her friend to save her baby or something along those lines but she threw her so easily under the bus to save her lover, and given the history they shared and how Cho young was so nice to them, that didn't sit well with me at all. and it's even worse when ML did everything he could to save not only FL but Cho young. couldn't sympathise with her struggle after that and ended up thinking that her reincarnation in the present didn't even deserve to be with seowon, that it was a little undeserved. I liked how cha eunwoo portrayed his character's sadness when he was the only one who could remember, he was good in that episode. but that's that. the last 6 episodes were very bad, the past story only made the main couple seem even more bland, the story lost itself, lost the appeal and became just a bunch of useless scenes of them doing nothing worth being shown. the last episode was the saddest last episode I have ever seen. there was nothing there to watch anymore and instead of climax and closure of things like last episodes usually show, we watched a literal filler episode, with extremely long scenes of useless stuff (like the festival), the play scene being repeated back to back in one scene and the next, with scenes of the same five memories the main couple had together and don't get me stated on that scene of the producer trying to cast seowon in single's inferno... what the hell was that? and the more meaningful scene, with the closure for the forest spirit and ji-a lasted what? 4 minutes? and yet, it was the most beautiful in the episode and the only one that felt like something last episode worthy. what annoyed me the most and compelled me to write all of this is that I genuinely loved this series at the beginning, I knew I wouldn't get grand things from it, it was light and silly and I knew it. but it was so funny and I enjoyed so much and then it turned into something so bad, boring and useless, I wasn't expecting it to be like this.

By the way, I think Eun Woo played the role of Seo Won really good. I enjoyed the webtoon more than the drama. They did great job for drama adapting from webtoon for See You in My 19th Life. But for this one, not really good.

I came to think that Cha Eun Woo would make an amazing villain since he has such intense eyes. I would love to see him as the bad guy for once even if I, as always, enjoy his "green flag" roles big time.

There was great emotional tension from the two leads, but Eun Woo is the star of this episode. The plot still remains light, but because of that, watchers could focus on the emotional tension (spoiler alert) of longing for someone who's so near yet you cannot hold.

The storyline of that God whatever in the mountain is boring and spoiler; the scene where the history teacher raises a sword on Eunwoos neck and on the next day, Eunwoos character acted like nothing like JWJSJSJSJ TF? anyways, the only good part is the story when the girl transforms into a dog at night and tries her best to return to normal. Thats it. The end. Episode 8 atleast you can still catch the kissing scene that was good.

Yukii Nov 13 2023 7:58 am I feel bad to the actors and production team for this drama. The ratings are too low and a disaster. The airing schedule is only once a week and sometimes postponed. Only a die hard fan of Eun woo will have the patience to watch this. Its not worth the wait since the plot is just a normal romcom with no interesting or thrilling events to look forward to and a little boring. And my bad it's 14 episodes this will air until next Year. Good thing is Eun Woo has a lot of fans that still support whatever crap his show or all drama his in that's why the rating is still more than 1+. I doubt if tje ML is not Eun Woo, mabe the rating is less than 1.

Korean movie industry, needs to stop adding kpop stars into the dramas. On the other side i must admit korean actress are much better in acting. So far Castaway Diva and Sparkling Watermelon are the best shows in 2023.

Like most of us excited because the main lead actress are really good, but when I see how they are going up in this drama - meh. The funny thing is the drama release once a week, and now probably twice a week, lol.

moonie Nov 07 2023 2:53 pm the schedule is so freaking annoying wth??? we already got only one episode per week and they keep on pushing almost every episode to a next week. it's been almost a whole month since the first episode premiered and we only got 4 episodes, who the does mbc think this is okay? the drama is funny, eunwoo is pretty famous, gyuyoung is a great actress and she looks so cute here + there's the cutest dog I've seen in a drama before, but even with all this the drama will flop because they can't even plan a decent schedule.

She’s beautiful and a great actress especially loved her in Celebrity. Cha Eun-Woo never disappoints…love his character in this one. Looking forward to the next episode.

Other than that, the drama in general is super good and I'm so hooked. Cha Eun-Woo is one of my favorite actors and he's so handsome!!! Park Gyu Young slayed this too, just like she did in 'Celebrity.' If only the episode came out a bit faster, it would've been even better.

It can really affect the ratings and other viewers will just prefer to just wait till its complete since its too long to wait and you can hardly remember the previous scenes for you to recap. Even me I Will just wait till all of the episodes will be complete as I will forget previous episodes and its hard to rewatch recap over and over again.

riri Oct 25 2023 4:29 am First they decide to only release one episode a week when they already have less episodes than a usual dramas, then episode 4 is postponed. So two weeks wait for only one episode. Drama also wont be finished til next year, and might risk more postponing due to new years and Christmas. Not off to a good start and the long wait will greatly affect the viewers interest. Especially since not much has happened story wise so far, many people may find it better to wait til the airing completes to watch it altogether.

I disagree with those stating there is no climax. It is only 3 episode. Hahaha. We could not expect climax in the first few episodes. Very funny and some mystery going on with thr history teacher so i cant wait for more ep. Just one thing though, we all know that ML cha eon woo is super handsome, perfectly handsome ok. Why does all his shows highlight on his visuals? He still needs to improve a bit on his acting but with toooooo much focus on his visuals, like he is dorected to pose on some scenes, his focus goes to his posing and being handsome and he cant focus on acting. I dunno how to explain properly i just hope they highlight his acting even with thr most mundane scene instead of his face. But all on all i adore him and this series.

Can't wait for this to come out, I'm suspecting it might come out during summer time this year! I'm a big fan of this Webtoon and it excites me that they even got my favourite actors and actresses too! Hopefully the broadcast date is finalised soon and hopefully it's available in streaming platforms like Netflix.
